We had driven all the way there, and they text us asking our arrival time, While unaware that they were going to refuse our entry. We arrived to find no key box outside like stated, so we called up. They proceeded to say that they now cannot host us tonight (despite contacting us an hour before asking when we are arriving) and offering barely any suitable solution, so we were forced to travel back home.

The apartment was lovely with high ceilings, bathroom and kitchen new and working very well. But little things made a big impact and could easily be changed. There was no information book to be found. The bin had no bag in it, which I know sounds alittle petty of me but it indicates a lack of care. One loo roll for three days and four people. Windows were really really dirty… not a little but hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Too much stuff, mismatched glasses which indicates someone’s home the whole point of Airbnb but then managed by a big company and so no warmth. A miss match experience and was expensive. The bed needs attention. And probably better curtains if you want the living room to be as second place to sleep.

Beautiful apartment with a sea view and a lovely living room. The only downside is the bed it’s too small and uncomfortable, and the mattress doesn’t provide enough support for the back. I would highly recommend replacing it with a larger and more comfortable one. Apart from that, the location is excellent!

The property is as grand as shown in the photos, with a fantastic location and plenty of natural light, making for a generally pleasant stay. However, there were some disappointments. The flat felt noticeably worn, with stains on the sofas, damp on the walls, a smelly fridge, and dusty furniture. Additionally, despite repeatedly asking about parking in the five days leading up to our stay, the host only confirmed that there was none at the last minute. This meant I had to pay £65 to park 15 minutes away, which was inconvenient, especially with luggage. While we enjoyed aspects of our stay, these issues did impact our experience.

The apartment itself is very nice. Great kitchen/dining room/lounge area. With lovely high ceilings and well kitted out for a airbnb place. Needs a proper tv - but that’s easy to fix. Bedroom very nice too. Bed mattress okay, will need replacing soon. The bathroom was good though the fan made a bit of noise. The only real complaint is the outside of the building and the hallway is a bit of a dump and needs smartening up pronto. Otherwise, great location and a pleasant stay

This place is fine for a night but it needs maintenance (broken toilet, door latch doesn’t lock, damp and mould, chairs are so worn you can feel the springs, limescale kettle). It wasn’t clean on arrival, dusty and hairs and urine stains visible in the bathroom. I had two bookings for this place but cancelled the second one as it’s not workable for a longer stay. The upside is the location and lots of light from the big windows. Airhost were very responsive but I suspect they know the issues.

This was our third visit and we really enjoyed the flat. It's spacious, elegant and comfortable and in a great location for both vibrant Brighton and quieter Hove. However, I've marked it down a bit this time as the owner really needs to sort clothes storage in the bedroom - there is only a hanging rail to unpack onto and when we arrived this was unusable as it was full of the duvet and bedding for the sofa bed, so we were left feeling a bit like we were camping and storing clothes in our bags! Please can we at least have a small chest of drawers. Airhost were excellent as hosts, we had to raise an issue with them and they were on it within the hour and sorted that afternoon.

Such an open and well presented apartment. High ceilings, some great period detailing and great style. It was so easy to get in after a long drive and chill. Location was amazing, you can see the sea from the balcony and there were some great local shops and cafes. It was also extremely peaceful which is always a bonus! Definitely worth a stay.

We loved our stay here at this lovely property. Everything was within walking distance. The apartment was spotless, easy to find and gain access. It was great that you can store luggage even after checkout at a local amenity, meaning we could spend our last day finishing our sightseeing, enjoying lunch and a drink without carting our luggage around. Communication was pro-active and easy to understand. All in all a great experience. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Donna

We had a lovely weekend in the flat. There is plenty of space, with everything you need and it’s a fantastic location for walking everywhere - close to the beach, town, and so many cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. It’s beautifully decorated and yet you feel very at home and as it’s on the first floor it’s pretty quiet and peaceful considering how close you are to town.

Great stay. Place just like the photos. Had basic supplies such as shampoo, tea, coffee….etc. The only cons was seagull noise for person sleeping on sofa bed at front of the flat. I also wished the bed was higher and easier to get out of. Overall great place. Stayed twice already and will do again.

Comfortable clean and right near some great places to eat. Not far from the sea front. Mixing older grandeur with modern day kitchen amenities. The only thing I would say is to bring an extra blanket as it can get a little cold in winter.

The apartment is perfectly located to various language schools in Hove, the sea can be seen from the balcony and Brighton can be walked in 25 minutes - or you can take the bus around the corner. (The 6er goes to the train station) The bedroom to the back is great quiet and the apartment very large. What to keep in mind if there is an allergy: The bathroom has no window and in the living room is a wall by the window a little damp.. I liked the apartment very much, in the kitchen there is everything important. I can definitely recommend the apartment. Supermarkets, cafes, a park and restaurants are all within easy walking distance.

This apartment really lives up to the description and photos It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay in a beautiful location. There are a vast amount of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and general suppliers within only a few minutes walk. Some great pubs with live music are also only a short walk away as is the main beachfront parade and all the hidden delights that Brighton has to offer. There are also a great deal of taxis available to ferry you up to places such as the Laines where you can get totally lost on the bustling vibe of this Bohemian Jewel of a city or visit the regal splendour of the Royal Pavilion There is just not enough hours in a day to see everything but just a taste will leave you excited to plan your next visit to the glamorous Regency City by the Sea !!

A beautiful apartment exactly as described, and we would return , however to get the key there was no light and downstairs which made it very tricky. A PIR light would resolve this. There was no heating when we arrived and it was below freezing outside, plus no duvet for sofa bed so I had to sleep in my coat first night. Shower was also blocked. All issues were resolved but not till day day 2 - felt co. just wasn’t prepared for our stay despite very positive messages from them. If these issues are resolved next time we would stay again but it was disappointing to arrive this way as it was only a long weekend so spent first day messaging co to get issues sorted so couldn’t relax.

About a 20 minute walk to train station all in all excellent stay One recommendation would be to put a couple of hooks on the bathroom door for towels and a mat inside the entrance so carpet stays clean

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and had such a great time. We arrived late, but check in was flexible and easy. the flat is beautiful. its clean, bright and spacious. well equipt kitchen which we needed as did do some cooking while there. The bed was comfortable with lovely bedding. location is great, nicely between Brighton And Hove and so close to the seafront. lots of great bars and cafes. we will defnately stay here again.

We had a lovely time, the location is perfect for a short stay in Brighton. Lots to do in walking distance and a very pretty flat and surrounding area. Unfortunately the flat wasn’t the cleanest in parts, mostly the bathroom and kitchen areas. There were hairs, dust and quite a bit of lime scale in the bathroom and in the kitchen the glasses and cutlery hadn’t been cleaned very well and the dishwasher and fridge smelt quite bad. Which was a real shame as cleaning was the reason given to me for the quite a late checkin time of 4pm. The bed was quite uncomfortable, it felt like quite an old thin mattress however the bed linens where very high quality.

Beautiful location, restaurants and bars walking distance. Apartment was clean but the soft furnishings can do with an update, the bathroom door creaked like mad so woke everyone up if you were to use the toilet in the night. (Also a lock on the bathroom door would be nice). I would also suggest a step ladder to get to the top of the kitchen cupboards as we couldn’t reach the glasses and bowls (very high ceilings so the cupboards were very tall). But apart from those bits it was a lovely stay in a fab location.

An iconic Brighton treat, this stay was truly enjoyable and we did not want to leave. The interior was inviting and like something out of a magazine. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The host provided helpful and clear information/instructions prior to check-in and check-out. One small recommendation would be to update the mattress. Overall a great stay!

A beautiful, spacious flat in a beautiful historical building with everything we needed for our extended nine-day-stay. The most important aspects of our stay there as communicated repeatedly by the agency: - We did not smoke. - We respected the quiet hours between 9pm and 8am, by keeping noise levels to a minimum. - We kept the maximum number of guests . - We checked in between 4pm-8pm, and checked out by 11am. - We treated the property and its amenities with care and respect and reported any damages incurred during our stay. - We respected the neighbours. - We carefully read the comprehensive list of house rules provided on the listing (and never entered the flat with shoes on).

We had a great stay at Brunswick place - the apartment was spacious enough for a week long stay - charmingly decorated in a rustic chic style. We loved having our meals at the spacious dining table. The chandeliers, the moldings on the ceiling, the marble fireplace helped us imagine how the tenants in the last century had occupied the spaces. Now upgraded with attached bath with all the modern comforts. Bedroom was comfy and very quiet. My special place though was the balcony, where I was able to watch the passersby, from kids going to school to the parking inspectors, delivery people and best of all the people coming back after a dip (brr) in the sea. It’s so close.. Would definitely return.

A period apartment with character in an iconic location. Perfectly positioned for Brighton (to your left), Hove (to your right) and the seafront (straight ahead). All within a few minutes’ walk. Relax on the balcony sipping your favourite tipple with the view of Brunswick Square in relief against the sea backdrop. Bliss. Airhost were incredibly responsive and friendly, retuning messages and queries within minutes.

Loved the location; can walk into Brighton and Hove, as well as the seafront. The flat is clean and lovely, with big windows, lots of space, and well-equipped kitchen. Only complaint is that the bed is uncomfortable. We overcame this by adding a topper to the mattress for the duration of our stay. Parking was not easy as the street is mostly resident parking, but we overcame this by parking out of town most of the time. Overall, a good place to stay.

I enjoyed another lovely sunny weekend in Hove staying in this gorgeous apartment and was even able to have cocktails on the balcony! This flat feels so homely and has everything needed for a weekend away. I previously stayed at this flat with my boyfriend but this time came with friends and made use of the sofabed. We went to Oeuf in Hove for breakfast which was delicious, and went to an Italian called Cibo and The Ivy Asia for two lovely dinners. Day times were spent walking along the beach and shopping in the Lanes! This is a perfect place to stay when enjoying a weekend in Brighton and Hove! x x x

We had a lovely 2 night stay in Brighton for my partners birthday. The apartment is beautiful and very spacious with high ceilings and plenty of seating. We had some friends over one evening for dinner and it was lovely to be able to host away from home! The kitchen was well equipped and even had a cocktail shaker which was fun! Everything was really clean and tidy and there was plenty of extra towels and bed linen if we’d wanted it. The location is great, around 15/20mins walk into the centre of Brighton and the surrounding roads have loads of lovely cafes, independent shops and restaurants on them. We stay in Brighton regularly but have never returned to the same place twice, however this apartment has definitely changed that for us and we will definitely try to book it again for our next visit!

I’m looking back at two wonderful weeks I spent in this beautiful apartment within walking distance from the beach. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt completely safe. The bus stop is just around the corner and plenty of cafes and stores are within walking distance. The place itself is beautiful with high ceilings and tall windows. You will find all the amenities you will need even a dishwasher and ironing board. The bed is very comfy and there is a good amount of storage space. Communication with the host was always positive and they respond very quickly. I would definitely come back to this apartment and spend another relaxing week here in beautiful Brighton.

The apartment was lovely, very clean, comfortable bed. Parking not too bad considering it’s a pretty busy /residential area we always found some on street parking within 10 minutes walk which was free overnight. My only ‘complaint’ would be this lovely flat is let down by the communal areas: weeds on the steps up to a very battered communal front door and a massive damp patch left to peel on the first floor landing right outside the flat entrance door. Shame. However push past that and the flat is a lovely space in a great area.

Great communication with the air host team. A few nice places to eat, have coffee, and a few supermarkets within 15 mins walk. Sea View from the flat iconic property balcony terrace and access to the sea promenade within 15 mins walk from the flat. Car parking is limited to residents only, so travelling by car and unpacking the car was a little challenging, but we managed to find a solution and double-parked, one of us stayed at the car. We stayed over 7 days and had a few things to bring, :) Overall a great stay if you like to feel local. Friendly neighbours that helped us with the language and bits. The accommodation rate provided was great, and they have considered the car parking charges to pay, so I think the daily rates for this accommodation were very competitive we will be back for a 2nd stay in the coming months. Great stay!

Walking up to the flat we immediately felt that we had made a mistake. The street and flats even around it were grimy and run down. The front door itself is cracking and peeling. The communal area is dirty with serval noticeable stains on the walls. The flat itself has great ‘bones’ but there were so many dust bunnies that we wished we’d brought carrots. The flat is not ‘comfortable’ in terms of being a place you’d want to spend time in. Our five-year old asked if we could go home within the first 5 minutes and didn’t want to sit on anything. Luckily the weather was brilliant so we didn’t have to spend much time there. The sofas are far from comfortable and the sofa covers are stained and dirty. The marijuana smoke from the neighbour next door consistently wafts into the flat if the windows are open. Additionally the balcony of the neighbour is so littered with bird feces that I thought the listeria might jump the balcony. It’s impossible to sit outside and enjoy the great view while looking over the disastrous state of the balcony in your sight line. All that said, the kitchen and dishwasher works well. There are plenty of sheets and linen provided. It is fantastically close to lots of great restaurants, bars, and Brunswick Square. All that said we would not return.

A fabulous location. Parking isn't easy if you need to be very near, but there are meters on the streets locally, as long as you are happy to move it occasionally. Very comfortable and clean.

Wonderful super clean apartment with really pretty design - really nice windows and view, all the amenities you need for a few days in Brighton. Location is not super close to city centre but it’s only 20 min walk or short scenic bike ride to the centre. Easy access to Hove area and close to the coloured beach huts. Really communicative hosts. The only really small niggling comment I have and it’s just me being picky, is that considering it’s not a cheap Airbnb, it would be great if the cleaning included taking out the trash (just never been asked to take my own trash out at an Airbnb before!)

The location of the property was good and we got responses very quickly when we had questions. The heating system in the living room and the bedroom is too weak for such a big one-bed flat. It was even worse when the wind came through the gaps of the windows during the night. The temperature of water in the shower was hard to control, either too hot or too cold. Overall, the price of this property is a bit over priced.

Very disappointed with overall stay. Parking is untenable as only Permit and only 4 Hours in pay to park bays. 24 hr Parking is a 15 min walk and very expensive and so add that cost to your stay The sofas were old and uncomfortable and bed very low to floor . I felt the pictures make it look a lot more glamorous than it actually was maybe more a summer stay than winter

It’s very beautiful especially when the sun is beaming through the enormous windows. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to spend most of our time in hove but it’s just a £6 taxi to the station or in to Brighton. Lots of shops nearby so easy to get supplies. The hosts were available and communicative.

We must have been unlucky because the apartment was grimy and there was a lot of mould around the windows and on the blinds. The apartment needed quite a lot of attention. We were offered by the hosts to have a cleaner attend the property but the issues were bigger than just a generic clean. We had to involve Air Bnb as the hosts were unable to resolve our issues. We wouldn’t stay here again.

great place to stay, just far anough from the crowds to be peaceful, but close enough to easily walk into the lanes and main parts of town. very short stroll down to the front. Flat is light an airy. Loved the balcony to sit out, see the sea and watch the world go by. High cealings. Modern stylish features. Great base. Host quick and responsive.

Very lovely apartment in the perfect location. We wanted to stay longer! Jessica from Airhost was very helpful and quick to respond. A male airhost representative on the phone was rude and hung up when I rang as I couldn’t find the lockbox.

Perfect location! The apartment is located in walking distance to both Brighton and Hove. The hosts were super helpful with any inquiries we had and the apartment itself was spacious and clean.

Great location and very good communication! Found the furniture a little uncomfortable which was a shame as it was such a beautiful building! Parking wasn’t easy especially if you have a lot of luggage but we were able to figure it out.

Comfortable, one bedroom flat, in a fantastic location! Great light, with beautiful large windows (made working from home much more enjoyable). Great for a short stays, but needs some improvement to accommodate guests that want to stay for longer periods e.g. there's no draw space for clothing. I had an issue at the start of my stay, but the host excelled my expectations in going above and beyond to try and resolve my issue and accommodate my needs.

We stayed in this lovely flat for 5 weeks while our house was being renovated. It’s a luxurious and spacious apartment with everything you could need, in a wonderful location. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it

This is an elegant apartment with high ceilings and a great location just a few minutes’ walk to the sea and shops and cafes of Hove. 30 minutes walk to Brighton Pier. Given the high ceilings and floor-ceilings windows it took a while to heat up, but was cozy once warm.
