Really gorgeous place! Well equipped and brilliant location for all the sites in north Norfolk, or in our case for a wedding at Chaucer Barn. Went with kids and was very family friendly

Hen house was a lovely spot for a last minute trip. It was easy to check in, the house was lovely. It is only a short drive from sheringham, Cromer and the surrounding areas. Thank you, we would stay again!

Firstly and most importantly, I would recommend this place. Good size and nice decor. It was as described and I have no major complaints and overall was happy with out stay. My only real minor issue, was I felt the property needed a good clean. It was grubby in areas, which I am sure the hosts will address.

We had a wonderful stay at Hen Barn near Gresham. The property is incredibly private and quiet, providing a peaceful retreat. The barn is well-equipped with everything you might need, including three generously sized bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen, diner, and sitting room. The location is perfect, with easy access to a majority of the nearby beaches and attractions. While some of the spaces inside were a bit tight, this didn't detract from our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely consider returning!

It’s our second stay at Hen Barn. This time over Christmas. A great place to be with a small group. There’s a space for everyone to sit back and relax. The coast is close. It’s a peaceful spot.

The place was very well laid out and the garden was great for our dog (and us). The place was comfortably big enough for 2 adults, 4 kids and a dog. It was very quiet and peaceful and in a lovely private location. Some of the fridge shelving was broken, as were some of the kitchen lights, but I'm sure its an easy fix and will be sorted.

Hen Barn is stylish and relaxed. It was also very cosy in the biggest storm for years. Its situation is quiet but it is near so many beaches and other places you’ll want to visit. We’d definitely go back to Hen Barn.

Lovely holiday property. Really well equipped kitchen and lots of lovely gifts on arrival. Barn was just as described with great open plan area downstairs with plenty of space for the family to either be together or do different things without getting in each others way. Good garden space for the dog. Location is a good for North Norfolk and the Broads but the only downside is there is nothing in the village itself.

What a great stay we had in the Hen Barn, perfect for couples and family this place is spacious and inviting, we loved the layout and well stocked kitchen. The TV was easy to use thank goodness as we watched England game! There is a great pub nearby (15 minute walk) 'The Wheatsheaf' and LOTs of other places a short drive away. North Norfolk is one of our favorite destinations and we will stay here again for sure!

We had a great time at Hen Barn, so much so that it is only the second holiday where my wife was upset to come home! We are a family of only three (we have a toddler) and, even though there were more bedrooms than we needed, it was the perfect size for us. The garden is really safe with lots of grass for our daughter to run around on and she enjoyed the open-plan interior too. The kitchen was very well fitted (full fridge/freezer) which was an important feature for us as we're vegan and Norfolk isn't too vegan-friendly quite yet (unless you like chips!). It was easy to get a shop delivered too (Asda were great!) Parents will know that you often have to build excursions around your childs naps! Hen Barn was in a really great location, just 10 mins drive from a number of toddler-friendly locations so we were able to keep her amused (and exhausted!) for the whole trip. She literally slept like a baby :) Communication was great, even when we asked if there was a chance to extend our stay. We'll hopefully be back soon :)

What a fantastic little hidden gem! Hen Barn is super quirky and so so spacious ! You need not worry if you’ve accidentally left something at home either, as Wendy has thought of everything a guest might need and provided it! There are so many lovely little touches around the place. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

The barn is ideally situated near to the coast enabling trips to Wells and Blakeney for crabbing, Felbrigg house and gardens and the Wells and Walsingham light railway. We also did a bit of sea fishing off Weybourne beach and Cromer Pier (unfortunately without success). Rocky Bottoms seafood restaurant is thoroughly recommended. The kitchen facilities enabled us to have evening meals including local venison steaks and Walsingham Farm pies and mash that went down a treat although we did at times struggle with the electric hob being used to gas at home! We stayed with our daughter, son in law, two grandchildren and Lola their dog. There was ample space both inside and in the garden and we must thank the gardener for the dahlias which were still in bloom. Lola enjoyed her early morning walks (on a lead) along the lanes and footpaths and surprising the many pheasants in the fields. We did have a couple of rainy afternoons in and Hen Barn had the space and facilities that the boys could watch dvds and play games. In all, a lovely week's break in a beautiful corner of the country. But don't forget to take some night lights as there is no light pollution and it does get very dark outside at night. The cottage and location is thoroughly recommended and we look forward to returning next year - Corvid 19 permitting.

We had a perfect stay! Location is nice and quiet, but really easy to drive to Sheringham and Cromer. The house had everything that we needed, good kitchen facilities, loads of space and areas to sit, two bathrooms. It was always comfortably heated. We had a nice meal in The Roman Camp Inn a few minutes drive away.

We had a lovely week at Hen barn, quirky and stylish accommodation. Very clean, cosy and warm. Very peaceful and private down a little lane. We loved the large safe garden, ideal with a toddler. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely welcome basket & fresh flowers on arrival was a nice touch and the offer of an early check in . Many thanks. If your over that way great crab sandwich’s from the ‘crab hut’, harbour way, Brancaster Staithe. Highly recommend!

Our group of five had such a wonderful 4-night stay at Hen Barn. We'd booked it for the space and stylish look but planned to use it as a base, and spend lots of time exploring the area. It turns out Hen Barn is much more than just a base. We loved the place so much, we spent just as much time chilling out, cooking, eating, sunbathing and film watching as we did exploring the local towns, beaches and pubs! The house itself was spotless when we arrived and really did feel like home from home thanks to the little touches from Wendy. From a text to say we could check in early, to the fresh fruit, flowers and basket filled with wine, coffee, tea, biscuits as well as other essentials, and even recommendations from Wendy on good places to eat! We had everything we needed. One of our party cooked us a 7-course mean one night, and found the kitchen really well-equipped with everything needed, which in my experience can be a rarity in a holiday property! We found the beds comfy, the big sofas and tv greats for the evenings, plenty of garden space/seating to relax in the sunshine and nice, roomy, clean bathrooms. Would recommend trips out to the lovely Holt (full of nice independent places to eat, drink and shop - particularly if you like antiques!), Cromer, Sheringham and our favourite - Overstrand beach. The nearby The Pigs at Edgefield is also well worth a visit too! There were plenty more places we wanted to explore, but not enough time - we will be back!

Hen Barn is a great base from which to explore North Norfolk - less than ten minutes to Sheringham, Cromer and various National Trust parks. Would highly recommend Rocky Bottoms for fresh local seafood - a highlight of our trip! Superb for small children as the accommodation itself is spacious and there is plenty of room outside to run around and play safely. The house had everything we needed - only thing that could have made our time better was a BBQ! We had a bit of a hard time finding the barn initially and would advise plugging the co-ordinates into Google maps rather than using the post code.

We had a really nice stay at Hen Barn. It’s a lovely space to be in with lots of interesting art to look at! The garden is perfect especially if you have children, lots of space to run around. Overstrand beach just down the road. Perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Will definitely be coming back!

Excellent tranquil place. The place was just as described. The hosts were fantastic and even supplied us with some wine, bread cheese and more which was so thoughtful. The place is off the country road so it enabled my young kids to roam round the garden and all round the property safely on their own. We were able to input our chromecast to the TV so that was good. Kitchen was easy to use loads of utensils etc. We used the place as a base to visit lots of places like Cromer beach, bird sanctuary in Cley, Wroxham for the broads and Bewilderwood. Altogether an awesome holiday. I highly recommend the hosts they made us feel very welcome and were great at communicating over email and text. Would definitely stay here again
