We had a wonderful few days at the cottage with our two small children. It was very warm (which was welcomed on a drizzly October afternoon) and we instantly felt at home. It was spotlessly clean and the beds and sofa were extremely comfortable. We would recommend it and stay again.

We had a great few days stay at Haclin’s Cottage. The cottage itself was perfect for us, loved the space and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The location is secluded and quiet but a short drive to amenities in Fakenham and centrally placed to lots of different attractions in North Norfolk. The cottage was clean on arrival and had all the amenities we needed, including lots of kitchen equipment for cooking and dining. The downstairs toilet was a nice and unexpected find after a couple of days too! Would definitely return to this cottage again in the future!

The cottage was lovely - a quaint location with nice pubs within driving distance. The property was clean and well stocked with tea, coffee etc. The only downside of our booking was the property managers agreed to adding an additional night to be paid directly. The week before I messaged to confirm this to which they advised they could no longer do - so I suppose from this I would encourage others to book the entire stay through air bnb

Absolutely loved our stay in Norfolk! The Airbnb was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location was perfect—peaceful, with beautiful countryside walks and the coast just a short drive away. Our hosts were welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we felt right at home. Would definitely book again!

Lovely house in a great location, but let down by poor cleaning and some damaged furniture. The house is beautifully decorated, and the snacks and milk left for us were appreciated. However, the internet was very slow (~2Mbps), though the DVD selection helped. Some furniture was damaged, including unsafe wardrobe doors in the master bedroom with broken hinges, and a cracked stair that felt unstable. The stairs are steep and may be unsuitable for older guests. The biggest issue was cleanliness: dirt and hair in kitchen drawers, and the bathroom had a strong mould smell. The shower curtain had black mould, and there was red mould in the tile grout. We contacted the host but mainly received automated replies and were promised a cleaner who never arrived. After that, communication dropped off entirely. It’s a shame, this home was once clearly cared for, but now feels neglected by a management company cutting corners for profit. A disappointing experience overall.

Haclin's Cottage is a lovely place with every amenity you will need for your stay. It is in a picturesque and remote setting but not to far from civilisation on a bike or in a car. I would have given the place 5 stars but whoever was kind enough to leave bread, milk and biscuits for our arrival forgot to switch on the hot water and subsequent poor communication (and a supposed visit by an engineer which never happened) then left us having cold showers for two of the three days we stayed. I eventually found the boiler control and sorted it out myself. ps. its in a hidden cupboard on the RHS of the downstairs toilet just in case any future renters need it!

The cottage is really lovely. It’s nicely decorated and has a nice-sized garden at the back. The kitchen is well-stocked and there’s a generous selection of DVDs. The beds were very comfortable (such soft bedding!) and it was warm inside the cottage, too. However, the dishwasher was broken, there was no sheet for the cot despite the host messaging us to say there would be one, and no spare bedding anywhere in the property which would have been useful. Also note that there’s no washing detergent, shampoo, etc. Finally, I think their customer service is handled by an AI because most of my messages were replied to twice. I’m not against chatbots however I would prefer more of a human-touch from an Airbnb property.

We spent a relaxing few days in the house, exploring North Norfolk. The house itself is in a quiet location on the edge of a small village. We felt it was very good value for a charming property. As others have noted, there is definitely room for some minor redecoration etc, but for the price paid there are no complaints at all. It was also reassuring to see that they have taken other reviews on board and the kitchen cupboards were better stocked with cups and plates etc. There are two bedrooms each with a double bed, plus a small nursery. Despite signing up as two adults plus two children, the sleeping arrangements weren't questioned by the host - other families might not have been happy with the double bed for children, for example, so take a look at the photos carefully - and be sure to ask the host if you need accommodating! We would be very happy to stay again, although perhaps we would choose a different part of Norfolk for a change.

Pros -Lovely location, nice and quiet -nice walks nearby - beautiful exterior Cons - description states garden is ‘enclosed’ but the gate has a big gap at the bottom that a dog could get of out of and the garden at the back has a gap so I had to keep my dog on a lead- not ideal - really low and uncomfortable couch in the living room- which ashame when we spent a lot of time in this room -steep stairs hard to carry a baby! - description does state this but one to be aware of - the cot they provide had missing newborn parts and no sheet. When contacted they said it wasn’t in their t&c but therefore unusable for us. - some of the utensils/pans have seen better days and needed a good clean Overall the house does the job, especially if you’re out and about, but it needs a bit of TLC. Living room furniture and lick of paint here and there would greatly improve the listing

This was a perfect, dog-friendly bolthole in the middle of the Norfolk countryside. It looks exactly as it does in the photos (although some of the furniture looks little more loved in places, but in a sweet way). The place was spotless - we even got a welcome pint of milk, loaf and other little treats. The cottage is incredibly quiet, private and serene. Directions and check-in were no problem at all. Its accessible down a single-track road but it's tarmac-ed, so easy to drive along. You'd definitely need a car - Fakenham is a fair few miles away on foot. Nothing was more than a 40-minute drive away. If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet, then this place is perfect. A few things to note: phone reception is minimal (just in case it matters). WiFi was pretty good for Netflix etc., but not super-fast. The place is let through a management company. They were responsive but, when the dishwasher broke, not particularly enthusiastic about coming out to repair it :)

The location was ideal, 30 minutes from all major attractions. Its also quiet and very peaceful location with lots of field walks and a play ground around the corner. We arrived to fridge with Milk in it and Orange juice, with some biscuits and dog treats left on the side. The beds were comfortable and well laid out. However its not perfect and the cottage has aged more than the photos suggested. Dishwasher was broken, which was a bit of a pain. The hot water wasnt turned on so it had to be boosted ahead of using it. The internet is so slow dont expect much, the tv also kept losing signal. The sofa looked comfortable but was almost collapsing. The stairs are stupidly steep (This is well hidden at the bottom of the advert), with very small steps. If you have small kids I would be careful. Overall we had a lovely stay just these few minor points let it down.

Phenomenal home and great location for exploring Norfolk. The house is very cosy and has a great sitting room with loads of movies and games. Really lovely for a trip with your family or with another couple. Only thing I’d recommend is that they’re more upfront with how to turn the hot water on - it wasn’t mentioned in listing or the handbook in the house but seems to be a recurring problem as they have a YouTube video for it. Other than that great - if you’re staying long and plan on cooking I’d bring some sharp knives and larger cookware but they do have things ready for you! Really lovely home and well managed.

Haclins Cottage was such a lovely place to stay. Its very welcoming and cosy. Beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed and the fact we could close the gate and enclose the garden, was ideal for our dog. There's definitely a knack to descending the staircase, but the listing does mention they're steep and it adds to the beautiful character of the cottage. The location was very peaceful and you can hear lambs, woodpeckers and birdsong outside. We even saw a muntjac walking through the garden one morning....just stunning. From the cottage, we travelled back and forth to the coast, which was about 20mins away. We loved it here and would love the chance to return.

I recently stayed at Haclin's cottage - it was an absolute delight. The place was not only clean but also situated in a fantastic location, making it easy to visit my desired destinations (Holt, Holklham, Sandringham, Brancaster). Tucked away in a quiet area, the home offered a peaceful retreat. The interior design was very tasteful, creating a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped and I was also very grateful for the dog treats and some welcoming food the host left for me. The host was very responsive and helpful. This place exceeded my expectations, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

We had a lovely stay in Haclins cottage, absolutely beautiful surrounding area and really great to get to all the nearby towns to explore. The house itself offers a lot of character and charm, it has a very home-away-from-home feeling and was a lovely retreat whilst exploring the peaceful Norfolk coast. Some of the furnishings and kitchen utensils/appliances could do with a refresh and perhaps some more comfortable outdoor furniture, but overall this did not deter from us having a comfortable stay.

A beautiful cottage in a quiet, peaceful spot. Interior was like home from home and it was great that the beds were so comfortable with good linen and pillows. Thank you for the basic groceries, the dog treats were a lovely touch. Great location to visit Holkham and Burnham Market. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return at some point. It’s worth knowing that the staircase treads are narrow & quite steep with no carpet, can be a bit slippery with socks on. Would definitely recommend!

The property is beautiful and set in some lovely countryside where you can see the stars every night. The kitchenware needs an update, and the hot water can be iffy, but is otherwise very nice.

We stayed here for a week and we had a lovely holiday. The location was great, which is why we picked this holiday home. If you have a young family then it’s ideal as there is lots of things do (25/40 mins drive) The overall house was good, it’s a beautiful looking cottage and is quiet and peaceful. The interior is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint here and there (but that’s personal opinion) The kitchen utensils could be improved/expanded/updated. There was lack of oven dishes/casserole pots/roasting pan etc and there were only 4 plates/cups/mugs which meant the dishwasher was never a “full” load. However saying all this we managed. I did bring my slow cooker which was actually a god send as we cooked all of our meals in this house for 7 days and the lack of oven dishes meant we cooked our lasagne in a frying pan! 🤣 The communication was great, fast replies and all questions answered. I would certainly recommend this home as it was lovely and peaceful, if you like peaceful that is. In terms of kitchen items, you might need to bring some additional cookware with you if you intend to do a lot of cooking. But would recommend.

You will not be disappointed when you stay in Haclins cottage in the lovely village of Stibbard. It is well appointed with a beautiful back garden where you can see Barn owls and bats swooping in the early evening. Very well positioned for great beaches within half an hour of the cottage

Gorgeous cottage in a stunning location, incredibly peaceful village and well situated to the coast and local town of Fakenham (perfect for grabbing the essentials). The property had real style and the garden well landscaped, idyllic in many ways. Unfortunately, we weren’t overly impressed with the management of the property and it didn’t meet our expectations as a super host. For example, the description notes a ‘welcome pack’ which was non-existent… There is general room for improvement for the provisions and cleanliness of the cottage. Be aware if you plan to cook meals, the kitchen equipment (whilst the kitchen is great) pans, saucepans, bowls etc. were not provided and was in the cupboards were in an unusable state. All things that we’ve fed back to the management team (who we have to say are very communicative and responsive). Overall it is a good little place, but needs a few basics to make it a great holiday home.

A dream of a cottage down a country lane far from real life. Haclins Cottage has everything you could need; beautiful decor, all the mod cons, the comfiest beds (100% purchasing some of the pillows for home!) a beautiful garden all within easy reach of all that North Norfolk has to offer. We lived our best country life for the week we were here and we can't wait to come back! Thanks for sharing your house with us.

My wife and I had a lovely week staying at Haclin's cottage with our baby. It was exactly as shown, beautiful and cosy in the evenings, and felt very spacious throughout. It has a good kitchen with a large fridge and big freezer. There is loads of cupboard space (both clothes and in the kitchen), a playground a 5 minute walk, and supermarket (with petrol) a 7 minute drive. For those with young children we would also especially recommend the soft play at Pensthorpe National Park a 6 minute drive away. We would definitely come back!
