The space
Mill has a welcoming and homely living area. With large frosted windows either side of the entrance door, light floods into the ground floor space to create a bright and airy feel.The spacious living area includes two leather sofas and a flat screen TV so it’s perfect for relaxing.
Fully equipped with modern appliances, the kitchen has everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay. The dining area includes a large wooden table with four comfy chairs.
Both bedrooms in the cottage can be found on the first floor plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a great night’s sleep. The master bedroom features a double bed and the second his home to two single beds.
The bathroom has a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and wash basin.
Outside you’ll find a communal grassed area and a courtyard with outdoor furniture, opposite the carpark. A real bonus, the outdoor space at Winnows Hill Farm is fantastic if you want to relax outside during your visit.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.
Please note that dogs are not permitted to use the shared on-site courtyard. The property has rear doors that can be used to bring dogs in and out from the cars without crossing the shared courtyard.
Group bookings are not permitted at Winnows Hill Farm.
Please note that the farm is not accessible for guests so please use other areas for walking.

We had a lovely few days at Mill. The cottage was clean and had all the essentials. Although I couldnt find the instructions for the dryer so made use of the clothes horse. Peaceful surroundings and lovely walks. Great days out at Beamish, Gibside and Wallington (all less than 45 minutes away). If we had better weather we would have ventured out to the coast. The kids loved it here and are already asking to come again!

We stayed at the Mill for 3 nights while visiting family locally. It was perfect for us and the workers we met on the farm were really friendly. My 2 lads love fishing and spent a day at the reservoir, and there are plenty of places to walk and take dogs, all of which a short drive away. There was plenty of parking and everything in the property was user friendly. The interior was warm and cosy and catered to all our needs.

For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
