The space
The Giraffe Enclosure, nestled in King Edward VIII wood, offers luxurious glamping with unique animal-themed decor throughout.This quirky accommodation sleeps up to six, featuring two king-sized beds (including a cabin bed) and a twin bedroom. It includes a fully fitted bathroom, a lounge with a TV, DVD player, and a wood burner, plus a dining area.
The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, hobs, kettle, toaster, and plenty of counter space for family meals.
Outside, enjoy a fire pit with seating among the trees and grassland, perfect for marshmallow toasting. There’s also a private wood-fired hot tub for a truly relaxing experience.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole Safari Tent for the duration of their stay. Your access details will be sent to you prior to your check in date.

This is such a beautiful, private spot in the forest. Its set within a hollow so you just have the forest surrounding you. Because its a canvas enclosure it is chilly inside, but fine as soon as you light the fire. The electric blankets provided with the beds were super cosy though and we had SUCH good sleep with the quiet!
The only thing was we didn't get the logs that were meant to be provided for the sauna, but we had brought our own after reading the reviews (we used four entire bags of kiln dried logs). The hot tub took us 7 hours to heat, so I'd start early! Overall such a beautiful spot, we loved the fire pit and hot tub, and slept beautifully. Theres also some really nice walks nearby.

We stayed in the giraffe Lodge for 2 nights
Well equipped kitchen, hot tub was lovely, heated blankets in the bed were amazing. Also great to have a large fire pit and inside fire.
Very peaceful, quiet and super cozy, especially staying in winter. Being what felt like the middle of nowhere also meant we could see so many stars!
But when reading the description on the website of the giraffe Lodge there was some stuff that wasn't quite as expected.
There were none of the "toiletries from the natural spa factory and also our homemade bath salts" just two bottles of tesco conditioner.
With how much we spent definitely expected much more wood and firelighters. After the first night we were already completely out, so I had to pay extra money for the firepit, hot tub and indoor fire. Even that wasn't much and didn't come with kindling or fire starters.
But overall it was definitely a lovely experience and not many places like it. We felt totally isolated, even though

- For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 30 full days before the listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
- If the guest cancels fewer than 30 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.
- If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
