Location hard to find but once located it was easy to enter nice and clean apart from a few bits of cutlery. Fresh feel inside and loads of kitchen crockery which was great. Non stick pans are no longer non stick and need replacing. Wifi didn’t really work and couldn’t get online to see the online guidebook they messaged us. Couldn’t find the router so tv was a no go and teens a bit miffed! Rooms spacious and everything else we used worked. Lovely big garden space. 2 car parking one behind the other. Would book again. 2 nights not long enough!

We absolutely loved our stay at Croft Cottage. It’s a beautiful, peaceful setting and the cottage is spotless, cosy, and impressively well-equipped — it really has everything you need. The owner is lovely and clearly takes great pride in the home. A couple of practical notes: you’ll need a car for shops and exploring, and Host & Stay’s management style is a little more formal with tight check‑in/check‑out times. But none of this takes away from how charming and comfortable the cottage is. We’d happily return.

We had a fantastic break at Croft cottage. It was very clean, well appointed and in a beautiful area. Communication from host and stay was very good. would definitely recommend.

This cottage was a great base for our family. Plenty of space for everyone and a great garden for the children to run around in. A beautiful and peaceful place. This is our second visit and it won’t be our last.

Wonderful stay, the only drawback was checking in 4pm in the winter when it’s dark. Thought 2pm or 3pm would be fairer as check out is 10am especially on a short break.

This cottage was absolutely immaculate. Beautifully clean and very recently decorated. Stunning views at the back, typical farm yard feel out front. We loved the local free range hens who were lovely; very tame and friendly. Lots of great places to visit nearby. A good sized and well maintained garden at the back. Would be lovely in the warmer weather. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children. The property was plenty big enough and the kitchen was well equipped. Effective heating which warmed the place up quickly when it was cold. Would definitely stay here again.

Sadly there was major roadworks during our stay even on the Sunday that we were not made aware of however I am sure that when this work is completed it will return to being a beautiful peaceful place. We ere delighted with the place overall.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Dale’s property. From the moment we booked, everything was seamless and exceeded our expectations. Communication with Charlie was prompt, friendly, and incredibly efficient, making the entire process stress-free and straightforward. Upon arrival, the house was so warm and clean, and superbly organised, which immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. The space itself was immaculate—spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Every detail was carefully curated to ensure comfort and convenience. The location was idyllic! Overall, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Charlie and Dale went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and we can’t recommend them or their property highly enough. We’re already looking forward to our next visit—thank you for making this stay so special!
