My wife and son had a fantastic stay at Marta and Enrique's apartment. The location was super and a wonderful base to get out and explore the city. Very central and a real neighbourhood. It is located on a quiet side street and was not noisy at all but certainly there is lots of "salida y movimiento" around. Restaurants, tapas bars, cafes, shops, metro... all at your fingertips. I love walking and the location is great for going to the centres and museums and beyond. The apartment is a very comfortable size and the little balcony is a nice bonus. There is a washing machine but no dryer (this is very typical... there is a rack to dry and the clothes dry well albeit a bit slower). Remember to read the instructions about arrival really well... the gate did not open at first but I think it was just that I did not push it as hard as need be. Communication was great and this is really important! I would definitely stay there again

Excellent hosts, very well organized and very responsive! Super apartment, location in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Self check-in without padlock, very convenient, everything is explained before check-in. On the other hand, it was very cold in the apartment despite the heating being on, bring warm clothes and pyjamas as well as thick socks.

We had a great visit to Madrid and staying at Marta’s place was a part of it. It was pretty and comfortable and we had just what we needed. I always enjoyed coming back after a busy day to relax. The location was convenient and close to what we were doing. Easy walks to get to where we wanted to go. The Metro is also very close, although we chose to walk most of the time. Marta was a great communicator and if we ever had a question, she was quick to respond.

Marta was an excellent host. She stayed in touch throughout our stay and made sure we were comfortable during the visit. The apartment met all of our expectations with all of its amenities. We particularly enjoyed the location and the ability to walk to all the historical sites and great restaurants in the area. Marta asked about ways to improve the experience after we departed for which we thought was thoughtful and clever. One recommendation for Marta to consider and that's to install an air conditioner unit in the second bedroom.

Great Place , awesome neighborhood and great host . I am happy I chose this unit . It’s right in the heart of the La Latina neighborhood. Woke up Sunday morning and there was a whole market going outside. It’s close to the metro. Host provides some great places to eat. They were always responsive to my questions. I may I have glossed over how small the second bedroom was, but we made it work. enjoyed my stay in Madrid and this place was part of the reason.

Very comfortable home! There were two waters waiting for us in the fridge and the hosts were very responsive and proactive in making recommendations. The bathroom is snug but we made everything work. I would stay here again.

Awesome! The apartment is just like the pictures . Everything is very clean and with an excellent location, to walk everywhere or 2 blocks from the metro station. I had a very unpleasant and dangerous experience. On the first day, after entering the apartment, I went to take a shower and when I opened the shower door, after I had showered, the glass screen broke and multiple pieces of glass fell on me, causing me several cuts all over my body. Also, to get out of the bathroom, I had to step on multiple pieces of glass. IT WASN'T AN ACCIDENT. I didn't trip, I didn't hit the screen, I just opened it. I had to be treated and cured of all the cuts, some of which I still have, and I'm still being treated. I had to leave the apartment on the first day and find another emergency accommodation to sleep. And the most curious thing of all is that the next day, when I was no longer at the accommodation, they asked me for 500 euros for the breakage without any responsibility on my part. So my most negative experience couldn't have been.

The accommodation is in a very nice area of Madrid. Very close to many tourist places such as Plaza Mayor, Gran Vía, Palacio, La Almudena, Metro station 3 minutes away. The neighborhood is very Madrid, with restaurants for all tastes, beautiful landscapes and a very safe area! Enjoy El Rastro on Sundays! In addition to the comfort offered by the accommodation. The best thing is Marta's attention is 100/10, very fluid and fast communication!

The window of the small bedroom is loose, which makes it difficult to lower the blind. The region is great with easy access on foot and by Uber. Apartment in the city center. This apartment is well located, in the city center, 10 minutes from Plaza Mayor and various restaurants and shops. At the corner of the street is a grocery store and two minutes away there is a convenient bakery for breakfast. To be in the city center, the neighborhood is pretty quiet. The apartment is functional and is very good for a few days in Madrid. Our host was good tips for restaurants and was also very helpful. We would recommend this listing.

The apartment is conveniently located in the heart of the Latina, an authentic and lively neighborhood: many shops, bars and restaurants; two La Latina metro stations in the immediate vicinity and Tirso de Molina 5 min walk away; old town district and museums within 15-20 minutes walk. First, this apartment has its good side: 1. Location, very convenient for parking and walking. 2. Communication not bad, owners are polite and friendly. 3. Accommodation is well equipped with necessaries. 4. Relatively fare price comparing to other similar accommodations in Madrid. However, the drawbacks of this accommodation are also very apparent: 1. The most worst thing is the hygiene problem. Ants are all over the place and bite me like a ‘puta’. There are very clearly seen dust and filth everywhere. This may be an ancient apartment, almost every equipment in this house is rather really old or malfunctioning, and the owners definitely didn’t pay much effort on it. 2. The owners asked us to bring the trash with us, because, quote “The public trash cans will be taken away in the morning”. This is not a big deal, but I really don’t think it’s fair, with separate maintenance fee paid. 3. Although the location is very convenient, it’s also really noisy at night especially at weekends.

We had a lovely stay at Marta and Enrique’s place in La Latina. The apartment is in a fantastic location and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. There are also two metro stops nearby so you are well equipped to explore the entire city. Martha and Enrique were extremely responsive throughout our stay and provided local restaurant recommendations. The only downside was we found the mattress on the single bed to be uncomfortable.

Great location and spacious enough for three people. However, the apartment seemed unkept - many dishes in the kitchen were dirty (one with lipstick stains, and others with food remains), the couch was stained, the pillows had a noticeable musty smell, and one of my friends got allergies the first night from the apartment/ bedding, lightbulbs were out for one of the overhead lights. Individually these were smaller things but together - it was just one too many issues. Check in was easy, and host made sure all was well. But during check out we were surprised when the cleaning person entered the apartment with her key 15 minutes before checkout - she waited for us outside until we were ready but we obviously felt pressured to leave earlier.

The location of the apartment is excellent, and the hosts were very helpful, quickly responding to all our requests. However, we were in Madrid in February, when temperatures were very low, and unfortunately the heating system was not enough to keep the environment comfortable. Also, there were no extra blankets available, which made the stay even more difficult. We ended up staying just one night and opted to change accommodation due to the cold. Another point to improve is the cleaning, which could be deeper, and the bathroom, which does not fully match the photos. It is very small and needs maintenance.

The place was exactly as described. Had everything that one would need for a short stay. Marta was proactive and responsive. Very clear instructions on how to get in ( we arrived after 8 pm) and was extremely helpful with recommendations with places to eat, and bars to go to. The apartment is very located, we walked everywhere - palace, restaurants and bars all within 15 minutes. Felt at home as soon as we arrived and Marta was constantly in touch to ensure we had an easy access to the apartment. The apartment is small and can at best fit 3. If there is one thing that needs a little attention are the beds. Besides being a small (won’t fit a 180 cm tall person) the single bed was a little old and uncomfortable. Needs to be changed. In all a great place to spend a few days. Marta makes sure you are comfortable.

Marta is an unbeatable host who has been extremely sweet and service minded. She has ordered taxi for us to and from the airport and let us store luggage in the apartment. This location is exquisite for exploring Madrid. Easily accessible to local businesses in the surrounding neighborhood and muni transportation. The apartment was clean, accommodating and cozy. This apartment is perfectly located in La Latina and within walking distance of all the central sights and experiences in Madrid, as well as very close to a metro station. The area is lively and interesting and full of great choices for eating and drinking, shopping and exploring. The flat is a little shabby compared to the pictures if I am honest, but everything worked and it was very secure, clean and warm the whole time (we stayed in November). Importantly, Marta and her colleague were super friendly and proactive - they sent several helpful tips and kept checking we had everything we needed. I had a few questions while we were there and they responded quickly, nothing was too much trouble. Really warm and friendly hosting.

The apartment is located next to La Latina metro station, in a quiet side street, a few walking minutes away from Plaza Mayor. It is very central but also quiet and reserved. The self check-in was fundamental for us because our flight was arriving late, and it worked really well. the apartments main plus is it's location. it really is very central and in easy walking distance to all the local sights. considering how central it is, it's also fairly quiet. there's some noise from street cleaning/bin collection etc so if you are a light sleeper take earplugs. Marta was super helpful and communicative. she made sure we had got into the place before heading to bed herself (as we were delayed arriving) and was always contactable. the apartment is comfortable. it was tidy and clean and had everything needed. overall it felt a little tired and could do with a thorough clean and spruce up, however these are minor things and I would stay again.

Our stay at the apartment was very nice and we enjoyed the time very much. The apartment is as shown and described in the photos. It is located on a quieter side street, yet in the middle of the lively La Latina neighborhood. The floor plan of the apartment is individual and nicer than expected. Unfortunately, the furniture is a bit outdated. But otherwise everything was great. We enjoyed the small balcony every night. All sights are within walking distance. The famous El Rastro flea market starts right outside the door on Sundays. Restaurants, tapas bars, wine bars, shopping are around the corner and Marta has given good recommendations. Marta was always available and eager to meet our requests. She also organized the ride to and from the airport. Madrid is a wonderful city, staying at the Barrio de la Latina is fun. We will definitely be back!

Marta Y Enrique’s place was amazing. We stayed for 3 days over a weekend and it was perfect. The air bnb is within walking distance of many popular tourist attractions and there are local shops/restaurants around the corner in La Latina. There was also a festival both days we were staying there just a 1-3 min walk from our place which made the stay even better. Marta went above and beyond with helpful instructions/guides about the place and we really appreciated it for our first trip to Madrid. If you like the location and being in the heart of the La Latina neighborhood this is the perfect place for you!

The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. It has easy access to the main sights of Madrid and is close to the Tirso de Molina subway, which connects to several other lines. Nearby there are supermarkets, restaurants, bakery bars and a theater. The La Latina district is very busy, but the apartment is quiet. I recommend it.

The location of this apartment was perfect to walk around the bustling neighborhood, visit museums, and take in all the top sites. Marta gave us several suggestions on places to eat too. As some people noted the beds are a bit on the firm side. It took a few nights to get used to the bed.

We LOVED our stay at Marta's place! It was just as beautiful as described and the location can't be beat. It's easily walkable to so many great places and just far enough away from the touristy areas so you get more of a local feeling. Marta was an amazing host - very communicative and proactive and she gave great recommendations. I highly recommend her place and can't wait to come back again! I'd give above 5 stars if I could <3 Another plus is that there is an elevator in the building. Even though it's only one flight up, I WAY overpacked (lesson learned) and it was super helpful. Helpful tip - there is a place to store your bags right around the corner for 5 euro per bag so if you get there early you don't have to lug your bags everywhere. We were beyond thrilled with our stay!!

Flat spacious and well located to explore the city, if you are also looking for privacy. Spotless clean and early check-in also a great plus. Marta was great host, super organised (food suggestions/ house manual, quick to respond etc). However, flat needs care, not so much in terms of decoration in my respect, but in terms of functionality. Heating was not working, only by a/c in living room and we had a hard time as it was very cold during the our stay. Stove and dishwasher also not working properly. We chose Marta’s flat, because of competitive price but also because she is a professional host with few properties and not some huge company, thus we expected apartment to be a bit more looked after. Overall, flat has many great assets, and we had a ‘homely’ stay that could have improved with some work.

We were satisfied with the location, the home looked as in the pictures, it was spacious, clean and Marta was responsive, always checking in to make sure that we were fine. Great restaurants around, flea market on Sunday was just below the flat, live music and performances you can enjoy from the comfort of your balcony. However, since we stayed from Friday to Monday, the flat was a bit noisy from the busy street below (on Fri & Sat) and also neighbours kids running around. It was better on Monday morning, less noisy. The mattresses were comfortable, lots of pillows, good for resting if you aren't a light sleeper like us.

The stay allowed us to enjoy the charm of Madrid. It is easily accessible to drive with public transport, walk down the callecitas to the attractions. There are good food places and supermarkets just meters away. The apartment has all amenities, it is super equipped, warm, spacious. The beds are very comfortable, allow a good rest. Marta was super attentive, suggested good gastronomy and a fluid communication was maintained before the queries we made. Highly recommended place if you are in Madrid.

This place has a great location, and it was easy to get to most of the important landmarks we wanted to visit. The unit itself is plain but delivers whats needed. The parking options for this location are quite expensive - which would be the case for any Airbnb in this area, but a warning to travellers that you will be spending around $30-40 Euro per day for parking. There is a corner store half a block away for essentials and a larger grocery store with almost anything you could want 2 blocks away. We had trouble with the door (our fault) for not reading the instructions carefully. You need to ring/push the unit button on the intercom before you try to unlock the front door with the app.

The apartment has an amazing location right in the heart of the city, with absolutely everything you may need or want within a few minutes' walk. Metro station right around the corner, buses nearby and all the major highlights of Madrid city center reachable by a short(er) walk. Check-in was very easy and flexible, there was only one physical key, but we were able to use the online app to manage the door very conveniently. The apartment was clean, quite spacious and had everything we expected and needed, except for stable Wi-Fi internet connection. Unfortunately, we were working remotely while staying in the apartment and the internet connection kept breaking up all the time during our stay. We reported the issue immediately to the hosts but didn't get a response and just ended up using our mobile data whenever the connection would break. Also, Wi-Fi coverage in the apartment is not great, as both bedrooms barely have any signal. Apart from Wi-Fi issues, highly recommended.

The flat was great, the high point was the location, just around the main points, close to restaurants bars, lockers, bakeries, all you need in 5-10 min walking. The place was super clean and well-equiped. Not easy to get in, but Marta was ready to quickly jump to help. In the end, all worked well. I recommend 100%

Marta's apartment was perfectly located close to many great restaurants and a few hundred metres from the La Latina metro stop. A convenience store and a bread/pastry shop around the corner made for easy shopping to buy essential items. While being close to the lively evening atmosphere, the street was exceptionally quiet. I will definitely look to stay at Marta's apartment again.

Marta and Enrique’s place is located in a quiet alley of La Latina, with great restaurants, shops and grocery stores around. We can easily walk to most of the sites we like to visit. The apartment is spacious and super comfortable. On the last night we had an issue with electricity, and they helped us resolve it in very kind ways. Would definite come back!

Marta's apartment is very cozy and it is very central, we did everything on foot. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars next door and even if the neighborhood is lively, the apartment is really quiet. The bedrooms are small but very comfortable and the sofa is very convenient. There were 4 of us with the kids and there was enough room for everyone. Marta was always super nice. In short, we loved it! If you want to spend a few days in Madrid, this is the place!

Marta was very helpful when we needed assistance. Also the recommendation for restaurants was excellent. On a couple of days there was a bit of a heatwave and the air conditioner worked great. The living room was comfortable and we were able to relax and here some of the. Another benefit there were lots of small markets, Metro and cafes nearby. We were less then a mile from a couple of nice plazas. It took us about a day and a half to learn our way around the town. However there was a little confusion when we arrived there was no markings on the apartment door. We were looking for apartment A the other doors were marked B and C so we were assuming the one door not marked was ours.

Wow! The location was perfect. We walked to all the attractions in Madrid. Super convenient and easy to navigate the roads with Apple maps. The street was peaceful, not much traffic. I felt safe with 2 locked security doors before entering the stairwell. The apartment was relaxing and very clean. I appreciate the hot water pot for tea. Marta is a friendly, kind, and helpful host. It was a lovely stay in Madrid!

At first glance the apartment seems cozy but be CAREFUL: one-person mattresses were extremely dirty especially one of them full of urine and mold, the second also had mold stains. It was when we turned over the mattresses that we noticed their catastrophic condition. In addition, the blankets were so dirty that they were YELLOW, one of them had a blood stain that I had to wash, some cushions are either moldy or yellow. It is not normal to provide bedding in such a state. In addition, the ladder of the bunk bed is broken so dangerous bed without any side safety bars! As a result, my children couldn't sleep there. It's cold despite the 25 ° heating! The host entered the apartment in our absence without notifying me beforehand, in order to control the temperature but it was still as cold! However, the rest is rather correct and the apartment is well located.

Marta's apartment is liveable, but not enjoyable. It desperately needs an update and an upgrade. The place smells musty. Several easily-fixable things are broken (toilet seat, kitchen garbage can, burned-out lightbulbs). The windows are very thin and drafty, so the place is chilly in the winter and you can hear any noise from the street. The bare floors are especially cold, adding a few rugs would be nice. The Wifi drops constantly, several times an hour, making it hard to work. There's a little TV, but it doesn't face the couch, so you can't really use it. My girlfriend and I stayed here for almost 2 weeks, and did not enjoy the apartment.

The apartment is in a fantastic location amongst the side and back streets of La Latina, with fun local bars (packed with locals and tourists). You can walk to all central sights from here. We found the apartment nice and quiet and lovely and warm (and we could adjust the thermostat)- important given the winter weather! Marta was extremely proactive with communication and very fast to answer questions and offer any advice and help. The apartment was very clean but the decor whilst bright is a little tired. I also thought the request to clean the kitchen if you used it highly unusual given you pay for cleaning through Air BnB. I would still recommend this as a good place to stay.

Marta and Enrique’s place was fantastic, a lovely apartment in a vibrant area of the city! I had the pleasure of running into Marta on my way out to explore one day and she happened to be returning to the building. She was so helpful in offering recommendations for great places nearby to eat or socialize! I saw some reviews say the place was on a quiet side street and some say it was on a busy thoroughfare. I’d say the reality is somewhere in between! The place is on Calle de López Silva, just off of Calle de Toledo. Toledo is a busy thoroughfare, with lots of shops, restaurants, nightlife and public transportation, but López Silva is less traveled, so my experience was that I heard a little street noise from Toledo, but it was muffled since it was a block away, and it didn’t in any way disturb my sleep or relaxation. I thought it was nice! You’re in a big city, after all, so it would be eerie for it to be too quiet, I think. I couldn’t recommend Marta and Enrique’s apartment enough! Thank you both!

Lovely place with all the amenities, right in the heart of the city. It is cam also be noisy since it is a first floor (second for Americans) in one of the busiest parts of the city especially in the summer and if your stay coincides with the weekend. The previous reviews said that the despite being in a fun, lively area the apartment was quiet. We heard music from all rooms of the apartment until the middle of the night. Even with the air conditioning on the music was still loud. The apartment is a great place to stay to enjoy the night life, but wasn’t ideal with kids.

Marta's apartment matches her description.We had a lovely stay with the family. Very central, close to everything and strong point, it overlooks a quiet street at night😊. Very convenient when traveling with young children. Marta is quite responsive by message; she even arranged taxis for us to and from the airport. We were able to do everything on foot from this apartment but in case the metro is less than 5 minutes walk. Around the apartment there's absolutely everything: restaurants, metro, grocery stores, mini-markets, cafes, buses... I have no regrets about my choice!

We had an exceptional stay at Marta's apartment which was tastefully decorated and spacious. We stayed 3 months in here and it was a really pleasant experience. The apartment is very well placed, close to 2 metro stations, having a lot of attractions in the neighborhood, but being located on a pretty quiet street. The interior is clean, confortable and well equipped as well. Also, Marta was a very kind and prompt landlord, so whenever we had a problem or something to ask the response was really quick.

We had a one week long stay in this flat, a vibrant part of town. It is very conveniently located near transports also easy to get around on foot. The size of the flat was perfect for us, we were 3 people. Having a kitchen and dining area were great for having our breakfast (several bakeries round the corner). The toilet and shower are in the same room. There was also a little balcony to stand on and enjoy your morning cuppa. Thank you Martha for a nice stay!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, the kitchen modern and fully equipped, the beds wonderfully comfortable and the location unbeatable for experiencing the vibrant districts of Madrid (Centro, La Latina, and Lavapies.) It is half a block from the Rastro (Saturday and Sunday flea market), a block and a half from the city market, and less than three blocks from the Calles Alta and Baja Cavas with their countless restaurants and tapas bars. The street can sometimes get noisy, but for the greater part of most nights it is relatively quiet. We had no trouble sleeping. Marta is a great host and you can count on her to help you in any way she can during your stay.

I sent message to her, and she said she has some enmergency ask me to have sth eat around the house, me and my friends dragging the big luggages to a bar, we ordered food and drinks, then owner said she will be there in 5 minuts, then we canceled the order, walk all the way back with all the luggages....and wait for another 45 minutes....owner has no apologize and no further communication, very very very bad experience. 飞了15个多小时以后我和我朋友带着三个大箱子在门口等了房东一个多小时，我到达的时候是3点整，他发消息给我说有急事要走，其实当时我们已经在门口了，但是没有看到她。然后我给她发了几个消息都没有回复，过了半个小时她说你们去吃点东西等我，于是我们拽着三个大箱子在西班牙这种大上坡大下坡的路上走到一个餐馆，饥肠辘辘的点了饮料和海鲜饭，房东发消息说五分钟之内回来，我们取消了点餐，着急忙慌的拉着三个大箱子爬着坡又走回来，然后呢？在门口又等了45分钟。房东来的时候说我2点就在这等你到三点，我说首先你没有告诉我你在等我你就说你等了我一个小时这是什么道理？而且你明明就是3点以后check in，第二，前面不说，就光说你五分钟之内到变成45分钟就够我给你差评的！后来房东也没有道歉，所以就不会有以后了，差评！

Marta's apartment is beautiful, super clean, well arranged (super modern bathrooms and kitchen), super well located in the center of La Latina (next to the Rastro!) but located in a part where the noise of bars or cars does not arrive. This is by far my best experience with an airbnb. Marta was a charm, super worried about telling us everything about the neighborhood, giving us tips and telling stories.

Marta’s apartment is very spacious and close to major tourist attractions whether by foot or metro. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and a small grocery just around the corner. I loved being able to go out on the balcony and sit or look up and down the street. And after a day out in the hot sun it was nice to come back to air conditioning ! We had a great time and I would stay again! Thank you again for your hospitality!

A very stylish apartment - just the right size for 3 good friends (2 sharing in bunk beds in one bedroom and 3rd person in the other double bedroom). The location is fantastic - everything we wanted was within walking distance (from 5-25 mins). The apartment is very clean and the decor is gorgeous. The host who met us gave us some very nice local tips on bars/restaurants to go to and ensured we were WiFi connected and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet (room overlooking an inner courtyard) and ideally located (Latina district, 10 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor, 15 minutes from the puerta del Sol), the apartment allowed us to enjoy Madrid by metro (La Latina station less than 5 minutes away). We highly recommend this place ideally equipped for 4 (only one shower toilet).

Great position, walk everywhere or two Metro stations very near (La Latina and Tirso de Molina). Heaps of bars and restaurants in area and a market (Cebada) too, as well as shops and supermarkets. Lisi, who checked us in also gave us some great restaurant tips and took us to a nice market (San Augustin) where we had tapas on the first day. Thanks Lisi!

I stayed here with my brother for five nights, and I'm very happy with the experience. Marta and Lisi were very responsive, gave me great recommendations on local things to check out, and it was a pleasure to stay there. It was an easy train ride from the airport, and walking distance to tons of good things. Bonus points for having literally three different coffee makers in the kitchen. I'd definitely stay here again. Side note: if you haven't heard, La Latina can get a little loud at night sometimes. Bring earplugs for sleep and this will not be a problem.

This was a great location in the La Latina historic section of Madrid. The benefits were a secure building with double doors, an elevator, and air conditioning. It’s on floor 1 which is like the second floor to most Americans. The decor is modern and comfortable while the view of the small street is just off a busy road close to the action and still urban scenic and quiet. Everything was above average for our 8-9 places we stayed over two weeks traveling around Spain!

Location was one of the best of Madrid: very nice restaurants and bars nearby and the best coffee shop ever! The location of this property is fantastic- so central and accessible, with the Sunday market right on the doorstep! The balcony provides a great opportunity to people watch with a book and a glass of wine. Despite its central location the property is safe, secure and quiet at night. There are amazing tapas bars nearby and so many landmarks/attractions are within easy walking distance. The big plus is the location in La Latina neighborhood, very close to the metro and lots of nice places. Unfortunately, there are a few minus points which can probably be easily fixed. - Bugs in the apartment - Dust in the hallway wardrobe - Persistent stale smell in the bedroom - High noise level: from the street (bedroom is at the first floor, facing the street), from construction site nearby, from the central heating unit and the room heaters, and from the neighbors (thin walls) On top of this, when we checked-in a co-host asked us to take pictures of our passports (we agreed but this never happened to us on AirBnB).

We had a lovely time in Madrid. The apartment was exactly what we saw in the pictures. It was very comfortable and decorated with so much taste. The area was perfect located for what we were looking for. We could walk all the central area and for the far places the metro station was just in the corner. It is a calm neiborhood you can sleep at night without noise. Marta and Patricia were the best, they explain everything and gave us some valuable recomendations. The flat is in an ideal location in La Latina. Many things to do and see are within easy walking distance and close by public transportation is available if desired. Communication was excellent before and during our stay. The flat is very nice and has air conditioning, which was much appreciated since we stayed during a time of hot weather. There is a street market every Sunday just one block away; a nice surprise during our stay. We loved the variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Would not have rented this apartment if host had informed us of construction project tsking place during our stay. We couldn't be in the apartment for most of the day because of noise and dust raised by the work. Still coughing from all the dust hoping it wasn't toxic. Loud slamming gate under main bedroom startles you awake at night and the neighborhood, although close to the nicer areas of la latina, feels creepy and run down. Living room couch is hard as a wooden bench so not a cozy place to relax and enjoy the one cool room. Bedrooms do not have a.c. so if it's hot outside like it was for our visit you will be uncomfortable. The main bedroom mattress is awful. You sink into the spot where you are lying and have to crawl out of the hole to turn over. Terrible nights sleep. Dishwasher and television didn't work but perhaps have been repaired. Guilt laced pod coffee maker means that if you can find the little pods you feel like a planet raper for making a cup of joe. Good points are that it's a bright apartment with attractive furnishings near a nice neighborhood.

The flat was exactly as described. Well kept and clean. We had no problems with wifi and AC worked perfectly fine. We didn't hear any noises from neighbors during our stay. We were a family of two adults and two children, comfortable and well located. Two streets from metro and a few blocks from many restaurants . Patricia was waiting for us when we arrived and available when needed. She explained how to get around and places to visit. She was very welcoming and lovely Definitely will recommend this flat. We completed our stay with mixed experiences . From booking, communication , check in - all went well . House is located 7 mins from plaza mayor , plenty of shops near by , eateries and tapas . Most of the places & gran via are within 20 mins walk . The house is on the first floor with elevator access. Clean , Beautifully decorated , well equipped , washing machine , dishwasher , induction cooking range and coffee machine ( you will need nespresso refills ) . However , on check in , certain issues got us to rethink our choice . There was only one split aircon in the living room , no aircon in either of the bedrooms, no central aircon . Her listing however stated "AC " with no specifications . Upon asking the host she said this is how the other flats in the area work . We also asked her to show us how the oven grill works (which was dirty from prior use ) , she said she didn't know. Frankly we were quite disappointed , however decided to stay on . We have stayed in quite a few Airbnb's prior to this, and we have never faced such situations . So my advice to fellow travellers , check all details on the listing and confirm with host before booking an Airbnb , so that you are not disappointed .

Exelent location, close to everything. La Latina is famous part of Madrid, full with shops, bars, restaurants. Metro stations is just behind the corner. The house is well located, near the metro. It was so kind of the household for picking us up at a place nearby the underground station. The house has amazing decorations. The wifi and other facilities are all perfect. The kitchen is also very nice with the laundry. The only inconvenient thing is that there is no laundry detergent left. Definitely location is the strongest of this apartment. Just walking distance from every interesting places such as plaza del sol, plaza mayor, San Miguel market, la cebada market, El Rastro, calle de Argumosa (full of bars). La Latina metro station is 2 blocks away. The weakest part is the bed of the main bedroom. If you are staying 5 nights or more, like us with Children, you will find that bed uncomfortable after a whole day out walking. I would suggest Marta to change this bed for a better quality one, mattress needs to be improved. You literally sink and your back would never stay straight to rest. As far as 2nd bedroom is concerned, the upper bed needs protection against possible kids falling, as it only has a ladder to go up but it just doesn't turn into a protection for those kids that are not used to bunk beds and may roll at night. Toaster burns bread. Corkscrew broken, no wine glasses, Internet access is such a pain as signal keeps going out permanently. There is only one duvet for each bed, extra blanket would be proper if you are using the sofa bed in the living room or if your kids just feel cold. The area is full of restaurants that offer delivery or you can just order and take away.

The place was absolutely great and corresponded exactly to the description: great amenities, cozy, central location and clean! Perfect for 2-3 people! More people can also sleep in the apartment, only then it will be a little cramped. The key handover was not a problem at all and Marta was always quickly available for questions during the stay e.g. for check-out. We felt very comfortable in the apartment. The location is of course very central, metro station 2 minutes away, sights within easy walking distance and the rastro takes place almost on the doorstep on Sundays :-)

We were on a 17 day trip around Europe and in all countries/cities, we used AirBnb, Marta was the only Host who waited for us personally (the other hosts always sent someone else) and gave us keys and very kindly showed us the apartment, he gave us a map of the area showing us the main attractions of the city, which was very valuable, I also recommend places to eat and was very nice to chat with her. Communication was always very good and on time and although we only stayed one night in her apartment, we really enjoyed the stay and the time she dedicated to us. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and full of light, the spaces are enough for 4 people, the kitchen is spacious, and with basic utensils in perfect condition. Living/dining room full of natural light, quite cosy. The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the historic center, it has all the facilities nearby. It doesn't need anything. Totally recommended. Marta has the well-deserved Super Host Title.

We loved Marta's apartment! It is conveniently located at one of the pedestrian streets of La Latina. It's true charm happens when you're there on a Sunday when the flea market is open. It makes you feel like a local. The metro station is a short walk as well as the grocery and many restaurants. Marta is the best. She easily adjusted to accommodate our preferred check in and check out times. She welcomed us into the apartment and patiently gave us tips to make us feel like a resident of the area. Thank you Marta for your recommendations at Cava Baja. The apartment can comfortably fit 3 persons and was very homey. All the appliances were easy to use. I will definitely come back to this apartment when I find myself in Madrid again.

Nice apartment, very good location very close to Gran via, in August little bit warm since there is only one AC in the living room, Marta was a very good host with a good communication, she showed my wife and daughter where to shop and eat. Over all experience is great

The accommodation is very pleasant, well-equipped and in a good location (many restaurants nearby, easy access to the main sites of visit) and yet very quiet (small street with little traffic). Marta was away during our stay but one of her friends was there to open the apartment and provide us with the necessary information.

Marta was an excellent host! He even went to the metro station to give us a hand!! When we arrived at the apartment she kindly explained what to do in Madrid, where to go to eat, the areas, etc. The apartment is beautiful! All new, tastefully decorated and very comfortable in terms of layout. We were 4 adults and a girl of almost 3 years and it was perfect. The location gets all the stars!!!! We recommend it for all those who want a nice visit to Madrid!

A new, modern, comfortable and practical accommodation. The perfect location, in the traditional neighbourhood of La Latina, on Sunday you have El Rastro when you go down to the street. The hosts are very friendly and friendly. They recommended places in the nearby Plaza del Cascorro or how to get around. The best thing was the great attention we received when we left the apartment in the afternoon, as our return train was leaving late. I definitely recommend it. Thank you for making our stay in Madrid unbeatable.
