This place is a little piece of heaven on earth! The view is spectacular and you walk 1 min to the beach! The decor is luxurious yet simplistic which makes it homy. The house keeper Mpume is such an angel who makes you feel so at home! Melanie is a fantastic host! Highly recommended

It was an absolutely lovely apartment, No negative things to say.. beautifully decorated, spotless and clean, great view of the ocean. A minutes walk to the beach.. Also very appreciative of the sign on the gate warning if 20 second closing, after my last air bnb with no warning of a 10 second delay, which caused huge damage to my car.. very grateful for that! Would stay again, with no hesitation!! Thanks Melanie, a great host! 😊

We recently stayed at Skiatos No 14, and it was an amazing experience! Our host, Melanie, was incredibly attentive and made our check in a breeze. She went above and beyond and even gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do with our kids during our Easter holiday. The view from Skiatos was absolutely breathtaking. We had the most beautiful view of the turquoise ocean, and the sunrises and sunsets were unforgettable. The accommodation itself was incredibly comfortable and homey, with all the amenities you could ask for, including safe parking, 24/7 security, fast WiFi, Netflix, and Nespresso! We felt like VIPs when we arrived, there was even a wonderful surprise waiting for us on the kitchen table when we arrived. Thank you Melanie! I highly recommend Skiatos 14 to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in Ballito. Melanie was an excellent host, and we had an amazing time. Thank you so much, Melanie!

Beautiful location, right next to a tide pool for ocean swimming and snorkeling. The apartment is in excellent condition with fast WiFi and lots of amenities. Fast and easy communication with the host. We would gladly stay here again!

Nice place with spacious parking and easy access to the beach, house was clean and tidy, very homely and welcoming, breathtaking view to the sea. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. Sound security patrolling the whole area. Negative was that the internet kept cutting off, especially in the mornings like we where being restricted 🚫. TV sound bar was taken out for us not to use.

Beautiful apartment!! Rooms are spacious with lovely en-suite bathrooms. We loved hearing the ocean from the main bedroom 😃 Was so nice not to experience loadshedding. Wifi worked very well. Safe undercover parking. Easy access to the beach. Many good restaurants and a Checkers close by. Communication with our host Melanie was effortless. We stayed 9 nights and it was too short! Book this apartment you won’t regret it!

This was our first Airbnb experience and we were absolutely blown away! The pictures online did not do the place justice! It was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for a family with small kids. And had ease of access to more than enough amenities.

This is the second time we have stayed here and won't hesitate to do so again. Every amenity is available and you will want for nothing. You can hear the waves crashing from the farthest end of the apartment. Nice finishing touches, poofy pillows and super comfortable beds. Safe for little ones and the smart TV was a life saver. Thank you for another great stay!

Melanie's apartment is superub in every way. Its clean, cozy, close to the sea and the comfy beds were an added bonus. The rooms are spacious and you can feel the care that has been taken to ensure that every need is met. Melanie was a fantastic host and was in contact with us to ensure that our stay would be memorable! This AirB&B is superior in every way! A must stay- we will definitely be back!

Wow! That is how I would sum this place up. Great stay for a family with littles. There was a crib and aircon. Stylish decor! Amazing view! We could hear the waves crashing from the apartment. We wanted for nothing - the place had everything we needed. It is great value for money. The only downside was having to leave. We hope to stay in this place again soon for our next visit. We should probably book now, because available nights some to go like hotcakes!

As described, a well-kept nice property in a good location. The only minor issue that I could think of was the communal pool which wasn't much. But with the beach out front and Shakas rock tidal pool 5 minutes along it (a suprisingly good snorkel) it didn't matter. Steps to apartment and a steepish short path to beach if that is a problem (not for us). Local amenities including a nice Bar Restaurant 5 mins walk away. Other beaches and major shopping Mall 10 minutes drive.

Truly breath taking. Phenomenal attention to detail in terms of decor, cleanliness and special touches. Not to mention the show stopping views from the private terrace and the unmistakable sound of waves crashing from your bed in the morning. We had a great holiday at Melanie’s apartment. You cannot get closer to the beach and the views from the balcony were phenomenal! The apartment was nice and clean and very comfortable with everything that you needed. Melanie was very responsive and added some nice basic touches. I will definitely be back!

Anyone looking at staying here, don’t hesitate click book now! We loved staying at Skiathos, Melanie was such a gracious host and she checked on us daily to ensure we found eveything okey. She made sure we were at peace before we even landed! The views are amazing! Falling asleep and waking up to ocean sounds amazing! Totally in love with this place and would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing ocean side experience. The beach is in your door step and the views from the patio a Dream!

What an amazing, relaxing holiday in a beautiful, superbly located apartment! Melanie is a super star host - brilliant communication and so responsive. She gave advice about restaurants, WiFi nearby, fishing trips and the best beaches for children. A better host you’d be hard pressed to find. Our 3 sons had the best time in their fabulous room, with 3 beds (2 singles, 1 double bed). There is a games cupboard, large patio with loungers and a gas Weber braai. Easy access to the beach and a large sparkling swimming pool which we loved! So many little touches which were so appreciated - sweets on the children’s beds and chocolates on the main bed on arrival; a complimentary bottle of wine and shortbread biscuits; Soft velvety beach towels; milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. A first aid kit if needed. Everything you could think of and more. We will definitely be back! Thank you Melanie 😊

We had a wonderful stay in Mel’s flat right on the Shaka’s rock beachfront with a beautiful beach outside, and sandwiched between a rock pool and lovely tidal pool for swimming in when you’re tired out from swimming in the sea (watched over by lifeguards). The flat itself is clean, light and big and it was cleaned every day. We enjoyed the shared pool, which is in beautiful and lush surroundings. The complex was quiet and peaceful and felt very safe. Mel is the perfect hostess who gave us loads of tips on where to go locally and was on hand to help with anything we needed - including finding out where we could watch the rugby one day and also arranging for us to stay another night at the apartment when we got our dates mixed up. We didn’t want to leave this place and would highly recommend it! We hope to go back!

Melanie was an exceptional host. She was really quick to respond to any and all requests and questions. She even checked in to see if we were getting around okay. We thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with her. The space was exactly as advertised. We especially enjoyed the “fully serviced” part of the experience. The unit was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It is close to Salt Rock main beach, and a short trip away from Thompsons, which we loved going to with a toddler. Check-in and -out was super easy and Melanie even organised a special request on short notice. Make sure you utilise all the great little gems in the unit (boardgames, books to read, DSTV, first aid kit) Thanks Melanie!!!

What a fantastic place! The flat is located right on the beach and the family loved the fact that you could just walk down and not have to worry about any crossing of roads to get there. The flat is spacious and well decorated and we felt right at home from the time we walked in. The communication with Mel is great and she answered any questions that we had before we traveled. We would really recommend her place for your holiday!

The apartment is neat and has the best views i have ever seen. Very close to the tidal pool the location is what did it for me. Melanie organised a baby crib for my small one. We found the unit very comfortable and welcoming. It has everything you need and it felt like home from home. To top the weekend off we had a huge shoal of dolphins playing and jumping out the sea as they passed by. Absolutely brilliant ànd would highly recommend to anyone.

The apartment is conveniently situated with fabulous sea views. We got to watch the dolphins while drinking our morning coffee. My children loved the quiet beach looking at fish and coral in the rock pools. Great weekend

What a great place to stay! The apartment is much bigger than we expected from the photos and has everything one could need. Spotlessly clean and all in excellent condition. Melanie is a great hostess. Good communication and nice personal touches. To top it all, seeing as our ETA from the airport was after 19;00, Melanie offered to help with shopping before our arrival.
