We liked the quaintness, and to start the location
The stairs were very steep.
The frame needs to be taken off the bed, it makes it difficult to move around .
Shower not very good.
Noice from the pubs was bad until closing.

The Fisherman’s cottage is a great little find on the Norfolk coast. The cottage has everything you need and is good value for money.

It was small, which I expected. But really comfortable and so, so close to everything! I loved it and wanted to stay longer.
Nothing.

Pleasant cottage just 2min walk to sea front & 5min walk to centre of town & short walk to Cromer station from town centre!
Shower needed updating! Was cold at night in February! Needed lighting by main entry door at rear at night, had to use torch on phone to see entry key pad!

It is a great little (tiny) cottage. The location is very good and Cromer is a particularly nice town. Kitchen is well equipped, shower works well, and bed is very comfy. Sofa is well worn, but cosy and comfortable. All I would say negative is that those stairs really need a non-slip surface on. Overall, though, I certainly would have no hesitation recommending Fisherman's Cottage

Great place to unwind after a busy week. Very steep narrow stairs that wouldn’t be ok for everyone! But overall a great stay!

The location was excellent
Arrived late and in the dark. No info as to where the door code was. Rang the emergency number only to be hung up on. The key code was at the back of the property. Don’t understand why that wasn’t information offered as opposed to trying to find it in the dark

Convenient to all amenities and cosy
The flooring all downstairs is very cold and toilet needs a good clean and the shower trap needed cleaning full of hairs. No light near back door

Good location
There were problems with the property, the bathroom fan heater did not work, the socket in the bedroom was loose, when the lounge heater was turned on dust and debris fell on the floor and had to be hoovered daily, plagued by moths up to 30 at a time, the tv aerial is laying precariously on the roof. Having to access by the rear door only and there is no light, slipped on the wet inspection chamber cover in the dark. Reported issues which were not resolved, stating the key wasn't left in the key safe, there was no key safe there was a code activated lock on the door.

John

The location, everything to hand and dog friendly, all the essentials you need
Toilet badly scaled and brown, we attempted to clean, fan heaters not working in the bathroom or kitchen, a light on a sensor needed in the archway for safety, and a small lamp by the back door to see the code lock, 2x dirty mugs, bathroom lino needs scrubbing or replacing, shower trap cover broken, bedroom light now working, floors could do with scrubbing, a mop and bucket would be a good idea, the mattress was a large piece.of memory foam that didn’t fit the bed frame, bathroom sink plug ‘O’ ring needs replacing, hot water cylinder might be scaled up, slow flow. Creaky floorboards are part of the character of the cottage however there are too many especially by the toilet

This property has so much potential to be perfect.
It’s old but nice and cozy place
Upon arrival we were not really sure if the place was clean or not.
In the kitchen the surfaces were clean. Pots and baking trays were either dirty or not cleaned very well. We avoided using most of them and used only few pots we have cleaned before use.
We also had to invest in new knife and vegetable peeler we left at the property afterwards because the original knives and peeler were so dull they were unusable.
I would suggest getting rid of the cutlery that are partially plastic as dirt can get stuck in the crevices. Solid metal cutlery can be cleaned more thoroughly and easily.
The kitchen would also benefit from being equipped with a broom and a dustpan. We had nothing we could use for sweeping the kitchen floor after cooking.
There was a vacuum we could potentially use but the dirt collector compartment of it clearly hasn’t been emptied for some time.
Bathroom, similarly as kitchen appeared clean on a first glance.
The inside of the toilet is stained brown which has appeared as not cleaned but probably is only a result of over-time buildup that cannot be cleaned by regular cleaning anymore.
The shower had water stains on the walls and mold-like stains in corners. We have found a cleaning solution in a cupboard, used it on the corners couple of times and it helped.
The bedroom appeared to have fresh bedding that was neatly prepared for us. However we have found additional bedding thrown on the floor of housekeeper’s cupboard along with clean towels. The cupboard itself isn’t clean at all and contains some of the items that seemed to be withdrawn from use because of the state of them.
The overhead lamp in the bedroom wasn’t working. We have reported it to the property management and they have reacted appropriately to the situation so I appreciate the friendly approach of the staff.
We have spent some time sourcing power for the bedside table lamps provided as they were unplugged from their well hidden outlets.

Property was well described but needed some TLC
Bedroom - top light not working
Heater in kitchen not working unable to turn on
Well equipped kitchen but no welcome pack or basics as we have often experience in other properties
Noisy pub the Albion at the top of road (Music 5 nights out of 7) with loud punters in the road
The central location made getting into town easy

Excellent location. Literally a minute from the sea and The Red Lion - an exceptional pub: best in Cromer imho. Comfortable bed and plenty of storage.
The stairs, obviously but that’s highlighted in the details. The door resists opening - shame there isn’t a key in a key box. Net curtain at the front would be nice and an oven glove would be helpful. Proper tea towels please and a decent pair of kitchen scissors.

location to the beach was fantastic....2 mins walk.
pub opposite was very noisy....even mid week
mattress is ridiculous and needs replacing. huge dip in the middle.
metal four poster bed in a small room makes it very difficult to even get around
sofa is very dated and not comfortable in the slightest
the whole building needs a good clean and a lick of paint
it's alot smaller than photos let on
it served its purpose for a few days but glad we weren't staying any longer
wouldn't go back to this property

Our stay at this property was, the most disappointing experience we’ve had with an Airbnb. We encountered multiple serious issues that made our stay uncomfortable and, frankly, unacceptable.
There was significant black mold in the property, which posed a health risk, especially as my girlfriend has asthma. The strong smell of mold permeated the space, and while a handyman was sent to treat it, the chemical odor that replaced it was just as unbearable.
We found over 20 moths in the bedroom, and the downstairs area reeked of wet dog. It was clear that a dog had chewed the keychain, and there were cobwebs throughout the property, making it feel dirty and neglected. The kitchen utensils were rusting and filthy, requiring a thorough wash before we could use them.
We decided to cut our stay short, and only got offers a refund on the night we skipped and 10% discount on the rest of the trip. I would encourage other guests to consider other options until the issues are resolved.

We really loved the location and the cottage was lovely.
Unfortunately the light in the bedroom wasn’t working and it was a little dusty in places. There was a bit of an odd smell too when we arrived.
However other than that the actual property was great. Good value for money and the location was excellent.
One thing to note, if you’re an early sleeper please be aware the pub opposite is very noisey. It shuts around 1130pm I think. Double glazing would help this but appreciate that may not be feasible!
The hosts were lovely and we were able to check in early which was brilliant.
All in all a great stay thank you!

Location is amazing. Facilities are good. Everything you need. Little smaller than we anticipated.
Stairs are very steep. Also the microwave didn't work. Only a very small court yard if you have a dog. Feel the 4 poster bed makes the bedroom feel a bit closterphobic. Normal bed would be better.

What an outstandingly beautiful little place to stay, went there during a road trip with my father and my dog. The flat is perfect for two persons, friends, family or a couple. It can be found right in the town centre, only three steps away from the beautiful beach and two pubs - can’t even decide which one was the best! We stayed here over the Easter holidays and the town was crowded and lively, an absolute bliss to mingle in the evenings and meet very friendly people.
The whole town is very dog friendly and perfect for a stay with a four legged friend - they are even allowed into Sunday mass! The flat is absolutely lovely, very tidy and offers a full stuffed kitchen including a washing machine. When travelling by car, there are great opportunities for day trips, especially by taking the coastal route for example to Sandringham, the beautiful nature reserve of the Norfolk coast or in the other direction to Great Yarmouth.
We clearly are considering coming back in the summertime!

Location was great close to town and beach
The price you pay for the great location is close to a loud pub and the shower was not very powerful.
Didn't like the four poster it made the room feel very small and was unnecessary.

A great central location and close to pubs, shops, restaurants and the pier and beach. A rustic quirky cottage with period features.
It really wasn’t clean at all. Dirty toilet with lots of pubic hairs and dirty shower tray. Sanitary liner on bedroom floor. Huge pile of sand under the sofa and bits of cardboard. Sand actually on the sofa itself. A very greasy grill pan. I did phone booking.com and they did offer to send a cleaning team back, but I didn’t trust that it would get done properly so I put on my marigolds and set to to work cleaning the oven, toilet, shower, kitchen work tops and hoovered throughout. I then cleaned the whole house again before leaving as I didn’t want anyone else facing what we did.

The house is cute and cosy but you can’t open any windows apart from the bathroom so it feels slightly claustrophobic…the door could be left open but if you have an escape artist li ke a dog, it’s not a good idea..

Central Location was great and only a few yeards from the seafront and town centre amenities. A cozy little cottage with lots of character and avery comfy bed.
Cleanliness of the kitchen utensils could have been a lot better. In particular, the drinking mugs were all very badly stained and we ended up going out to purchase some of our own as we considered the ones supplied to be unusable. Much of the cutlery and other utensils all looked very well used and in need of updating. The location too has its good and bad side. There is a pub located opposite which can be very noisy until around midnight.

Interesting characterful property, central location but definitely small and difficult stairs. Facilities ok.
Needs some TLC, broken hook in bathroom, hot water Luke warm at best but shower ok as electric. Would benefit from net curtain downstairs for privacy as next to busy ( noisy) pub Bedroom would benefit from thicker curtain to block out street light right outside window. Clean enough but don’t look at space behind fridge! Bedside light not working.

Great location in the centre of town and very close to the beach and walks. My dog enjoyed a walk on the beach and checking out the waves as the tide came in. Very close to two pubs, which got a bit noisy on occasion, but very handy as both were also dog friendly. A relaxing break away and the weather was OK, not very windy and only the occasional shower.
The house itself was very small, but had all the facilities.

A lovely little cottage brilliantly positioned in the heart of Cromer - just moments away from the beach and pier. Lots of great dog-friendly venues nearby too. He had a great few days at the Fisherman's Cottage, which was is a perfect location to explore the friendliest town of Cromer.
The whole town is very dog friendly and the cottage is too but be warned that the stairs are indeed very steep indeed and neither of our dogs could manage them. Carrying an English bulldog is certainly a workout!
Parking in a nearby was a breeze (but it was early March).
Would stay here again if we returned to Cromer.

Had a great half term break in lovely Cromer. Cottage is small and cosy. Ideal for a couple. The location is perfect for exploring Cromer. Couldn’t be more central. We didn’t use our car the whole stay.

Quick access to all the local bars, eateries and coffee shops. A two minute walk to the beach and start of the coastal path in either direction - towards Overstrand is a nicer walk.

We really enjoyed staying in this cottage for a week on our trip to Cromer
It’s in the perfect location - right next to the sea and really easy to find.
The house itself is quite small but it was plenty for just the two of us.
The only small things to note would be the staircase is small and steep (this is outlined by the property management clearly) we didn’t find it an issue but you could if you were older or had children
The cottage is also situated next to a pub which can have music late on the weekends - we didn’t mind this but it’s always good to know.
Thanks again x

Loved our stay at Fisherman’s cottage. Perfect for 2 people and a little dog. Property was cosy and in a perfect location, literally a stone’s throw from the beach. Only issue we had was the pub round the corner playing loud music until around 11pm each night. So come prepared with earplugs if that will bother you, the cottage and location more than makes up for it!

Ideal location right in the centre of Cromer. At the end of road your at the seafront. Restaurants are plentiful and a pub and inn just yards from the cottage. Accommodation small as you should expect from a cottage, stairs steep so smaller cases are better than a large case. Bed soft but snuggly (We prefer firm but thats just us). Parking we found best in the local carpark Cadogan Road (£7.00 Per Day). Side streets might be free but very narrow and on a Friday night arrival full. Would recommend this as a great place for Cromer.

This air bnb is in the perfect location, centre of town, surrounded by spots to eat and drink and just a couple minutes walk to the beach.
It’s very charming from the outside, I love the signage, but I would say the pictures make it look a lot bigger. It’s a squeeze getting into the shower, and if you’re tall like me you may hit your head a few times going from room to room! Bed isn’t the comfiest either. If you’re just using as a base at the end of the day, it’s fab!

The great bits... What a fantastic location, minutes if not seconds from the beach and local amenities. It was surprisingly quiet too being so central. Very clean and everything seemed to work as it should. The pricing was about right for the level of property.
The not so great bits... As one or two others have mentioned there is a light outside the window so we took a blackout window cover with us and it was definitely needed.
Most things in the bedroom creak, the product of an old building perhaps but one to note if you have a light sleeping partner and someone who needs to spend a penny in the middle of the night.
The mattress too is very soft if you're used to a firm mattress.
All in all a great place for 2 of you if needing a quick escape to the seaside... which we most certainly did!

Great little cottage, really well located for Cromer and all its amenities. Warm and cosy with everything you need for a few days away.
As previously mentioned, parking was a few streets away but we managed to find something each time we looked without too much difficulty.
The only thing I’d say is that, if you need it to be dark to sleep I’d recommend taking an eye mask as there’s a street light attached to the outside of the building just above the bedroom window so it shines directly into the room.
All in all, a great stay.

What a wonderful little cottage right in the heart of Cromer. I can imagine that the lack of parking could cause a real headache in the summer, but during winter we found the location in the centre of Cromer and so close to the beach more than made up for the fact we had to park a few streets away. The location of this property couldn’t have been better! So close to everything and in the heart of the beautiful seaside town. Perfect size for me, my little boy and our dog.
Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

Lovely little cottage. Fantastic location in the centre of town just 2 minutes from the beach and right opposite a great pub, the Red Lion

Lovely place to stay, homely and cosy. Only thing we struggled with was parking, hard to unload if you've got a few more bits than a suitcase as the car parks a few streets away. Unrestricted parking was only possible at night and even then thats only if you can get a space. Arrive early if you're happy to pay for the 24hr parking on Cadogan Rd or Meadow Carpark (£7 for 24hrs) as it does get quite busy.
If none of this is a bother then it's perfect, it's a lovely place to stay regardless, clean and quirky.

Property location is excellent, right in the town centre and next to the sea front, church and museum. There is a lovely pub next door to the property also. There are lots of great walking routes right on the doorstep. The upstairs was lovely but I think the downstairs could have a couple improvements. Check in was easy and the communication was very good - even mid coronovirus pandemics! Local food was also lovely (I recommend Cromer No1 fish and chips and Craft Burger Cromer did delivery AND had the best vegan burger I've ever tasted). The property had everything you need for a short stay, including basic amenities. It was a nice quaint little property. The property was clean but not to the highest standard for us (there were a lot of dog hairs downstairs) which seems to contradict the other reviews. It should be noted there is no parking at the property due to the location but you can park in nearby roads without charge. Only mentioning that as we have a baby (so lot's of stuff) and had to unload (with cabs trying to get past) and then find somewhere to park. Overall a lovely stay and we will be coming back in the future.

A lovely compact cottage in the heart of Cromer. We had two and a dog in it. Plenty to do with pubs and restaurants nearby and the beach and pier literally a stone’s throw away.

I feel like had I picked one of the other properties in the area for the same price I would have felt more satisfied with my purchase. Fine for a couple of days... maybe ‘pokier’ than I thought it would have been. But not terrible by any means but certainly had better air b n b experiences.

Charming seaside cottage. Clean, dog-friendly, and with everything needed for an enjoyable winter break in the peaceful and friendly town of Cromer.
The steep narrow stairs could be a problem for some; the availability of unrestricted parking nearby was a minor inconvenience.

The cottage is a great location, good
local pubs. We enjoyed lovely beach walks in both directions overstrand and Sherringham. Dont be put off by the parking we found parking in the recommended roads, and didn't need to move the car for the entire weekend. Even if you need to use one of the public parking facilities it's worth it.

The location is very central and the cottage has everything you would need for a few days away. Check in and communication were fantasti. We reported a faulty heater and the response was immediate with an offer to fix it the same day. Outstanding service! Parking nearby is impossible but expected in such a central location. We dropped our stuff off then found a parking space (we have a baby so don't travel light).

We had a very enjoyable stay but the parking is a problem even out of season because the signs on all the roads mentioned in the description say only 30 min is allowed at any one time
24 Hour parking costs £7 and is about a 5 min walk away as described
The Red lion Hotel is 70 yds away and has a beautiful bar with sea views
Couple + dog stayed for 3 nights

This is a perfect cosy cottage for two and a small dog. Unrivalled location where you can hear the sea and access Cromer’s shops and restaurants easily. We only booked 4 nights to enjoy carnival week, but for longer stays we were pleased to see there is a washing machine. Highly recommended.

The Fishermans Cottage in Cromer is in a superb location.
It's a traditional cottage so is fairly small inside but is well equipped with everything that we needed for our stay.
Unfortunately the cottage has some issues with damp when we were there. We have notified the owners and trust that they will do something about this.
Overall we had a lovely stay in Cromer and would love to return to the area to explore some more.

Great little cottage, centrally located in Cromer. Very clean and welcoming. Some great dog walks, including the beach (out of season). Shame 2 of the 4 pubs were closed (the Albion, opposite being refurbished), but the Red Lion (20 yards away) had great food and beer.

Great little cottage in the heart of Cromer- you won't need to use your car! We initially thought parking would be a nightmare but the host sent us enough information before hand to help us find a spot close by. The amenities in the cottage are basic but enough for a trip away. The little notes left around the place with instructions on how to use everything are also especially helpful. We will return and reccommend this lovely little place to our friends and family!

Perfect little cottage with lots of attention to detail. Sweet little four poster bed too. Extremely clean and all the necessary essentials you would need for your stay. The cottage is also located in the centre of Cromer giving easy access to everything and everywhere. We took our Beagle too. And I think he will agree with my comments 😊

A quaint old cottage in a quiet street in the heart of Cromer. Close to the sea, church, shops and pubs. The best pub just over the road (the back of the Red Lion). Don't be put off by the exterior. Great service and food and very welcoming. Parking is a bit of a problem but there are public car parks which are free between 6pm to 8am. Great fish and chips from No 1 where you can sit in or takeaway and sit on a small terrace overlooking the sea and pier. The cottage had everything you needed for a short break. Just lovely.

Very sweet little cottage, well located in the centre of town, coffee shops and near the beach. Super cute little bedroom! On the night we were there, we could hear live music from the pub down the street, but they finished at 10pm, so it was not an issue for us - but may be if you are an early to bed type of person! I also suspect it would be quieter in winter when their door is closed!

The cottage is lovely and very cosy, perfect for a couples get away to the beach! Located a minutes walk to the beach and a minutes walk to the shops the other direction you couldn't ask for a better location. One slight downside is parking, for anyone going by car get there early to get a space, Cromer's beautiful but not the most car-friendly place.

Charming historic cottage in a superb almost beach-side location. Communication with Sascha was very simple and prompt.
Fisherman's Cottage is only a 10 min easy downhill walk from the train station. Access was super easy with the keypad, and overall the place felt secure enough because Cromer is sleepy seaside town. The place appears exactly as in the photos and was even a little bigger than I was expecting. The bed and bathroom are plenty big enough (we're both quite tall). The kitchen functioned fine (we didn't need the washing machine) and it's equipped with everything you'd need for almost any culinary creation.
The stairs are by far the worst thing about the cottage - they are very steep, very narrow and super shiny (slippy). I'm in no way unfit or accident-prone but the only way I found to go down the stairs safely was backwards. So if you're not steady on your feet or are planning a few drinking sessions, this is not the cottage for you!
There was live music on Saturday and Sunday in the pub across the road (all day and evening) which was possibly for the folk festival but otherwise the place was wonderfully quiet.
Recommended things to do:
1) go for swims in the sea just down the steps at the end of the lane
2) write postcards while having a hot drink and scone at Henry's Tea & Coffee
3) take a walk along the beach to West Runton or Sheringham and take the train back
4) have something seafood-y at the Red Lion for dinner (average food, lovely staff)
Thank you to Sascha at Norfolk Holiday Properties. We hope we'll have chance to stay at this or another of your places in the future.

Quaint cottage in an excellent location, free on street parking near by but ask host before for a handy map. This is a really sweet cottage ideal for one or two people, probably on a shorter break. It's very pretty and really central. I had a small issue with the fuse tripping on my arrival, but Sasha was there on the end of the phone to help me sort it out... that's always the worry with unhosted arrivals, but it turned out fine.

Lovely cute cosy cottage. The location is brilliant - just one row back from the seafront. The host left bread butter milk and cake to get us started which was a nice touch. Also being the first to book through airbnb we had an extea gift of wine and chocolates. Lovely! The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities required. The information pack was very informative too
