The space

Dalton House is a stylish and contemporary three-bedroom retreat, offering a spacious and open-plan living area that serves as the heart of this listed home. The property is designed with comfort and convenience in mind, featuring soft carpets throughout, giving it a comfy, modern feel.

The cosy living room is ideal for both relaxing and entertaining. A large window overlooking Baxtergate floods the space with natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

The kitchen can be found to the rear of the ground floor. Boasting amenities including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave, oven, hob, toaster and washing machine, the space has everything you need for self-catering. The dining space also shares the kitchen area and has seating for all guests.

Upstairs, the three well-appointed bedrooms are designed for restful sleep, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. The master bedroom houses a king-size bed, freestanding bathtub in the room itself, and a ‘secret’ WC. Bedroom two, also on the first floor is a twin, while the second-floor bedroom is also home to two single beds.

The family bathroom can be found on the second floor. With a luxury freestanding bathtub, separate walk-in shower, wash basin and WC, you can enjoy a refreshing morning cleanse, or a relaxing evening soak here.

Dalton House also features additional WCs.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, spacious and welcoming. The location is fantastic. The booking was easy, communication really clear. We would definitely stay again - a brilliant find.

Beautiful home in the heart of Whitby! Great location for exploring the town and the house is really comfortable, it had pretty much everything we needed. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, good shower and good kitchen! The only things missing were a washing up sponge and cloth, and salt/pepper/oil - would be nice not to have to buy these basic items for a short stay (especially given there are other condiments in the cupboards). Highly recommend this place for a stay in Yorkshire.

Location, location location - nice place, clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were lovely and well furnished, kitchen was stocked with basics (dish clothes, bin bags). There are a lot of stairs and they’re quite steep but my elderly father made them up so not too bad. There is a bath on the 1st floor but only shower is on the 2nd floor which may affect people with mobility issues. It is managed via an agency so not super responsive on Airbnb text but available if you call them, and then they called the owner for us.
