Dealing with a third party rather than the host direct was frustrating, particularly over the parking permits, which we are still not sure were done. It took ages to work out how to use the TV as we couldn't find any instructions in the house or in the info we were sent. The property was perfectly situated for visiting Canterbury and everything was within walking distance which was great. For our long weekend visit it was ideal for us.

A very convenient spot and perfectly comfortable for a family of four. Location perfect, close to the town centre and also within walking distance of both Canterbury train stations and the bus station. Parking was arranged with a simple phone call, very helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Canterbury. The location is perfect and we felt it was described accurately. They organised parking for us on the street and the communication was good. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the garden. We did have a little issue with the water pressure in the upstairs shower but nothing too major. All in all a nice stay!

Nice stay at St. Peters . The house was super clean and cozy, water pressure in bathroom is very good so you take shower with great satisfaction, linen is clean, home appliances are working properly, so there is no lack of anything you need. Highly recommend this place for guests! Thank you for service! Kindest regards. Customer

This is a great place to stay for a quick dive into Canterbury. The house is about a 3 minute walk into town. The cathedral is about 7ish minute walk away. The proximity to town is great, but the street is noisy and parking is scarce. The beds were comfortable, sheets and bedding were clean, and the house is nicely/simply appointed. The kitchen has plenty of cooking implements to get a simple meal made, clean dishes to eat, and coffee/tea available. Bathrooms were clean, no mold as one review mentioned. We had two major drawbacks. For one, we arrived at 7pm and I enquired about the parking permit as all parking in town is permit only. We got two replies, but no parking permit. Luckily we caught the parking enforcer and he didn't ticket us. Second, it wasn't clear that the hot water shuts off at noon, so no hot water to bathe our kids before bed. After some reading, we tried to use the thermostat- dead batteries. Had to go buy some and wait 1.5 hour for the water to heat.

The location of this property is exceptional, only a minutes walk from the city centre. Beds were relatively comfortable and the host was very communicative with a handy guide to the area. The property itself we felt were a bit like 'uni digs' and not as nice as the photos made out. The sofas, you sink into the back of, there is mould in the corners of the bathrooms, the upstairs toilet moves to one side and the shower upstairs you have to lift and shower yourself as the thing that holds it doesn't grip enough to hold the shower head if the power shower is on full. Accessing the key lock box is more difficult than ones we've used before, feels like its seized up slightly. This trip was for a uni students reunion (20 years ago), so we've stayed in a lot worse, but for what we paid, it did feel like a blast from the past and not value for money (I guess the proximity upped the price). Also, 10am check out is so early these days, I'd recommend that be reviewed.

My family and I spent a weekend in this easily accessible accommodation, with a parking space in front of the property. The accommodation is within walking distance to all the sights of the city, which is a plus. However... we are very disappointed with the accommodation... Dust with cobwebs in the living room (being allergic, it's average...), a window that does not close at the master bedroom. Hot water not available upstairs throughout the weekend. Having reported the problem several times by message, I was offered no solution to help us except to read their book which does not announce how it works... Using 4 the only small bathroom available on the ground floor was really limited... Then we were woken up around 8am by a craftsman who was supposed to do work in the house... Personally, having paid the price, We are really disappointed....

I wouldn't recomment this place despite the close location to the city centre. It was dirty, there was dust everywhere. The host did offer to send a cleaning squad next day, but when we arrived in the evening on the first day, we had to clean it to stay for the night. Also, some kitchen utensils where sticky, the pots and pans are really so old, burnt from wear and tear. The microwave was oxidised, so we didn't dare to use it. You can tell the property lacks even the minimum maintenance. The windows in the upper floor are very old and difficult to open. The host did communicate with us through messaging, but the main fault was poor cleaning and poor maintenance. To top it all up, the next-door neighbours were very loud in the evenings and late night, shouting and partying till 2am some days. Parking around the house is tricky, so not recommened if coming by car. Overall, we had quite an unpleasant experience. Thanks to AirBnb, I got the cleaning fee reimbursed.

This property needs an awful lot done to bring it up to standard. The front door key does not always work. The curtains are dirty and torn. The fire extinguisher is out of date and the carbon monixide monitor isnt working. There is plaster falling off the wall, bad repairs completed and a hole in the floor near skirting. We were unable to cook, as there were no oven gloves or tea towels. The cutlery tray was rusty. The location is fabulous, and the bathrooms were clean, but nothing else in its favour.

This cute little cottage is absolutely perfectly located for the Westgate end of town. Check-in is seamless, and the cottage is modest and comfortable and suited our needs. Unfortunately we experienced some issues with hot water and the upstairs shower and, because of technical difficulties, communication with the rental company wasn't as good as it could have been, but overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again in the future.

Spent 2 nights here over New Year,we parked the car in the station car park (max charge £10 for 24 hours) and everything was accessible by walking. House is well equipped and clean, it’s in a great location however we did notice the creaky twin beds as previously mentioned in a review, host is very attentive and booking was made easy by quick responses.

The communication with the third party team is superb. However, the house was cold when we arrived with our 2-month old baby. We had forwarned the owner that there is a baby with us but the room temperature when we got there was 13C. The kitchen radiator was not working. The house took ages to warm up and the bedrooms were dusty although the linens were clean. There is no clothes dryer in the house at all. We were banking on it to wash some clothes.

Absolutely stunning property at an amazing location. My family has just moved over from Singapore and we had to stay at an Airbnb before we moved into our house. The tenant and company have amazing communication and made sure that we were comfortable and checked up on us to make sure everything was to our liking. For example, we needed an iron and we were okay with receiving it the next day but to our surprise they brought an iron within an hour or two. Could not recommend it more! We will definitely be recommending this place to friends/family visiting us.

Wonderfully convenient location, could walk into the town centre in minutes. Sunny garden, great for outdoor breakfast. Though a bit wild in the borders, had to stop myself pulling up the weeds. Sounded like the bees and birds liked it though so guess that’s a win. Very comfortable bed, crisp clean sheets, I slept like a dream.

Nice little house right in the centre of Canterbury. No parking but easy enough to sort separately. When we arrived the bins hadn't been emptied and the beds weren't made up. Not the end of the world but other places we've stayed this has been done. Overall though a great place as a base for exploring and wouldn't hesitant staying here again or recommending to anyone.

We loved staying at this property. It was in prime position for walking to nearly everything you’d want to see in the area. The street was quiet and felt safe. We had a lovely stay at Saint Peter’s. We had a slight issue on arrival and the hosts couldn’t do enough to help sort the situation. The location is fantastic and our kids wanted to stay another week. We’d never been to Canterbury before and this was the perfect base for exploring the city.

Unfortunately, a group of 5 of us stayed in this town house and were less than impressed. We had decided to bring an additional guest given the property is advertised as a 5 person stay . As we had increased a 5th person staying, the total price shot up by £100. This was seemingly rather steep however, I completely understood given the additional cleaning and washing for the sofa bed being used. The bedding which had been supplied for the sofa bed was not fit for purpose, there was only a dirty and stained quilt without bedding on. I contacted the host with pictures and asked for bedding to be provided to ensure our guest could sleep comfortably. As I didn’t receive a response for 48 hours I chased the host and was told that they were too busy to respond that weekend and the message had slipped through the net... Additionally, the twin beds aren’t fit for purpose and make a huge amount of noise despite minimal movement. Meaning two of our guests had extremely disturbed sleeps. The downstairs cloak room is also in dire need of a refurb especially the toilet itself. The seat is half the size of the toilet bowl and is barely fixed down. There was one positive to the stay being that Canterbury is a beautiful place and the location is ideal. I would only recommend this property if it is merely a bed to rest your head - once the twin beds are replaced that is.

Great location, nice place, and my daughter loved the Netflix TV. Overall a good stay. Some minor issues that might be worth highlighting: The front room (well, the half of the room in front of the stairs) doesn't have room for all three sofas, so it's unnecessarily hard to carry in luggage and take out rubbish - be prepared to lift everything to waist height or move heavy sofas. It's a terraced house with noisy neighbors. I'm sure they didn't appreciate our jet-lagged babies either. The single beds are cheap Ikea beds, very creaky. The boiler is inadequate to run a full bath - you have to be careful with hot water use. We had a problem with fat flies coming into the upstairs bathroom from a few days into our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at St Peter's Grove. It is a stone's throw away from High Street and almost all major attractions in Canterbury are in walking distance to the cottage. It is as described and all our queries and concerns were immediately addressed which was really appreciated. Although the street itself is not busy and only residents use it to park their cars, students can be heard at night passing by the cottage, especially on the weekends. One of the houses next door appears to be occupied by students and sometimes they play really loud music late into the night which was quite annoying. The downstairs toilet can really do with some heating! Other than that we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the cottage.

First off, the location could not be better. We were steps from the High Street but were not staying on it. Second, the place was warm and inviting. Third, it was spotlessly clean. Every possible thing we could need was there, and more! I can't think of a better holiday house to stay in. There were four of us, I slept on one of the twin beds, and the mattress was very comfortable, so I had no trouble getting to sleep. It was really a great place for all of us to stay together and still have privacy when we needed it. Whenever I come back I will definitely book this again.

First off the location is great, literally 2 mins to the city centre and all the great restaurants in Canterbury, and the check in and communication were great. The house is very clean, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms. What lets it down is that the downstairs seating area is not comfortable at all; the sofa are all old and shabby and very uncomfortable. This made relaxing in the evening (as our kids were in bed) a less than enjoyable experience. In addition the heating down stairs is not powerful enough. Overall decent value for money for a whole house, but probably better in summer and or you’re planning on being out most of the evenings.

A lovely house on a quiet street, right in the middle of Canterbury. A superb location! Really easy check-in using the lock box. Hosts were extremely quick to respond, and very accommodating regarding check-out, as our working times were later in the day so allowed a little more time before the cleaners arrived on the last day... Parking on the street is indeed not possible but prefer the parking and drive New Dover Road rather than the suggested parking because the parking lot is kept at night unlike others (the parkers advised us not to the others, risks for the car if it stayed alone at night).

Fantastic place and couldn't ask for more. Very responsive host, great location, and good value. A really short walk to the cathedral and downtown. The only complaint we had was there wasn't parking available so you had to park your car in one of the public lots.

Fantastic location super close to all of central Canterbury. Nice clean house, comfy beds and lovely crisp linen. Nice to have tea and coffee laid on. Thank goodness the heating worked well because it was freezing when we stayed and we needed the heating on almost constantly. Would recommend this place for easy access to the town and sights and ease of check in

Great Canterbury location! Close to everything! Well maintained by responsive hosts. Best for four people, but five can fit if the fifth person can easily maneuver a very low bed. We very much enjoyed our stay...even cooked Thanksgiving dinner! We would definitely stay here again!

Location is brilliant. Immaculately clean. Hosts responsive. The local binder guide was very useful. Helpfully allowed precheck-in bag drop, a saviour during our rainy stay to not roll suitcases around wet cobbled streets. Post-booking was forewarned about downstairs heating issues: this was manageable once we figured out the space heaters, and that the thermostat in the cooler downstairs regulated heating for the whole house, so needed to be turned down to keep upstairs from overheating to compensate.

The location was perfect and house was fine. We unfortunately had issues with the heating and electric. The host tried their best to fix any problems swiftly.

David's house is really close to the main street of canterbury (300m). Everything is like expected and more : enough kitchenware, a well equipped kitchen (except dishwasher), nice bedrooms with a very comfortable king size bed, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. Thanks a lot for finding a quick solution for the boiler trouble. We recommend this place, perfect for a family. Last thing, David was right : you must'nt park in the street cause controllers verify the cars several times per day even on sunday... but there's cheap carpark around.

We had a fabulous couple of days in the house, it was sparkling clean and very well kitted out. The beds are very comfortable and the whole place feels very homely. The proximity to Canterbury is brilliant, literally a 2 minute walk to the end of the street and you are in Canterbury High Street. We had a great time exploring the city. We arrived late (around 10pm), stopped outside the house to unload and parked in Pound Lane Car Park a 5 minute walk away. It's free between the hours of 9pm and 7am, so we only started paying after 7am. It cost £1.70 per hour, but was very convenient with plenty of spaces. I would highly recommend this property.

Great location and hosts were very accomodating when we needed to change date. Place was good but could do with a bit of tlc in places. Heating was a bit flaky and had to open valves on upstairs radiator to get heat but overall fine. Nearest recommended sensible car park is about 13m walk and very cheap at £2.40 for 24hrs. Main plus point is the location, which is just a couple of minutes walk from the high street and Cathedral. Neighborhood was quiet and we had no problem parking for a few mins to unload the car.

We spent 3 lovely nights here for the August bank holiday weekend. We were concerned about the parking as the closest car park is 15 mins walk away - this turned out not to be a problem. The walk to and from the car park is along the river and lovely. The location of the cottage to central Canterbury is brilliant and we didn't need the car for the weekend. The cottage is 2 minute walk from the high street. The cathedral and the Canterbury tales are both within 10 mins walk. They are numerous pubs and restaurants a very short walk away. The cottage - beautifully set out and perfect for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids. Little touches everywhere - chocolates for the kids, 2 pillows on every bed (4 on the king), clean linens and towels, hand wash in both bathrooms (which we find to be a rarity) and the Bluetooth speaker in the dining room light! We brought coffee and were sad to discover we forgot our cafetierre - not a problem as there was one in the kitchen, as well as pretty much anything you would want. The kitchen was stocked with milk, tea, coffee, sugar and condiments. Use of the back garden, sky movies and Netflix on the TV all added to a great find on airbnb. Loved it! We'll be back!

The house is clean, very comfortable and its location is very central. (it has an adapter plug that is very useful) A neighbor had broken a pipe and they cut off the water, David did the impossible to fix it and help us in the meantime. If we go back to Canterbury, I'm sure we'll repeat.

Well located small terraced house very close to centre of Canterbury but in a quiet street. Two comfortably nicely modernised bedrooms upstairs. Clean and reasonably well equipped but a little shabby downstairs.

Great location (though pity about lack of parking - we went with a JustPark space 6 minutes away). Good space. Odd few niggles (perhaps the host should stay there more - the property is managed by a third party and we never had direct comms with David).

This was an excellent location but the place is shabby and the furniture worn and unattractive. The rugs look old and dirty. There are not very many amenities and when we arrived there was no soap and hardly any coffee. The downstairs smelled musty/mildewy and paint was peeling from the woodwork and walls. The back yard is an overgrown mess. There are hardly any dishes. The upstairs bathroom only has a tub and the shower attachment does not work correctly so that it vacillates between freezing cold and boiling hot water. The toilet seat is loose downstairs. I would not recommend this place.

We had a great stay at David’s place. Barbara, who managed the details of our visit was extremely helpful and available at any time had we needed anything. This was a cheaper option than booking two hotel rooms in the centre of Canterbury and gave us the advantage of having a base to go back to rather than being stuck in hotel rooms. So definitely somewhere we would book again.

We had a nice time in the house. The house is close to the center and a nice little park. The house itself is fully equipped. If there is a fifth sleeper, it should be on the sofa bed, it is not as comfortable as the beds but is fine for a few nights. The house is also equipped with all the comforts, especially the kitchen we liked very much. We recommend this house!

This was a lovely little home just off the High Street. Perfectly located no more than a 15 minute walk from anywhere you’d like to go in Canterbury (including a Sainsbury’s). The neighborhood is quiet with a primary school just down the street and light traffic. Barbara was our host on behalf of David and she was always prompt in her replies to our questions and easily reachable. The house is exactly as picture and includes everything you will need to relax for a few days (including a washer/dryer, a full kitchen and a bath tub).

A very convenient location to explore Canterbury, only a two minute walk to the high street and less than ten minutes to Canterbury West station. Two roomy bedrooms on the first floor (a set of rather steep steps between the floors) with a bath with tub up and a toilet and shower on the ground floor. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Our stay was quite pleasant.

David and Barbara are fabulous hosts. We felt very welcome, well looked after, comfortable and warm. The modern upstairs is a surprise! The beds and bathroom a real treat. Well located for all amenities this property also works very for access into London. We would recommend this property to anyone needing a quiet space but with good facilities. The WiFi was particularly efficient which is a real bonus in Canterbury.

We had a lovely weekend in Canterbury at Davids house. The house itself is very warm and cosy, with everything you need. Parking vouchers for on street were a definite plus. It is just off the main high street, which was the perfect location for sight seeing and evenings out! As it is so close, you do get some noise from groups passing on Friday and Saturdays, but this is to be expected. We would definitely stay here again.

This AirBnb is located right in the heart of Canterbury just off of Main Street. It’s the absolute perfect location for those who want to be in the thick and thin of it all! The place itself was the perfect amount of space with two full bathrooms and two bedrooms! It was incredibly easy to access and the directions were easy to follow! David and Barbara did an excellent job communication and were quick to respond when I had any questions. It’s only about a 7 minute walk from the train station so it was so convenient for us. The house was also very clean and had a guide for things to do in town which we found incredibly helpful! There’s also Bluetooth sound in the dining area so you can play your favorite tunes while pouring yourself some tea! I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore Canterbury!

The house is in a quiet narrow road. We purchased street parking vouchers from the host. We always found a space, but sometimes parking required careful manouevering. It is a bit tatty on the outside, but inside has been rennovated throughout with new furniture and appliances. Wifi was good and sky cinema a plus. Barbara, the property manager, responded quickly to messages, and replaced the battery in a beeping smoke alarm We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

This house is fantastic. Central location, easy to get to by car or by train, within a short walk of the whole of the centre of Canterbury. The house was clean and really nicely decorated, with all of the crockery and glassware we needed. Communication was very quick and easy as well, with responses coming in within an hour and they were accommodating with a late check in. I would go back here again any time.
