Other things to note
DAMAGE PROTECTIONThis property is protected by Just Be Lekker (JBL), the travel reputation platform. Guests are required to pay a R800 non-refundable damage waiver fee (R10,000 worth of accidental damage cover) OR have a R7,500 refundable security deposit hold placed on their card to gain access to the property. The guest will be sent a link by JBL to verify their booking.
Please note that should a guest choose the refundable security deposit, a R47 service fee will be charged by JBL. This fee covers the cost of verifying the booking and ensuring the property's protection. Just Be Lekker aims to provide a secure and reliable booking experience for all guests.
While the security deposit / damage waiver fee will be processed 1 day before check-in, we advise you to complete the JBL verification process as soon as possible to avoid any complications with your booking

LOADSHEDDING / BACK-UP POWER
In the event of a power outage, this property has an inverter that powers the TV, lights, and wifi. There is also a gas stove and 6 emergency lights at the property. Guests are advised to download the ESP app and add Ballito (15) as an area so that they can be up to date with the Loadshedding schedule ahead of their stay.
ZIMBALI BOOKING POLICY (IMPORTANT)
Please read the following information in detail before making a booking.
Zimbali Estate has uncompromising ACCESS CONTROL POLICIES which are very important to understand before making a booking:
*No VISITORS are allowed (only registered guests on the booking form that have produced IDs as per the Zimbali check-in procedure will be provided with access onto the estate).
*No last minute or same day bookings allowed.
*New bookings can be accepted by latest 12pm the day prior to check-in and are conditional on the booking form being completed and sent back to us immediately to avoid access onto the estate being delayed or denied.
*All forms must be submitted to us by latest 12pm the day prior to check-in with all the correct information along with ID copies of all guests 16 years and older in order to gain ACCESS onto the estate.
*It is mandatory to complete all details for persons / vehicles entering the estate, all drivers will be biometrically registered.
*Late form submissions, late additions and/or late changes to a booking (after 12pm the day prior to check-in) will ONLY be processed the following day and guests will need to wait at least 24 hours from this point before they are able to check-in, resulting in access being delayed.
*Any changes to the booking form will attract a late penalty of R350 per change.
*No servitors are allowed, including but not limited to chefs, masseuses, decorators and beauty technicians.
*The accommodation is for short-term residential rentals only. It is not for events, functions, parties, receptions, meetings, commercial use, or guests above the registered number.
*In case of a late check-in after 7pm on Saturdays to Thursdays and 10pm on Fridays, a standard late check-in fee of R750 will apply.
Please understand that the Zimbali Estate Management Association (ZEMA), who are completely independent from Euphoric Leisure, govern and enforce these policies. So please adhere to them to avoid any complications with your access. We'll do our best to assist you in this process but know that we are equally governed by these policies.
Euphoric Leisure is not responsible and will not issue refunds in the event of mistakes, missing information or changes/adjustments submitted by guests which lead to access being delayed/denied. It's the guests' responsibility to ensure all guests' details are correct and submitted on time in accordance with the ZEMA policies.

ZIMBALI UBER/TAXI RULES
*Ubers/Taxis are NOT permitted to transport guests around the estate. It is therefore advised that if guests are not using their own car that they rent a car so they can access the estate facilities (guests can also rent a golf cart for the same purpose).
*Ubers/Taxis can be used for drop-off and collection ONLY. Codes can only be requested between 8am and 4pm each day. Codes expiring due to guests arriving after midnight may result in restricted access to the estate until office hours resume the next day.
*Guests are liable for any fines incurred by their Uber/Taxi driver(s).
*Uber Eats or takeaways are to be collected outside the estate. Zimbali stipulates that no access codes will be issued for food deliveries.

Unit was not prepared for us. It was dirty and dusty. On arrival we were greeted with cobwebs on the entrance door, lizards and spiders and a musty smell … like the unit was not aired for a long time. The gardens and entry ways were unkept. Dead inspects we lying throughout the unit. The pool was not clean. There was also a power outage with no idea of when this will be restored. The unit was not equipped to deal with a power outage. Although there is an inverter it was not charged. Therefore we were without lights and hot water and the host despite our concerns raised left us to our own vices in an unfamiliar unit that has a significant number of stairs with the sun just about to set. We were told although they understand our predicament they are unable to do anything until the next morning relating to the cleaning and the power outage was our problem and so was all the safety issue with having to navigate the apartment in the dark. Shameful behaviour and response to a real problem.
