Poor parking instructions. The original booking just said free parking. Got to the property, signs everywhere saying you need permit to park. Phoned host and stay. Their customer service was poor. They said there was a permit in the flat to put in vehicle. There wasn't one there. They also said there was only a permit for one vehicle, but wasn't told this on the original booking. They told me to pay for a car park and they would refund. But the car park was a fair walk away! Not something you want to be doing before work on a morning. The flat itself was fine, apart from mouldy smell in bathroom. Not sure I would use Host and Stay again.

Apartment is in great location, everything is nearby and walkable. Host is also pretty responsive and friendly. But primary concern was on premise parking, which was not available like mentioned in the description, so we had to find our own parking. I would not have booked it in the first place if there was no parking available as it is a waste of time if you are travelling with a toddler. I would not recommend for a family with kids to stay here as there is no parking available in the apartment. Also parking refund was promised which has not been processed yet and there is no proactiveness in doing so from their side, as I have to approach them again and again. Last thing is about cleanliness which is ok but not very clean as I can see my toddler's feet getting black just by running around the apartment. Hope this feedback helps in improving the concerns I have, since the apartment is in a great location I would like this to be addressed for next guests coming here.

The hardware is almost impeccable, the location is moderate, close to the train station, there is a supermarket opposite the residence, and the room is clean and well-organized. It's a pity that the software failed to catch up. There was no hot water supply from the morning of the third day of stay. I immediately contacted the host and he said that the hot water would need to be warmed up for a while before it could be provided. When I wanted to take a shower at night, I found that there was still no hot water. I contacted the host at this time, but there was no reply. I had no choice but to contact the bnb staff. Thanks to the intervention of bnb, the host responded later and said that an engineer would come to repair it tomorrow. But when I came back that night, I found that there was still no hot water. So I had to find the bnb staff again. He suggested that I check out immediately and make some compensation to me.

Location isn't horrible but the flat itself lacked any amount of homeliness. There was minimal supplies. Had to clean the entire place before check in and we ended up having to put up with fleas and check out early. Hosts are slow to respond and don't seem to inspect their properties often so things get left unmanaged. Didn't offer new bedding solutions, didn't respond to most questions asked after check in and took 2 days for a response. Tv remote was dead. Lack of blankets, students live in the surrounding apartments so expect late night noise and partying, ect. Only thing this place had to offer was the size and convince in location to the city.

I enjoyed a lot my time in Canterbury. The city is lovely, and this apartment is big and confortable. Everything worked properly: heat, hot water, washing machine…. Great location! I loved the way to the city centre going through the Westgate Gardens by the river. Thank you !

Spacious, comfortable apartment with great access for using a wheelchair / pushchair, free parking on site, supermarket (Aldi) on your doorstep and city centre only a 5-10 minute walk away. Good communication from the host too. A few niggles - only one teaspoon, one kitchen towel, nowhere to dry your bathroom towels and a stained/cracked bath and the balcony was dirty. There also wasn't a hairdryer when we arrived but the host dropped one off for us. Hence why not 5 stars from us. But overall we enjoyed it. Canterbury is a lovely city too.

The cleanliness of this apartment was a huge let down to be honest. Which was a disappointment. The apartment itself is a really nice and convenient place to stay. Aldi is a stones throw away and the Park and River is on the doorstep. However, the pictures in the advertisement are not that of what the apartment actually looks like now. The ad pictures need updating if you want to really know what condition this flat is in currently. It is in need of a bit of modernisation, a good deep clean and some decorating. The balcony doors/frames/windows - Absolutely filthy! Finger prints, food smeared on the windows and the wooden frames, hand prints, and on the outside was just dirt and grime from everyday weathered ailments and birds. A lot of spider webs, with quite a few large spiders running around. Not great if you have a fear of spiders/creepy crawlies. Opening the door onto the balcony was a shock! The balcony rails were very dirty, covered in damp algae type mould and grime. Unsightly cigarette butts in one corner. The balcony floor was covered in bird droppings, green algae moss and had a very pungent smell of urine! There were 2 resident pigeons living in the top of the balcony railings. I assume the smell was a combination of pigeons, their droppings and a men's urinals. When having the door open, the smell of urine wafted into the flat. It made having the door/s open very unpleasant. Especially as it was very warm and the flat was uncomfortably warm with the doors closed. There is only one other window in the flat, which is in the bedroom. This makes the balcony, the main source of ventilation/fresh air. The living area is a big and open space with a very big and comfortable sofa bed, which opens up into a king size bed. The sofa had a couple of white stains on the seating area which the cleaner did remove when she come back to carry out the corrections. The cushions were rather worn and did smell of other people. The white and grey fluffy throw on the sofa smelt very loved. The dining table was clean and perfect for a family to sit and eat together. Carpet and rugs were clean and fluffy. In the kitchen everything looked clean on the surface but when looking through the draws and cupboards, I was disappointed to see that the cutlery and the utensils were all really very dirty. The inside of the cupboards were dirty and everything looked like it had been unkempt for quite sometime. There was one cracked glass amongst the cutlery which stood right at the front of the cupboard and clearly showed the crack? Another sign that the contents of the cupboards had not been checked. The other glasses and cups were very dirty. This left me feeling very uncomfortable. And immediately I wanted to clean and wash everything before using for myself and my children. Which in turn, meant on arrival I spent a good chunk of my time cleaning and washing cutlery and utensils before wanting to use them. It was at this point that I contacted the host. I took pictures of everything that was dirty and all signs of marks, just to ensure that I would not be held responsible for any of these signs of damage and also because I felt that arriving at the apartment in this state left me wondering if the host was actually aware of how the cleaning company standards were not up to scratch. I did also clean the balcony floor myself and clean the balcony doors, frames and windows because a) my kids were walking on bird droppings and bringing it all in to the flat and b) because I couldn't see out of the windows, which made me feel very depressed. The bathroom was an absolute let down I'm afraid. The bath tub was covered in unsightly brown marks, mould and there was a long crack on the side panel, which pinched my knee as I leant in to turn the bath taps on. The marks were explained in the greeting message on the day of arrival. The host explained that they'll be renewing the bath in due course. However, this all being explained once we'd already arrived was not, in my opinion, very helpful because I'd already paid for the stay! And wasn’t aware of the condition of the bathtub. The bathroom smelt strongly of damp and mould and there were holes in the walls where things had either been removed or broken? Unfortunately, this was a huge let down for me as personal hygiene is top of my priority list and having a clean and well-equipped bathroom is hugely important for myself and my children. There was absolutely no where to hang any towels or coats? When booking this apartment, it was hard to differentiate between the reviews for which review was for which property. Most of the reviews were complementary and satisfactory hence my booking this apartment in Canterbury. When revisiting the site on my return home, I notice that if you click on the property you are Interested in, then you can see all reviews for that property alone. After sending photos of all these issues to the host. She apologised and promptly got the cleaning company to return and make the corrections. However, the cleaner explained that they don't clean the outside, i.e the balcony area. Also, that they don't clean the windows? Once the cleaner had left, we returned back to the flat and I was a disappointed to see that the windows were still mucky and the frames still had smeared food marks on. The cleaner had removed the suspect white stains on the sofa. However, she had simply put back all the washing up that I had already done myself and didn't actually clean the rest of the cutlery or the cupboards. The Bedroom was a

Great communication and easy to follow instructions, lots of kitchen utensils and wonderful Tv. However felt a little mislead by the late notice of the red stained bath (even if it is bleach is still very offputting), this in addition to a few stains on the floor and bird poo on the balcony let the place down a little. There were a few things that if added would make a huge difference to comfort like hooks in the bathroom, bins in the bedroom and a regular hairdryer. Overall a decent place to stay that with a few tweaks could be a real star.

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the high street. Unfortunately some of the cutlery and cooking equipment was dirty, so I had to clean it before use. A strong smell of stale smoke in the apartment that we noticed as we arrived. The balcony had a lot of bird's mess on the floor and unfortunately when leaving the doors/windows open there was a regular and strong smell of cannabis. The communication with the Blue fox team was faultless and the check in process was very clear and straight forward.

Ideal location to explore this historical and beautiful city. Everything is within walking distance. Local supermarket nearby to stock up on essentials if self catering but also nearby restaurants and pubs for drinking and dining out. The apartment itself is well equipped for a very comfortable stay and communication with the host is smooth and easy. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.

Good location to walk into centre, good check in and parking. Had issues with cleanliness and damp smell, stained bath, mouldy shower curtain, non-blackout curtains, no mattress or pillow protectors, no fire extinguisher or fire blanket, unkempt balcony and warnings of drug users in hallways. Fabulous TV, good kitchen facilities, warm. With some TLC it would have been better

This is a really nice place to stay in Canterbury. My partner and I stayed for 2 months. Very clean, quiet, lovely nature walks close by, a short walk to the City centre, a very large bedroom and comfortable living room. We really enjoyed our stay! Kitchen is basic but does the job. Would definitely stay here again.

The flat is spacious and well equipped. Both the bed and sofa bed are comfortable. The location of the flat is very convenient as the city centre is only a short walk away. It is also a very convenient location if you are keen to explore the coast from Whitstable to Dover. We had a great stay and recommend this flat.

Barbara's place was very spacious, tidy and clean. It had all the usual appliances and kitchen items you would expect to find. The self check-in instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The location of the apartment is a short walk away from the main town centre but this is clearly stated in the listing and expected. No complaints, highly recommend!
