Located in the peaceful countryside village of Ruffside in County Durham, Derwent is a beautifully decorated holiday home with plenty of style. Sleeping up to six guests, this charming cottage boasts three cosy bedrooms (one with an ensuite), a modern family bathroom, an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, and private on-site parking. Perfect for family holidays or getaways with friends, Derwent will tick all of the right boxes.
Both practical and stylish, the kitchen has traditional cream cabinets and modern appliances. You can make use of the oven, hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, toaster and kettle during your stay.
Enjoy your homemade meals at the dining area which includes a solid wood table and matching chairs.
There is a spacious king size bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. Ultra relaxing, the bedroom features a comfy bed with premium linens and a spacious wardrobe. The ensuite is modern and clean with a bathtub and overhead shower, WC and wash basin.
Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two further bedrooms and the family bathroom. Both bedrooms boast sloped ceilings with exposed beams which create a tranquil feel. Perfect for younger ones or teens, both first floor bedrooms feature twin single beds.
Head to the family bathroom and you’ll find a sleek, clean suite. The space is complete with shower, a basin and WC.
Outside you’ll find a communal grassed area and a courtyard with outdoor furniture, opposite the carpark. A real bonus, the outdoor space at Winnows Hill Farm is fantastic if you want to relax outside during your visit.
Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.
Group bookings are not permitted at Winnows Hill Farm.
Please note that the farm is not accessible for guests so please use other areas for walking.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.

We had a lovely stay here, bit wasted on just the 2 of us. So much space and in a lovely setting by the reservoir. Communication from the host was superb and everything was seamless. We would definitely come back and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet rural stay or if you're heading to a wedding at nearby Healy Barn.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings.
