Sleeping up to 7 guests, Sea View @ 44 is a spacious and welcoming split level apartment. Located within one of the most iconic buildings in Whitby, the property can be seen from all approaches into the town and boasts incredible sea views. You’ll have full access to the apartment during your stay which includes three bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom, a separate shower room, a fully equipped kitchen and a large living / dining space.
The space
Sea View @ 44 has a spacious kitchen with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, hob, refrigerator, microwave, kettle and toaster. The black, high shine kitchen cabinets are ultra sleek and the large L shaped island is a real focal point within the space.

The kitchen leads into the living and dining area which is a great place to socialise and unwind with your loved ones. The dining area features a table and leather dining chairs. Boasting comfortable sofas, a matching armchair and a TV, the living area is cosy and homely.

You’ll find two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill shower room on the same floor. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed and the second bedroom sleeps 3 guests with a double and single.

On the first floor, you’ll find the third bedroom which is a king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.

Fabulous views from all windows. Very spacious apartment. 5 minute walk into the centre. Heating was excellent. The bad points. Extremely tired and dated. Lots of stains on carpets Blinds in 2 bedrooms and kitchen were filthy The price was reasonable for 3 nights but in this condition I wouldnt want to pay the amount they are charging for the summer. It would have been a stunning apartment in its day but sadly no TLC has been given to it lately.

Pros: Beautiful views, situated in a great location for access to Whitby and has a lovely spacious layout and feel to it. The decor is a bit dated with some peeling wallpaper in places but overall nice. Cons: On arrival the lift didn't work which was a key part of selecting this place due to accessibility for one of our guests. I will note that this was mentioned to the host and was fixed the next morning which we greatly appreciated. Another point was that for a December visit, the heating had not been turned on and the place was freezing! It took over 6 hours to heat up and we had a baby and a 70yr old with us (the hosts were aware) so was not great conditions for them. Finally, we were told only after the first night that the downstairs toilet had a problem, making only the upstairs ensuite toilet available. We had a guest with accessibility issues and stairs to the toilet was very difficult to manage, as well as making it an issue at night when guests in that room were sleeping.

Wonderful apartment in an amazing location. Easy to find and park although we had to walk around the building a couple of times to find the entrance (as it was marked Metropole Towers and not the Metropole Court which I had expected from the address). The view is out-of-this-world and the flat has everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. Particularly impressed with the shower (I may even look to getting one for myself!) Unfortunately, there was one negative and its a shame that I feel the need to have to mention it :( but... the standard of housekeeping was really not great :( The need for me to have a quick clean and hoover round before we unpacked (although I ignored the cobwebs, I would have been there all day!) was greatly outweighed by the positives of Seaview@44 however, so unless you're particularly fastidious about housekeeping, don't let it put you off staying. Overall, it was great and thanks to the owners for a lovely holiday :)

Absolutely stunning. A hidden gem, the flat is like a penthouse that a footballer would live in. Whilst the building itself has character and history, the interior has been very well thought out with lots of amenities. The flat is located a 10 min walk to bars/shops etc. 100% will come back and recommend to friends! Thank you!
