Beautifully refurbished in 2021, The Orpington is a stylish studio apartment offering a peaceful getaway for couples. This cosy escape features access to a fire pit, lovely gardens and a shared outdoor pool, which is open May to September. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing or exploring the popular North Norfolk area. Accommodating up to two guests, The Orpington provides a tranquil romantic retreat.

The space

The Orpington Garden Studio is a lovely one-bedroom property with a king-sized bed, kitchenette, and dining table for two. French doors lead to a decked seating area with views of the garden, duck pond, and distant fields.

The kitchenette includes a kettle, toaster, microwave, hot plates, crockery, and silverware. The studio also features a built-in wardrobe, two armchairs, a dressing table, and a flat-screen TV.

The spacious bathroom offers a large walk-in shower.

Set on two acres, guests can enjoy the shared gardens, fire pit, and a heated outdoor swimming pool, complete with seating, sun loungers, and parasols. The pool is open from 17th May to the end of September.

I had a great stay at Orpington apartment with my daughter. It was easy to find the property, had a great communication with Molly who manages the place. Comfortable and spacious bed, well equipped kitchen, nice view from the terrace (it is situated by rather busy road so expect some noise), enormous bathroom with a good shower. The pool was just perfect in this hot weather. Lovely garden to play games. Good location 5mins drive to Cromer and local shops. Had the pleasure to meet the owners who are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place. Hope to visit again in the future.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at The Eiders, we received a very warm welcome when we arrived onsite, the studio is very clean & spacious. The host’s have thought about every little detail you need for a comfortable stay. Many thanks!

Lovely place, great location, view of duck pond perfect, sun trap and reading place. Short drive to either Cromer or Sherringham.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eiders. The apartment was lovely and it's location was great for getting to various places we wanted to see while in Norfolk. The duck pond and ducks were a wonderful sight to see every day right outside our door. A big thank you to Simon and Odelle, who were great hosts and made us feel really welcome. Highly recommended.

The Eiders, Aylmerton is a lovely place to stay. The location was ideal for getting to either Sherringham or Cromer and even walking to the seaside at West Runton. Our apartment had been newly refurbished and we had everything we needed there. The pool at the property is clean and well maintained. An added bonus are the Runner Ducks in the garden of The Eiders. There were about 10 adults and a load of chicks when we were there. Sitting on our veranda watching the ducks whilst eating our breakfast was an endless delight. They are really cute. There is one pub close,(200 metres), called The Roman Camp, that serves really good food and drinks if you don't want to self cater for your entire holiday. All in all I'd recommend The Eiders as a great place to stay. We'll go back there if we have the chance which is probably the best review we can give. Russ and Anita Cooper.
