Excellent responses from owner, immaculate house, very spacious, home comforts, comfy beds, comfy sofas. Immaculate inside. Outside, not the house itself but the road it’s on didn’t give a great appearance upon arrival but as you walk through the door, you forget all of that. I think there may have been a house getting renovated inside so all their rubbish was in the yard. Saturday night was a little noisy but only briefly, nothing untoward with lads from the pub but you’re right in the town. All other nights were silent. Will definitely revisit. Zero faults with the house. Highly recommend for cleanliness and location. 3 min walk to the pier. 10 mins drive to Warkworth. Loved it.

Wind Rose cottage was just perfect for our needs. The kitchen was excellent with all the elements needed. The beds were so comfortable; this was a highlight. The lounge and dining areas were comfortable. The location was excellent with shops around the corner and the harbour minutes walking distance. Our Host was friendly and prompt with responses when needed.

It took a few attempts to work out the shower, but it worked in the end. Parking on the street was a little tricky adering to parking time limits, no onsite parking.

The beds were very comfortable and it had a state of the art shower...

It had an infestation of pigeons on the roof that were very noisy from 4am. This must have been a known issue as there were spikes on window sills, making opening window difficult, and silver ribbons of paper around. They were dirty and noisy. That wasn't the worst however - it was advertised as having a garden, this was no garden! It was a small, dirty, stone filled area between the back two doors. It had a half pack of tablets on stones and there was a horrible entrance next door. It was a disgrace to call it a garden.
The full downstairs and stairs were dirty on arrival. Took hrs of calls, emails and photos to company to get this sorted. It was like I wasn't believed but I could write my name in the dust on every surface. The sofas and stair carpet were also dirty. I was only there for two nights but got moved at 4pm the next day for one night. I was advised that work had been done and it had not been cleaned. This can happen however but I was do glad to leave as the non existent garden and bird infestation was terrible. Would I recommend this accommodation? Absolutely not!
A couple of days before I was sent an email to see if I wanted to check in an hr earlier for £70++ - absolute disgrace. Not that I would have paid that but an extra hr in that place would not have been welcome...

Stayed in amble twice before. Just down the road. House had everything you need. Communication was very good. Responsive when had an issue with the boiler. Bed comfy as other house bed was uncomfortable.
Overall great base to stay. Only thing I would mention is that the shower is an all singing and dancing one with radio lights etc but the radio can’t be tuned in. Was looking forward to the novelty of it.

Bed was really comfortable

Just one small point shower temperature control is a little stiff and was difficult to turn it to a cool enough temperature. Needs to be freed up.

We had a lovely stay in this central location. It was a bonus that our dog could join us. The house was clean and had everything we needed

Great location but the property really let it down. The house could do with total renovation, it smelt of stale smoke and was not very clean. poorly decorated with some new furniture. The listing was very misleading.

Wind Rose Cottage provided a great base for our visit to Northumberland. Situated just off the high street in Amble close to pubs and restaurants and within walking distance of the harbour. The accommodation is a good size for four with a number of rooms downstairs including a snug and dining room. The outside space is a small yard. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location. Minutes away from shops and restaurants. Very comfy beds! Parking wasn’t an issue as lots of spaces near by! We had a fab stay as a family of 4 for half term break!

Couldn't enter conservatory from inside had to use door out side poor parking lot of noise people walking past from the pub kids misbehaving wasn't very clean
