The Apartment itself was clean, spacious and close to the centre of town & the sea front.

We made a mistake of selecting 'book now' when reserving- after contacting them EIGHT MONTHS before arrival and asking for a refund to rebook, with the pay later option they refused. Then in the week before arrival we were given no option but to take out their contents insurance for an additional £30 when we already had our own travel insurance! Then two days after arrival we were awoken at 9am by loud drilling and hammering from the flat below, which the owners had decided to renovate without any notice given to us. This carried on all day from 9am-5pm EVERY day for the rest of our stay! No apology, not even someone to check if we were being disturbed by the work- just workmen, building materials and dust all around the main entrance every time we'd had to leave the Apartment because it was intolerable staying inside! Not wanting to spend part of precious time off complaining and in continuous back and forth communications with Host & Stay, we chose to wait until we returned from our holiday to contact them. Beyond receiving bland platitudes from what was clearly an AI Customer Service Bot, Host & Stay certainly don't care and offered nothing in compensation! There customer service is appalling and we strongly urge anyone wanting to book a holiday on the East Coast to avoid booking with them if they can. Such a disappointing experience from start to finish!

It’s beautifully decorated and well equipped, efficient heating and plenty of hot water.
Very well placed for train and bus services, plenty of cafes and shops nearby.

The double bed mattress is uncomfortable and it would be nice to have some thinner pillows.
We were worried when we found the door unlocked after a day out. Nothing of value had been taken, only some biscuits. I explained to the management and they said nobody should have entered the property. They also said they would replace the doorlock and review security.

Apartment was beautiful, would stay there again and recommend

Metal stairs difficult,but accessible. No light in doorway when you access the key pad ,had to use phone light, and no instructions for TV , dishwasher or heating

the family and me wanted to go away last minute for a couple nights and found this lovely place, enjoyed every second here. a close walk to the beach which was very convenient. host was lovely and got back quickly when i had any questions. would stop again ☺️

The apartment was immaculate and as described. We felt at home and it has everything you need for a short break. Location is great and lots of shops and restaurants close by. Would definitely come back if we visit the area again!

Lovely apartment, very well equipped, great decor. Comfortable beds and bedding. Very clean and well presented. Lovely accessible showers.
Just a couple of minor things, the kitchen could have done with a colander or sieve.
The stairs up to the property are metal
Fire escape style steps. My dog was a little cautious at first. My mum struggled a little but hand rails are all there for support there are 3 short flights.
The town is close by and supermarkets, lovely walks to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Very clean new apartment.

Difficult to find, it is behind Saltburn House Hotel, and to reach parking you must drive up the front of Saltburn House Hotel and you may need to move outdoor chairs. Check there is space before you drive up as it is tight parking area. On road parking was free, and close, but we wanted to park at the property for security, as we had equipment on top of the car.

Lovely light and airy apartment, very well maintained and equipped in a good location for both the beach and the town.
There was some noise from the early morning trains and the hotel due to a party on the Friday evening but we did choose to sleep with the windows open as it was warm weather.
It took us a while to find the property as Apple Maps took is to the other end of marine parade. Parking was tricky as access is narrow but we managed ok.
All information sent was timely and useful. The host was very helpful and replied promptly.
There’s a handy Sainsbury’s a few minutes away and some great restaurants in the town. We enjoyed Seaview Restaurant for great fish and seafood, Jadoo for a curry and Coco & Rum for delicious Thai food. Would definitely consider staying again.

The apartment has everything needed for a short stay. Although, the property entrance was difficult to locate and the vehicle entrance very ‘tight’. The kitchen was well equipped but like the rest of the property was short on storage space. The theme was for functionality rather than comfort and the double bed didn’t afford a good nights sleep. The 2 ensuite bathrooms were good. Finally, a little more attention to detail when cleaning would have been appreciated as would a small vacuum cleaner.

Apartment is lovely. Spacious, clean, well furnished and equipped. It was lovely. However we did find it difficult to find and to access parking. It is located behind the hotel and access to parking is gained via very narrow track to the right of the hotel. We couldn’t get our car around that and if we had would have had trouble parking. This was a bit disappointing as we had chosen this because it had parking. However we found parking on the road. This didn’t ruin our stay as really liked the apartment coffee, tea, sugar and milk were provided. Location is good. Would return.

The apartment was finished to a very high specification and had everything you needed on arrival. We were grateful for the pint of milk for a brew after our 2 1/2 hour journey! The location is fantastic and near to all the amenities and restaurants nearby.

There was nothing not to like about this apartment. Perfect.

Directions were terrible. Took an age to find the place. Called Host and Stay and the lady tried to help but couldn’t and just re-sent the welcome pack. Hopefully that will be fixed asap.
The double bed was not at all comfortable as others have noted.

We recently enjoyed our stay for a long weekend at the Coach House, Apt 1. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with all required amenities to hand. The location is very well placed for walks down to the harbour and along the coast. It’s a few minutes walk to the centre and train station. Responses from the hosts on any queries we had were very quick. Although there is a pub within the grounds we heard no noises as the apartments are set round the rear.
A few tips for future guests - we found no wine glasses, so remember to bring your own. The apartment could do with some coat hooks and we found the two single beds much more comfier than the double. I’d recommend parking on the front as, although there is a small area for parking, it was extremely tight to get to it.
All in all, I’d recommend the coach house for a long weekend break to saltburn on sea.
