We really enjoyed our stay in Ravenscar. The large house with garden in a wonderful location was ideal with the children.

Absolutely disgusting inside, found dog faeces in one of the living rooms, dead flies and dust in almost every room, floor and walls were grimey. For a dog friendly accommodation there were hidden rules on arrival where dogs weren’t allowed on furniture or upstairs with no way of stopping this. The garden was very slippy and not suitable for the dog. Whilst not advertised as enclosed there were areas that were a risk to the dog. We decided to not stay after checking over the property and when packing back up the host was rude through the ring doorbell. We had spoken to host and stay who “managed” the property and they were no help in resolving any of it.

Lovely stay at Ranworth House. The views and surrounding areas were the best. Saw the owner at end of our stay who spoke to us what a lovely family they are. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Really lovely house in a beautiful setting. Loads of space for the 7 of us, fab kitchen and dining area. Nice walks to Robin Hoods Bay and surrounding area. Good hotel 5 mins walk away for bar and food. Great views out to sea. We had a really lovely stay thank you.

Beautiful house set in idyllic surroundings. We all felt at home as soon as we got there. There was an issue with a leaking radiator but the owners came out within 10 mins of reporting it and fixed it. Would highly recommend 👌

We stayed in this lovely home with our family — myself, my partner, his mum, dad, sister, and our two babies — and it was absolutely fantastic! The house was spacious, spotless, and perfectly set up for both adults and little ones. We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The bedrooms were cozy, the living areas were bright and welcoming, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. The host was friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond, which made the whole experience even better. We all had such a great time and made special memories here. We would happily stay again and highly recommend this place to any family looking for a relaxing, comfortable getaway!

We had an amazing weekend at Host & Stay’s property. The pictures don’t do it justice—everything was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well equipped. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend.

5 stars all round. My only comment is a few more cooking utensils would be great, like a baking tray and a mixing bowl. Otherwise a fantastic place and we would go back.

Really enjoyed our two nights here - great space for we and the grown up kids and a large dog. Number of bathrooms a bonus. Ideally situated for walking the Cleveland way which we did to Robin Hoods Bay. Had most things you would need except we didn’t see any hair conditioner. Perhaps a few blankets would be useful for colder evenings to cosy up on the sofa or use in the conservatory. E fully enclosed garden would be a selling point for dog owners too to save trekking outside with a long lead in the dark and rain. We would definitely return to Ranworth - thank you ❤️

We had a lovely stay but we had 1 year olds with us and for us there were too many baby risks, but that’s not the hosts fault! The kitchen and conservatory area are stunning and great for a group meal. Really a credit to the property. There were little things about the property that need some TLC but overall our stay was comfortable.

Hello, the four of us had the most wonderful weekend at Ravenscar. The house was perfect and we were totally spoilt by having a bedroom each - such luxury. The kitchen had everything we needed and the table in the conservatory was perfect for meals, chatting and playing board games. The house was easy to find and we were so lucky with the weather - sunshine everyday and just a bit breezy on the Sunday. Our stay was really good. Everything was as described online and clean and welcoming. The en suite bathrooms were lovely The big table in the conservatory was a real plus as were the doors to the outside spaces. Would recommend and visit again

Beautiful house in a lovely area. House was clean and well maintained. View of the sea from the 1st and 2nd floors. The tearoom in Ravenscar was nice and had gluten free options. We enjoyed the rural, peaceful location and found it a relaxing stay. I didn’t realise that the garden wasn’t fully fenced. I may have missed it in the description of the house. So we did have to take the dog outside on a lead every time and that also meant we couldn’t open any of the doors leading to the garden as she could get out and into the road. I would definitely stay again.

Our family of 8 have just had a 3 night stay here and WOW the place it’s self is stunning. We couldnt have asked for more, kitchen was brilliant had all the bits and bobs we needed gorgeous dining table was plenty big enough to fit us all round. bedrooms were big and spacious, comfy beds, plenty of towels too. Light, airy comfortable, we felt right at home straight away. The garden was a lovely bonus too. We would definitely return

Not aware of the Air bnb in the gargae attached to house Garden is not enclosed for pets and children Bathrooms need maintence i.e very wobbly taps, leaking showers. Bathrooms not very clean. Flies everywhere in the kitchen and conservatory also dead flies along the window sills. Cobwebs everywhere. General cleanliness was pretty poor. Windows were filthy inside and out. Unable to use tv for children in the venings as netflix and other apps are locked to another user. Absolutely gorgeous location, very quiet and peaceful. Fantastic views all around. Beautiful scenery for walking. Need car to get to shops etc. Would love to stay again if the above gets sorted out.

A lovely, large house with plenty of character in a pretty but peaceful stretch of the Yorkshire Coast. We settled in quickly and particularly liked the kitchen and conservatory area which was modern, well equipped and bathed in sunlight. We traveled as a party of five and there was more than enough space for us all. We appreciated the nearby coastal path with beautiful views over the cliffs and also wished we'd brought bikes due to the proximity of the Whitby - Scarborough Greenway. The decor isn't to everyone's taste (fine if you like lots of animal heads on the wall) and we found the main bed really creeky, but otherwise it was comfortable and we were sad to leave.

Beautiful spacious house finished to a very high spec. Glorious weather which made the kitchen and dinning area extremely warm, ideally this space needs air con or blinds. Thank you for a wonderful stay and birthday celebration for my daughter.

A great location to use as a base, set in beautiful scenery. NOT beachside as described in listing. Not ideal for those with limited mobility. A tired looking property. N0 basics in kitchen, despite listing saying there is i.e. salt, pepper, oil, black bags etc - we had to buy EVERYTHING. One tea towel for a weeks stay?! No cushions for uncomfortable outdoor furniture. Flat batteries in TV remote (batteries in cupboard wrong size) Borders overgrown, lawn unsure when it was last cut. But the flies, really spoilt out stay - some kind of device needed for kitchen/conservatory area to address the problem. Rugs in door ways are a hazard they slip all over. Wobbly taps, peeling paint & rust on upstairs bath. En-suite shower on 1st floor, scolding hot and unusable. Very disappointed in-terms of value for money Vs what we paid for 7 nights.

Stunning property in a convenient location within a short walk of Raven Hall with ample off-road parking. Check-in was smooth and the instructions were easy to follow. First impressions of the property were good; lovely kitchen and dining area and nicely decorated throughout. Host & Stay were very responsive to messages during our stay but we were disappointed to note that there weren't any cushions for the patio furniture. A few other issues, some of which have been raised by previous guests which don't appear to have been rectified include: 1. Lack of bins - only one in the entire house 2. No blind in one of the attic bedrooms which is an issue during summer 3. Scalding hot shower in the first floor ensuite, temperature could not be adjusted 4. Numerous dirty hand marks on the windows 5. No locks on any of the bathroom doors. Some bathroom doors don't have a catch in order to close the door properly The property has great potential if the above issues were addressed.

Lovely home but we had to clean the cutlery and crockery as wasn’t very clean. The blind in the top floor twin room was broken and on the windowsill and the shower in the 1st floor double en-suite was either hot or scalding. The lawn on the back garden didn’t look like it had been mowed in weeks Despite this we had a lovely stay great location 20 mins drive from Whitby or Scarborough about 10 mins drive from local pubs we would recommend three jolly sailors or oak wheel both take dogs You can hear the wind howling in the bedrooms on the top floor so take earplugs very glad we did

Beautifully decorated house with lots of character, in a very picturesque location. Great dining area to socialise. Spacious en-suites (though would benefit from bins) and handy to have another bathroom on the first floor (as well as the fourth toilet - a downstairs loo which doubles as a utility room - on the ground floor). Lots of fridge space. Nice garden, though we sadly didn't have the weather to enjoy it!

Rather stressful from the company Dale, in view of receiving access details for the property. Repeated emails asking to complete a check in form via a link, but no link on repeated emails and contact. However was resolved easily by phone call to the company. Ranworth - wonderful comfortable home for our family celebration and get together, with excellent communal space. Ravenscar - magnificent and beautiful coastline. Stunning views, mixture of walks and wild/sea life. We’ve all enjoyed a superb time together. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay with our family young and old we all loved the house, it had everything we needed and was close to coastal walks. The views are stunning it was lovely and clean. The kitchen was high spec with Bose speakers- nice touch. Lovely deep bath for relaxing and beds were comfy. The conservatory was a nice place for us all to socialise. Lovely space to come back to after a good day out. We will definitely return. X

Beautiful house, exactly as photos. Stunning location, perfect for walking, breathtaking views across Robin Hood Bay. Numerous choice of local eateries, tried a few, all very good and local people very friendly. Host is called Jason, when we got hold of him he was extremely helpful but I don’t know who Dale is. We never spoke to anyone called Dale Have already booked for next year

The property is beautiful, it was a lovely getaway for a group of 8. Plenty of space for us all. We would stay again, just a few minor adjustments needed but it did not spoil out time away. Dusty on the floors under radiators and in corners Little rubbish in the bathroom Downstairs toilet not in use and we was not told Instant hot water tab did not work We was not told an annex was attached with another group on a weekend away, the other group was using the outside space that looked straight into the house, that was a little unsettling and annoying. None of this put us off and would return, just slight things to note.

Beautiful clean home which catered brilliantly for 8 of us - plenty of space and privacy. We had a fabulous weekend making memories with local visits to Whitby & Robin Hoods Bay. The conservatory room at the end of the kitchen is a stunning feature which was great for sitting socially. We would definitely recommend this home to others, and would stay again if looking for a home in this location. Thanks again!

A lovely, cosy house to spend a weekend. Sea views from upstairs. There is plenty of parking, easy to find using the check-in details sent to us before we arrived. We walked from Ravenscar to Robin Hood's bay - fantastic walk, well signposted (we were fortunate that one of our party didn't fancy it and came to pick us up - wouldn't have wanted to walk back!!). Would recommend the house! Thanks for having us!
