Great location with plenty to do in every direction. Excellent flat with great views and comfortable stay with everything we needed.

Would have liked curtains in the rooms as the blinds weren't enough to keep the light out in the mornings.

The location is great, close enough to the main town but away from the noise. The parking permit provided was a real bonus. The flat was clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. We would have been happy to have stayed longer.

It was a bit of a hike up the 40 or so stairs from the street to the flat.

Amazing location - so close to beach, shops, pubs etc. but once at the apartment it was lovely and quiet, so the best of both worlds! Appreciated the permit for the car park right behind the building. Wonderful to have views of the Abbey.
We (2 adults, 3 children) were very happy with the size and cleanliness of the apartment and would love to stay again!

Facilities. At first, we thought it was like a rabbit Warren, but actually, the quirky layout offered good privacy.
We got there early, and could go in a bit early. However we did leave early too, and let cleaner in early

Beds could have had better mattresses, and the master bedroom was big enough for a bigger bed. We were rather cramped in bed. Not even sure if it wasn't a "small" double.
But everything else was fine.

Couldn't work out using the oven, even though we are used to them.

We visited Dales place as a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we all found it great, it was very clean and airy. it was very windy when there and the windows were great at blocking out the sound etc.
I would say that if you struggle with stairs, it might be a bit hard for you to get to, but for us this wasn't a problem.

Perfect location for visiting Whitby and sandsend. The flat is clean and cosy with lots of space. The kids slept 12 hours in the bunk beds after a day of exploring the beach! Easy to find. Free parking outside. Clear communication from host via app. Thank you!

The flat was large and the location was great. But housekeeping felt very slapdash. This is the first time we have ever arrived at a holiday let and found no bin liner in the bin and none left anywhere, and there was rubbish from the last guests in the bathroom (e.g empty mouthwash bottle). Cleaning was ok but it felt cursory, for instance the bathroom sinks could have done with a spray and wipe down and the living room floor looked as if it could have done with more vacuuming. There were also maintenance issues. The main lightbulb in the bedroom was flickering horribly, and blind broken. One of the plugs in the kitchen not working. It felt as if whoever was in charge of changeover didn't care very much! We also had to chase Home and Stay for the address and key code to get in the night before arriving as despite being regularly spammed with messages from them (especially when they wanted the additional cleaning deposit to be paid) they hadn't bothered to share this information.

This was really well located & just as described. Pleased we decided to stay in this area as it was well within walking distance of the harbour & main attractions. Lovely views from lounge & kitchen & whilst there was no direct parking the car park behind the property, West Cliff had spaces so we’re able to park there easily. Helped by a parking permit available in the apartment. Would definitely recommend it if you want relaxation & peace away from the hustle & bustle unyet close by if you want it! Great equipped kitchen & the en suite shower was fabulous!

Apartment was as described and in an absolutely fantastic location. Some of the pictures didn’t match the description so messaged to check and it was clear from there. Parking permit was hard to find at first but a quick call settled the matter brilliantly. Be careful when pricing to factor in the cleaning fee within budgets. Apartment was brilliant but sometimes the cleaning fee appears as a slightly hidden charge and you only see it when processing towards booking.

After booking the host sent us an external link asking to pay extra for damage waiver/deposit (even though Airbnb provides Aircover which includes damage protection for all hosts by default).
We got surprised as at the time of booking there was no mention of the extra fees value. Talking to the host was unsuccessful, so we escalated it to the Airbnb Support who agreed the host was violating the policy by taking extra charges without mentioning those (incl. its value) in the listing & price breakdown at the time of booking. Airbnb paid us the amount to pay the host for the damage waiver.
Now the host corrected this listing, it now shows the extra fees & their values. Other listings of this host are still not specifying the amount they take extra in ‘damage waiver/ deposit’ so be vigilant.
At the place we had to wash the plates, towels had stains. No cooking oil, no scissors, no cafetière/coffee maker as stated. We were sent lots of promos/ checkout reminders, very commercialised!

What a gem of a property! The flat was very well maintained with excellent facilities, and ideally located with many amenities within a short walking distance. Very quiet too - ideal for a decent night's sleep after a tiring day. Be aware that there is only one shower in the property - the second bathroom does have a large bathtub with a flexible showerhead, so you need to coordinate if everyone wants to use the shower.
Would definitely recommend it as a base for exploring Whitby!

this is only my 2nd time at an air BnB,but the apartment is beautiful and exactly as described and the photo's are accurate. it truly felt like, a home away from home. the lounge was big and had 2 large and comfy sofas. the TV was a decent size and you can access your own Netflix etc. the fully working and decent sized kitchen,was great. we made full use of the fridge freezer,kettle and toaster,plus the oven was relatively easy to use(we worked out how to get the jobs working,after a few confused minutes). both of the bathrooms,were lovely!! the big corner bath was great and I loved the walk in shower,with amazing water pressure.. the bedrooms,were really well decorated and cozy. the bed was extremely comfortable and the blinds,were a nice touch,to keep any light out. the location is excellent,so close to the beach and the views from the lounge are wonderful, especially watching the sunset!.. the hosts were friendly, quick at responding and very helpful.. a truly great trip and stay!!.

We were staying in flat 3, everything was spot on, clean and tidy, a lot of kitchenware, salt pepper, coffee and tea, nice view from kitchen, car park close to apartments, there was parking permit as well in our apartment, but it's not been mentioned in advert, so we paid it first , and we just found parking permit when we came upstairs, but we managed to return money we've paid for parking. So it's not a big issue. Overall we are very happy been staying in this apartment, will recommend to our friends

There's is a hiden costs which is not mentioned in advert -25£ deposit which is not returnable. Also parking permit could be mentioned in advert.

Great location, free & easy parking within sight, within walking distance of many shops & restaurants. beautiful water view, familiar accommodation (2nd stay), homey feel, improved instructions for Wifi, washing machine, heated clothes drying rack, good choice of TV shows, dishwasher, heat! It was cool while we were there in June and Fox's Hideout was the first place we stayed at that provided heat!

Climbing two flights of stairs with luggage (but we already knew that), bunk beds in second bedroom (new to us), needed to buy supplies (extra rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods) when we didn't have to last year. The kitchen wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Only one shower.

Lovely clean apartment. Well equipped and cosy.
Only thing that caused concern was its 3 floors up. Which did prove difficult for a partially disabled member of our group.
Should really make this clear to potential customers.
Other than that, everything was spot on. Will book host and stay again without doubt. Just not so many flights of stairs.

We had to sleep in the car with three people for a night because the accommodation didn’t give us the key locker code in time and weren’t reachable. We’re 1,5 months later and we still didn’t get a refund. I tried to reach out at least 4 times and it is getting ridiculous. It also wasn’t clean, the fake eyelashes of the previous guest was still lying on the bathroom cabinet. Wouldn’t recommend

Location was fantastic which is ideal for visiting Whitby.

The facilities state there is a smart TV where you can stream by signing into your accounts however this is not the case. The TV isn't connected to the internet and isn't smart so this should be changed in the wording.

Large apartment - quite modern

The lights on the stairs in the public areas leading up to the property did not work - we reported this but nothing was done and earlier guest had reported the same problem.

Also Host and Stay have a hidden charge of £10 for admin of the damage bond which is not mentioned in the original price - you don't find out about this until you are completing the booking, so you can't take it into account when you are making initial comparisons.

Location, views, spacious, cosy . Sea view from kitchen and living room Abbey views from bedrooms. Clean and comfortable. Nice Bathroom with bath and en-suite with shower to main bedroom. Relaxing after lots of walking around Whitby.

Dishwasher not working, fridge and oven could have been cleaner but not awful. Needs more plates and chairs (sleeps 4 but only 2 of each). Interesting choice of Mugs/cups! 😂 could do with a hairdryer and the power lead for radio in kitchen.

Loved the views. Loved the location. Loved the proximity to Pizza West!

Didn’t like the fact that there was no hairdryer, it’s listed on the site. Even after pointing it out to the staff one wasn’t forthcoming. Didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t get the tv to work even after subscribing to NetFlix and got no help sorting it out. I know we didn’t go on holiday to watch TV but it’s nice after a day of walking and sight seeing to be able to relax in front of something in the evening.

Location great and fantastic views and parking nearby plenty of coat hanging space.
Fully stocked kitchen with thoughtful extras.
Wasn't too hot or too cold. The main bedroom was nicely furnished and a good size.
Key safe was easy to use.
Had a great time. Just needs a bit of tlc.

The shared entrance and stairs smelt and neglected.
The flat needs a coffee table in the front room as you don't have a dinner table for 4.
The bathroom and toilet need peddle bins.
It would be better if the shower head was fitted over the bath. Shower in ensuite was quite mouldy and shower head was leaking.The 2nd double bed room was small and neglected and disappounting for a couple. The bedding didn't match the pillows or the room. Dishwasher didn't work. Shower was quite mouldy and kitchen cupboards a bit sticky.
The beds could have been a bit comfier..

The location was very good, and the accommodation was comfortable and clean. There were excellent views from all the windows and we really enjoyed our stay.

WiFi didn't work. Also perhaps our fault for not doing it properly but could only get BBC on the TV. Lack of lamps/bulbs was also a bit inconvenient.

Not as advertised! Broken furniture, broken dishwasher , dirty oven and grill, fridge smelly freezer full of old food, cupboards full of food, dirty cups, broken bedside light and worst of all could only get one channel on tv, rang helpline got no help! This list could go on and on!

The property and amenities where all as described and well maintained. The property is in a great location to walk into Whitby town center and has some lovely views of the coast line from the Kitchen / living room windows.
