An absolutely exceptional stay from start to finish! The home exceeded every expectation and is even more beautiful in person. It is tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the fully equipped kitchen to the luxurious bathrooms and the beautifully furnished bedrooms. It truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts were outstanding. They were warm, responsive, and made the entire check-in and check-out process effortless. Their hospitality made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. A special mention to the wonderful cleaning lady, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and took great pride in ensuring everything was perfect. The highlight, however, has to be the breathtaking views from the apartment. Waking up to such spectacular scenery each day was unforgettable and made our stay even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this beautiful home.

What a wonderful place! We had a lovely time. The house is extremely comfortable and as described. The view is wonderful. Right across the road from the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and small shops. The kitchen has everything you could need (bring your own oil/spices etc). The hosts are truly incredible—responsive, proactive and thoughtful. The staff (caretaker and cleaner) are lovely, so helpful and an added touch. We came with children and a grandparent and we would all love to return!!

A wonder home away from home!! Stunning apartment, well decorated and very comfortable. Plenty space. We were welcomed by a wonderful gentleman Innocent. Located in such a central yet quiet area. My family had an amazing time at Mark’s place. He was kind enough to get us a gift as way to apologize for a minor inconvenience that we had during check in. The security guard and the helper are friendly and welcoming. Overall we had a pleasant stay. The place is exactly as you see in the pictures…it’s beautiful and serene

Beautiful unit, perfectly situated within walking distance from the main beach. The apartment is pristine, tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything one may need for a comfortable stay. It’s exactly as portrayed in the pictures. There is an automated garage which offers easy access to the unit and makes offloading the car super convenient. Mark is a super host and we can definitely recommend making a booking, we will absolutely go back again.

Lovely place. A few bits needed fixing/ maintenance but Mark was helpful. Cleaning lady was lovely. The complex pool is great, and an easy walk to the main beach with Thompson and Shaka bay a short drive away. Comfortable amenities. Two of the rooms are adjoining which I hadn’t realised and the bbq is a bit fiddly but the kitchen is well equipped and the house is really comfortable for families. There are beach towels, cleaning stuff and tea and coffee, and a good selection of shops up the road. A really good base if you have young kids. Thanks for a great holiday.

We had an amazing time at Shore Break! The apartment was roomy, spotless, and in a great spot. Our family loved strolling to the beach just across the street and then cooling off in the pool at the complex. Even though the beach could get bustling, the evenings on the patio were peaceful and serene. Can't wait to return – big thanks to Mark for being such a fantastic host!

I feel like the pictures are an understatement of the place when you see it in person. Such a beautiful place, literally 2 minutes walk to the beach. You can take wonderful walks around the neighborhood. Family/child friendly apartment and not far from shopping centers and entertainment areas. My family and I enjoyed our stay there. When we struggled, Mark was kind enough to respond to us in details and with kindness. I would definitely stay there again in future.

We were extremely impressed with this stay, they supplied a baby chair, baby bath, and even a camp cot. All we did was bring our bags and a mattress for the cot. Very peaceful and felt right at home. Definitely worth booking and will be returning soon. The unit was so lovely and central to all amenities, we absolutely loved it

Apartment is safe, clean, close to the beach and exactly as the pictures show. It has everything you need and great extra little touches like decor, books, toys, all cooking utensils etc. Only negative was the TV cable being a bit faulty so most channels were blurry. Overall great stay and the cleaner, Ntoh, was extremely helpful and super friendly. Will definitely book again.

Mark was and absolute pleasure to deal with. Very responsive; allowed us to check in early, and just a super cool guy! What an awesome View! Felt right at home, it is uncluttered, modern, all the appliances worked, and you could hear & see the waves of the ocean from the balcony! Highly recommended and being from the USA, we're pretty spoilt but this was excellent value, and I will definitely stay here again. All in all, a wonderful vacation home.

Mark's place really lived up to expectations following the pics showcased. It was clean, well maintained and decorated and made for a great family get away. Special mention to Ntombi, she was so friendly and cheerful. On the day of departure, we realized we forgot a pillow we had packed and returned a few minutes later, Ntombi had the pillow waiting, along with a charger that we didn't know we had forgotten. We are already talking about returning, coz we enjoyed the place so much.

Absolutely amazing apartment, fantastic balcony and incredible surroundings. It is such a peaceful place even though the road is nearby, you can clearly hear the beach and waves! The pool and garden area is fabulous & welcoming after the beach! The apartment itself is gorgeous - very comfortable and we felt at home straight away. Lovely beds, bed linen and towels! Exceptional does not describe how my stay was. Mark was God sent after an incident that took place he allowed us to stay an extra night. He went above and beyond. A blissful weekend away at the coast! Lauren's apartment is fresh, light, spacious and can fit two families of four comfortably. The location is idyllic with a short walk across the road to Salt Rock's main beach. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need from an ice machine to a braai and TV with Netflix for those rainy beach days. The apartment is also situated 10 minutes from Ballito Lifestyle centre and other activity and shopping centres making it an ideal spot to vacay at with a range of activities and outings to keep you busy. For those wanting to relax, the enclosed pool area in the complex is sparkly clean and boasts loungers, picnic tables, a jungle gym for the kiddies and a braai area. We hope to be back again soon!

Fantastic location by the beach, safe, good internet and we had no load shedding during our stay. Lovely big balcony and it worked well for us to use as a base for a family reunion. To be honest we did have some trouble first accessing the property (had been given the wrong code) and found it hard to contact Lauren at times but when we did get hold of her she was very responsive (she was in to deal with a mould problem within hours). We did find cockroaches in the property which I gather Lauren is planning to deal with.

We had an amazing time at Shore Break. The listing is very spacious, spotless and beautifully finished. Lauren was very responsive and so helpful. I got to catch the sunrise at the beach, which was very safe. There is a beautiful tidal pool within walking distance. The local shopping centres are also in close proximity (about 2km). I was especially grateful for the early check-in which allowed our children to make the most of the great weather. Thank you Lauren, we will be back!

This is a great place to stay. Very modern and beautiful and right across the main beach. The only two negatives are rather poor cellphone signal inside the unit (but fortunately the stable wifi counters this) and not much sun in the winter as the unit faces slightly more south than east. Other than that - great value, great location and all the amenities you need. We will certainly book again.

Excellent holiday destination. Great secure location. Short walk to the main beach (cant get any closer). Grocery shops a quick 5 min drive away. Easy to get there (we did not even use the GPS). Spacious accommodation with much more than the usual amenities (High Speed Internet, smart TV's, Ice Maker, Coffee machine, dish washer, fans in every room etc).

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed as a family before a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. Located in close proximity to Salt Rock Beach the views were great and the patio was perfect for evening braais with a sea view. Beds were comfy and the apartment was clean on arrival. The apartment is fresh and modern with a lot of additional appliances that make the stay that much more enjoyable.

The place looks stunning. Modern furniture and spacious rooms. Loved that you can just walk to the beach and the place also has a communal pool. Perfect neighborhood and not too far from restaurants and other activities that you might want to do. There's residents on the premises and if you looking to have fun as a big group of 8, I wouldn't advise you to book here as you can't enjoy much or make any noise on the balcony after 10pm. Residents don't want much noise. Yet the whole purpose of booking away is to wine down and have fun. All in all we absolutely loved our stay and the best thing is that the cleaning lady can come on the Saturday.

The apartment exceeded expectations, the first rental I have had that delivered more in reality than what the pictures could do justice. Exquisite, clean, comfortable and so spacious. Everything we could need was there and the view is phenomenal. Lina is so helpful and a darling to deal with. Check in details were sent well in time and easy to follow. We even got a heads up to enjoy the good weather of the day as rain was expected the next. Shops and amenities about 3kms up the road. Beach is a quick 3 minute walk accross the road. Rock pools nearby. The pool and play area on the grounds are great, have shade and a nice big shallow area for small kids to play safely. The grounds are well kept, clean and beautiful. Safe and easy parking. Simply the best holiday!

This place is the perfect holiday house. The aesthetics of the house give calm and serenity. Trust me when I say the pictures don’t do justice!!! The view of the beach from the house is breathtaking. I can’t forget to mention how easy it is to get to the beach from the house. And if you love mornings jogs, the neighbourhood is beautiful and allows the perfect run. We have stayed for a few nights at Lina’s and mark’s and we enjoyed every minute staying at their place, the apartment was so equipped, and super clean, secure and had a great location which was near to the beach and close to everything. We really appreciated Lina’s kindness, flexibility and understanding during our stay, she was very easy to communicate with, positive and a quick responder. I totally recommend staying here and will definitely come back again.

Very nice accommodations in a very nice location just off the Tidal pool in Salt Rock to go swimming, surf to the fullest.The room is also very large, the four of us can have one room each.The only downside is that I couldn't find the washing machine. 🤣🤣

You can expect an accurate experience of the home as described. The area is great. The property is safe. The interiors are really nice. Photos match the actual home and in some instances does not do it justice. It is definitely good value for the quality provided. Fully recommended.

A relaxing stay at a lovely apartment. The music from the beach-goers was quite loud on New Year’s Day, given the proximity to the beach so next time I’d prefer to come at out of peak season. But a good stay regardless.

Such wonderful spot. A hop, skip and jump to the beach - and what a gorgeous beach it is - with tide pools and a lovely little reef for the kids. Warm sea water for very grateful Capetonians! The apartment is just gorgeous, beautifully decorated, with every convenience, to make it feel like your home away from home. Lovely balcony with a sea view for morning coffees and evening sun downers. Plenty of room and creature comforts, with a big telly which allowed us to fill late nights and early mornings with reruns of the World Cup final! A beautiful swimming pool too.....Bliss all round.

We loved our time here, walked down to the beach every day and the kids loved the variety of tidal pools, waves and onsite swimming pool.. Enough space for two families with kids to be comfortable. Easy access and great location. We will be back.

We had a lovely time, the space is so chilled because it is modern, it looks good and feels good. Nice and close to the beautiful beach. Lovely swimming pool, feels private. Lots of space to make yourself at home. The cleaning lady was so sweet and helpful too.

We had 6 amazing days in Shark rock. The apartment is more spacious than shown in the pictures. Good to have a car because shops are a bit away. Please try Rays kitchen if you want to visit an excellent restaurant. Melany and Mark responses quickly. We will defentively return

The location could not be better! The house was spotless, and our hosts we really responsive, although there was nothing that we really needed because the house is really well equipped. The pool in the complex is really nice for kids, and Salt Rock beach is about 3 minutes walk away. A short walk down the beach in either direction gets you to really beautiful rock pools.

Finding one night accommodation is usually not easy - especially in a popular holiday destination. We had only one night to spend with our daughter in law and grandchild and needed to be near the airport. We were very lucky to find this wonderful place that accommodated all our needs. In addition we were given permission to book in earlier to spend as much family time together as possible...thank you Melany! Ntoh was there to meet us and answer all our questions. Melany was also just a WhatsApp away. You cannot fault the communication. The apartment is beautiful and equipped with everything we needed. It is located close to the beach and we found it very quiet and peaceful in the evening. The outside deck is large and most of our time was spent there. We really enjoyed our short stay and if we ever need to be near the airport again (with a large family....it sleeps 8!) I will definitely try to secure a booking here. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Most wonderful place I have ever been to. Clean, beautiful and extremely close to the beach and about a 5 minute walk from restaurants. The images don’t do it justice - the apartment is spacious and seems completely brand new. Host is wonderfully helpful and kind. Easy check in and check out. I really recommend this place to everyone. Well worth the money!
