The space
The Duck Pond has been recently refurbished to the highest standard. With premium furnishings and beautiful finishes, you can expect a homely stay in a well maintained property.Head to the open plan living and kitchen area, and you’ll find a comfortable space with two comfy sofas. Turn on the flat screen TV to keep up with your favourite shows or spend quality time with your loved ones.
Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare home cooked.
The Duck Pond boasts three spacious bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with double beds. The third bedroom is located on the first floor and also features a double bed, along with exposed wooden beams which add a real traditional, cosy feel to the space.
There is a shower room on the ground floor and the upstairs bedroom is home to an ensuite boasting a shower, wash basin and WC.
Outside you’ll find a pleasant and secluded garden to the rear of the property. With barbeque facilities and a seating area, this is great for enjoying the fresh air during your stay.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle at the front of the property.

The Duck Pond was perfect for our stay - the place itself is very spacious and has absolutely everything we needed. The beds were all very comfy and we all slept well. It's not far into Durham centre, and there are nearby shops for any self-catering. We enjoyed the feel of the place and it was like briefly staying in a lovely new home we had designed ourselves. Thank you so much for having us and when back in the area I'd certainly want to book again.

The property is beautifully furnished, very clean & spacious. We also met Mark (the owner) who was very friendly & helpful. There is a Sainsburys Local very close to the property which is handy, a 15 minute walk into town and off-road routes around if you fancy a less busy walk. All in all, we were very happy at The Duck Pond.

The place was phenomenal. I stayed in Durham with my family for my graduation and I am so glad that I made this choice. This home was close to city centre. The Host -Mark was very kind and responsive. He helped us a lot. We all had a great time, especially my grandfather enjoyed and it was very comfortable, spotless and just like a home away from home. The house was equipped with all essentials and kitchen was filled with all the things that a family would need. They even had the some sauces, oil, salt, pepper etc. Definitely would recommend to others!! Please do bring your family here and I hope you have the same experience as we did.
