Really lovely location. As previous reviews state it’s definitely in need of a refresh but still very lovely. We did have to clean the house quite a bit before using anything as everything was dirty, especially kitchen and bathrooms. Pool is great fun but again needs some maintenance done. We have a lovey stay and the size suited us perfectly for 7 guests. It’s just needs a good deep clean and a spruce up.

The house was extremely comfortable and very homely with it's choice of sofas! Large, spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and three toilets, noone had to wait for the facilities. The weather was excellent so the pool was used multiple times through the day. We ventured out every day and the fun continued when we got home making the most of it! The kids were even in the pool after breakfast before going out! Some reviews mentioned outdated decor but I felt right at home. I felt like I was staying in a home not a hotel which we all enjoyed. The kitchen is beautiful and sunny most of the day. Well equipped for the roast that I cooked for everyone (maybe some scales and a whisk would have made life a little easier?) There were a couple of issues along the way but host and stay delt with them promptly so I'm not going to moan. Although I did forget to mention about the shower cubicle downstairs leaking however we managed the floor with the mop and bucket after each use. I highly recommend ❤️

The house is in need of an update! Very dated. As expected from the photos however the photos are not very accurate,broken cupboards & broken drawers in the kitchen. Covers on the chairs in the kitchen are very stained. Living room sofas not the comfiest. Minimal storage in bedrooms to store clothing. The bathroom upstairs really needs a refurb, stains, black marks in shower. Again minimal storage for products. The best part we initially thought was the pool however the pump constantly goes off to heat it. And unless you realise and go sort it, the pool temperature drops really quick! Overall an “okay” stay. Not worth what we paid unfortunately! Lots of cobwebs & dead flys on windowsills on arrival which you’d expect to have been cleaned. Nice area, peaceful and quiet with wildlife around. We wouldn’t return but given its area if it was updated & throughly cleaned we likely would!

The whole house is in general need of updating. We were very unfortunate with the weather meaning we spent more time at the house than we had planned. Little things would have made the stay much better, for example having condiments in the kitchen(even salt pot was empty) We had to go and buy things like toilet roll, kitchen surface spray, bin bags. The towels were very small and not the best quality. Tumble drier although looks new didn’t produce any heat. The summer house with all the chairs and pool stuff was disgusting. Everything was just chucked in there and it stunk, we later discovered someone had left bait in the crabbing kit. Assuming this area isn’t checked. Could do with some board games in the house rather than just puzzles which have pieces missing. The pool saves this house

We enjoyed our stay! It’s a lovely home You are kinda in the middle of nowhere, so expect to drive if you want to go anywhere and also taxi’s were quite expensive for only short distances. The house was lovely, amazing kitchen. Was a little outdated in decor and the pool was quite shallow - we didn’t make as much use of this as we’d hoped. Parking enough for 3 cars

Fantastic holiday and the house gave us everything we needed to have a wonderful, memorable family holiday. We would have liked to been able to check in at 2pm instead of 4pm and check out at 11am instead of 10am.

Good location , very quiet and close to broads . Honestly could do with some TLC much of the property and grounds are tired and need updating . But a good size house for family time .

The house was clean and very spacious for our family of 9. The pool was a huge hit with everyone. It was lovely and warm upon arrival and everyone jumped straight in! We found the location peaceful and perfect for exploring the broads and Norfolk coastline. The negative for us was that we had an ongoing issue with the washing machine. It didn’t work for the entirety of our trip which made life very difficult. We travelled with 3 young children and always stay in this type of accommodation because we need facilities like this. We had no clean towels all week and had to hand wash clothing essentials. Something that is far from ideal on holiday, especially when you’ve paid over £4,000. Although an engineer was eventually sent, it didn’t fix the issue and no clean towels were provided despite our request.

Excellent accommodation ..could do with a freshen up in places.. Excellent communication with the hosts.. Plenty of outside seating(not listed) The pool was fabulous for us.. Excellent location.. Small welcome pack and lots of towels for everybody.. Would definitely return next year..

The pool was beautifully warm upon our arrival despite the fact that the pool "season" had begun just a couple of days previously and despite the recent horrific power cost increases. I was very grateful for that as we had 5 small children who virtually lived in the pool, which is 1.2m deep and ideal for young swimmers. Furthermore, the pool is very private and so children can make as much noise as they want without adults worrying about disturbance to others. The house is in a beautiful location and lots of wildlife visited while we were there (notably Muntjac deer and a hare who sunbathed on the lawn besides the pool). The White Horse Inn is well worth the walk (about 2.5 miles each way) and beautiful Horning not that much further.

alderfen view is a fantastic place to stay for a break in Norfolk. the house is very comfortable and has everything you could need. the pool is a great addition to the garden and the house is ideally situated for exploring the Broads and the coast
