A great venue for a friends and family gathering. 18 adults and 2 children and 2 dogs. Enough rooms and facilities for all and everyone loved the communal area for gathering together as a large group. The bar and hot tub were particular favourites of the group. Chris, the owner, was there to greet us and was very welcoming and gave us great and comprehensive instructions to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Ideal location for exploring the local area .. Saltburn, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby all within easy reach by car. If you need any local groceries Aldi and Asda are a 10 minute drive away. We didn’t venture out much on foot due to the weather but noted several walks on the AllTrails app which we will try in more clement weather !

We had a lovely weekend here with our family. The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The living space was great, really comfortable and perfect for relaxing together. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. A couple of small suggestions, some newer knives and pots and pans would be great, and waterproof mattress protectors would help keep everything fresh. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

We had a great stay with 18 adults for our friends sten do. The hosts were very welcoming and came round to explain everything at check in then left us to it. It’s a great space for group stays with the pub area and large hot tub and ideal that every room has its own en-suite. The house is right on the golf course and walking distance to brotton which has a shop and pub. Ubers to saltburn were only a fiver and it’s a lovely town with lots of nice pubs and restaurants. The place could do with a deep clean and some amenities were a bit dated/not working but overall we were really happy with the place. Highly recommend the house for a group stay!

We loved the space and the location. Having a whole hotel and pub to ourselves was really fun, particularly for the children, who enjoyed running reception as we all arrived over the first evening. The hot tub was great and the garden area a good size and enclosed enough to keep our greyhound safe (although smaller dogs may be able to get out through the gaps in the gate). The outside rooms open out onto the garden so perfect for dogs. You can walk from the house to the beach or into the town fairly easily.

Our family of 24 (ages 4 to 78), thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Arches. It was ideal for children and adults alike, both in what the house had to offer and what various ages could do during the day. The hot tub was a firm favourite as was the pool/billiard table. The social spaces were large, light and airy with attractive lighting at night. The towels and bed linen were of a high standard and all bedrooms had secure locks on the doors. It was extremely quiet at night and peaceful during the day. All appliances worked as expected and were well used. The fridges and freezer were on when we arrived allowing us to keep our food/drink cold after a long journey. The house was also lovely and warm on arrival and it was easy to control the heating and lighting. In places, the house is ready for a refit. The faux leather on the dining room chairs was peeling off and the kitchen would benefit from far more serving dishes, but in all, this is a good choice for a large family.

Amazing weekend with family plenty to do bar area was great for all ages, bedrooms comfy and all en-suite with baths and shower. Kitchen could do with deep clean and modernising a little but everything was perfect otherwise

there were 24 of us including children and the number of bedrooms etc was brilliant and the size of the living spaces. Meant we could all be together, we had a great big family celebration. Difficult to get anywhere as well laid out for large groups.

We had a great stay at the house, it was great for our group of 15 adults and 9 children. Kitchen was well equipped and the main communal area for large and spacious and great for games

I booked this accommodation for 16 people over Christmas and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The rooms all had individual bathrooms as well as communal facilities near the main open areas which was ideal. The space was fantastic for group activities and dinner. The kitchen was well equipped to cook for a large party. The surrounding area is extremely beautiful and we are already thinking of booking another return trip in the future 🙂 Would recommend this to anyone looking for a family get together as the local area is also worth exploring.

If you are looking for a place for a large gathering then this is the place. There were 16 of us, 15 adults and it was ideal for what we wanted. Everyone hade their own bathroom. The communal space was spot on, we all got to spend time which was what we all wanted from the weekend. Chris came round and introduced himself and said he was available if we needed him but we didn’t everything was fairly easy to navigate. We will definitely stay again.

A great place for a large group of family or friends. Very well equipped with crockery and appliances. Bedrooms very nice and peaceful. The outside bedrooms are ideal if you are staying with a dog, they open up to the gated garden. We had a lovely weekend. Would definitely recommend. Chris was a great host, showing us all we needed to know to make the most of our stay.

An excellent place for our family reunion. It's not easy to find a place where you can get 18 (and probably more) people comfortably sat down to dinner all at once. The large well-equipped kitchen really helped too. The living room is probably even nicer than in the photos. Wonderful to have so much space and our own bar! The pool table could do with a bit of TLC, but it didn't stop us playing on it all weekend long. Lovely bedrooms, all en suite. Nice garden to sit out in, and we made good use of the covered outdoor hot-tub. Great 1 hour cliff-top walk to Saltburn. Everything we wanted.

Wow this was a fabulous choice for our family celebration. We had a diverse range of age groups from 18 months to 3, 90 year olds. Great choice of venue with spacious dining rooms, living area and bar with pool table. Outside was safe and secure for the dogs and children,with good seating areas. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to try the hot tub. A visit to Saltburn was only a short drive away, supermarkets, grocery shops, excellent fish and chip shop were in a car journey away. Walk to Skinningrove beach along a footpath that meets with the Cleveland way goes past the house from Brotton Golf Club. Will highly recommend x

Can’t recommend enough! Really enjoyed our stay, we were a large group celebrating a 70th birthday, we had a drive into Saltburn for the day, a takeaway delivered one evening, peaceful area and some of the group took a walk around to find the nearby beach too. We had a murder mystery evening there which was fab with the decor of the venue. Chris came to visit us on the first night, lovely guy.

Absolutely brilliant venue for a large group of your looking for good communal space. Hot tub and pool table was a bonus ! Bedrooms adequate and all have en-suite which is rare. Only let down was kitchen was dirty and could do with a deep clean .. there was no cleaning products at all so we had to go and buy some including washing up liquid. I had checked in advance and they said there would be some. When there wasn’t I messaged host and stay again and they said they would sort but didn’t so we had to go out and get some. But would definitely go again it didn’t put us off too much as the venue itself is excellent and we will be back ! Great value for money !

We had a group of us 20 of us last minute requiring a booking as the original air BNB cancelled last minute. I'm grateful we managed to get a spot! there were plenty of clean rooms with en suites. There was a spacious living room and large table to dine. hot tub was excellent. I would happily stay again. Jeanie was responsive when my friend locked herself out of her room and very helpful.

Had the best weekend for my 30th birthday. The stay was perfect and my friends and family all loved it too. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. I would definitely return for a weekend away, it has everything you need and more!

Phenomenal property with loads of space, a hot tub, an awesome bar, and everything else you could ask for to host a big gathering. The owner was great and super helpful with everything too. Beautiful area also with nice walks, nice local towns with lots of amenities, pubs, restaurants also. Only issue I would raise is the property is managed by a third party who were not particularly quick in responding to requests…But once we got to the house and met the owner everything was great! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway with a large group with loads of space.

We stayed here as a group of 7 families and would highly recommend it. It’s perfect for a group holiday. It’s so spacious and perfectly decorated. All the Christmas decorations made it so lovely for our Christmas holiday. We’d definitely come back.

Great venue and very welcoming owners. Room 1 is above the boiler and we had an issue with the smell (fumes?) which meant we had to vacate that room. Also checkout was stressful as cleaners and maintenance started working from 8.45 onwards whilst we were still packing up etc for the stated checkout of 10.00. But the house itself contains everything needed for a large group, with plenty of space and amenities and is in a lovely setting.
