The space

The spacious and well-lit living area at St Martin’s Road includes a flat-screen TV with Sky including sports and movies, and two armchairs, providing the perfect spot to unwind.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven with grill and hobs, microwave, and compact fridge/freezer. It’s stocked with a variety of utensils, pots, pans, and stylish cutlery, making meal preparation a breeze.

Step outside from the kitchen to find a fenced off garden that is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

I want to start by saying that the owner of the property is great and was very helpful once I was in contact with him directly. Unfortunately, he chose Host & Stay to manage this airbnb listing. Very poor communication - pretty sure I was chatting to a bot 9 times out of 10. Ignored half the messages I sent. Calling them doesn't help much either. One other thing to note is that they have issues with hot water - to the point where there is a laminated sign stating that there is no hot water and to boil a keetle instead! Other than that it was fine - definitely suitable for a short stay.

Sadly the heating and hot water was not on when we arrived - at 11pm The heating issue was addressed that evening but sadly no heating or hot water again in the morning And even though “Charlie” responded we felt it was unreliable. The “garden” is a joke, nothing that resembles nature. Feels like the owners have made a soul-less commercial accommodation. We will be requesting a full refund.

Thoughtfully and excellently designed, furnished and arranged apartment. Considerate, helpful host. Super base from which to explore Canterbury and elsewhere in Kent.
