Great location, barebones apt needs maintenance The apt is 80m from Plaza Mayor, great location, most of central Madrid is within walking distance. The hosts are very responsive. Locating the place for the first time is a little tricky as the address isn't accurate, there is no building number and no apt number. This may be for privacy, but it made me nervous that I didn't know exactly where I was going. The apt is well sized but need a serious overhaul. I can understand it isn't worth it for the owners, maybe they can't increase charges sufficiently to cover the cost. It feels like the apt is being run to the ground, thankfully we came half way through. A real shame, as it could be a gem of a place in a killer location.

The location of Marta’s apartment in Madrid couldn’t have been better, right in the middle of Plaza Mayor, several restaurants and supermarkets nearby and also easy access to the Metro station. The apartment was more spacious than I thought, cozy and comfortable - we felt right at home. The apartment had all the amenities one may need. I would highly recommend Marta’s place for anyone visiting Madrid. Two thumbs up!

Very well located apartment, 50m from Plaza Major, ideal for getting around and exploring on foot or by metro. Communication with the owner was very smooth and fast. Quiet apartment, a nice size with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, it deserves to be refreshed (wear and tear on the floor, furniture, etc., blinds in the bedrooms do not block out the light) and to be better supplied with dishes (limited amount of cutlery), and kitchen utensils if you plan to cook for several people.

Marta and Enrique’s apartment was great for our weekend trip in Madrid. It is located right at Plaza Mayor, great location (but not super quiet if you are sensitive to noise during the night). The place is really big, perfect for a group of four friends! We could leave a backups and check in before 16, which was truly appreciated! Also we received many local recommendation! The location of the accommodation was close to the station and tram, and it was good for visiting various historic sites in Madrid. The accommodation was cleanly maintained, and the tableware and cooking utensils were very well equipped. It was on the second floor, so it was not difficult to move my luggage. If you're looking for a place to stay for a family or group, this is a great place to stay. It was a pleasure to stay here.

Marta was very communicative and always attentive to how we were feeling in the apartment. Thank you for being so attentive throughout our stay. We were very comfortable in the apartment. The main square is just a minute away, and the restaurants and bars are always open at night. This apartment is super central, and everything is very close by. The only thing is that the nightlife on the streets can be a bit noisy when trying to sleep, but nothing that a good pair of earplugs can't fix.

Ok. Let's start from most important one - LOCATION! It is amazing! Just next to Plaza Major. Really, as soon as you open a door - you are just one step (no exaggerations) from center of wonderful and mazing Madrid. Yes. It is loud. It is busy BUT is unbelievable experience. My kids went ballistic when they open a window and step out on small balcony to see crowd of people traveling bellow. I understand, it may be not everyone's cup of tea, but our family, we had a such wonderful time staying there. Super easy to get to. Marta Y Enrique provided clear instructions which includes even small video, which is btw very helpful, ho to get inside. Everything was as they described in listing. Great communications. Lots of useful suggestion. I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience a city live in Madrid.

I absolutely loved staying in this Airbnb property in Madrid. Not only was it charming, clean and very spacious, but its location was unbeatable! It’s located in the beautiful Madrid de los Austrias area!. We were within walking distance to so many popular tourist attractions! The Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol are located within a quick and easy walking distance! Other spots like Gran Via, Cibeles, the Retiro park and the Prado museum, were easily accessible on foot, making it easy to explore the city. But what really made our stay special was Marta’s and Enrique’s exceptional customer service. They provided us with helpful tips and recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable. The apartment itself was very charming, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the fresh clean towels they provided. Very close to the palace in the lively city center. There are no mobile phones around.In the middle of the night, there are inevitably people coming home late and making noise.Overall sleep is not affected.The kitchen is tidy and fully equipped.It is also possible to make Chinese food. There is a supermarket similar to Dia Tianyang downstairs. Very friendly.

The location is great, right outside of Plaza Mayor...but given the location it is very loud as the windows are thin. But it is only the front bedroom where you need a noise machine or ear plugs to drown out the late night partiers. The other two back bedrooms are quiet. Marta was great to communicate with, replied very quickly. We found everything to be in good working order. The only thing that was less than perfect was the condition of the apartment, it shows signs of wear, as another reviewer had noted, but everything is clean and again in good working order. And we used it all, the fridge, the oven, the microwave, the dishwasher and the washer! We enjoyed our stay, and the value for dollar was very good.

The location was the primary reason we picked this airbnb. It was so close to the plaza and walk-able to most of the destinations we were heading to! Overall we would likely stay here again if we visited Madrid. The kitchen was spacious. The dining room table was nice. The living room was comfortable and had enough seating for all 7 of us. The showers had plenty of hot water and great pressure. There were fans available in each room. The balconies and windows provided good airflow. The exterior door took a lot of force to open. Only 1 of the bedrooms had air conditioning, it would have been nice if all 3 had air conditioning. There were only enough towels for each of us. So if you like extra towels I would consider bring extra for your hands & doing dishes.

It's a fairly spacious apartment, a privileged location, it has everything you need... we just had a heat wave in Madrid that was quite strong and the air in the living room and the master bedroom was not enough for the other 2 bedrooms but they left us several fans that helped my children with the heat a lot, the hosts were quite attentive, I loved the place, I would definitely return!! I definitely recommend it!

The place’s location can not be better 10 stars, a lot of Madrid Points of Interest close by. The host was very responsive and gave us clear instructions from the beginning. The house as overall was good; the only big caveat was the HVAC ( Air Conditioner) it is only in the living room and one Room out of three; the rest of Rooms only have fanes; so we suggested to the owner to specify it in the description. For the rest it was an amazing stay with some minor details that can be fixable.

Marta Y Enrique were fabulous hosts. They were always quick to respond to any questions, provide great suggestions and even booked our taxi for us. The location of their home in Madrid is a 10/10. It’s located in a perfect location for you to walk to all sights and really see and experience Madrid. My family of 5 had a great experience and my teen age kids were able to walk to sights and the shopping districts on their own bc it was so close and safe. Their home is also very spacious so we had lots of space to spread out and enjoy ourselves when in the home. I highly recommended staying here and we would definitely return. Also, their home is situated above the oldest restaurant and barber in the world which was very cool!

I've never done a bad review, but I think this is the one time it deserves it. I can't complain about the host communication, they sent recommendations on places nearby, and the house location is unbeatable. It should be advertised that not all rooms have AC, they have small fans in the rooms that don't have it. The house needs maintenance, on one ceiling there is a huge stain that needs some work done. Around 5 days after our check out, I received a message from the host asking for $58 for 2 fans that we "broke" and turns out, those fans were never used or seen during our stay. So for the price paid, I wouldn't recommend staying there.

Marta and Enrique were delightful hosts. Super communicative and friendly, and made us feel very welcome to the neighborhood. The space is large, and did not make the 4 of us feel cramped or on top of each other. The location is 10/10, just a few blocks from both the Sol and Tirso train stations. As New Yorkers, the air conditioning left some to be desired. But bonus note that the hot water and pressure exceeded our expectations for Europe. Would definitely recommend!!

The location and apartment was great. Right next to Plaza Mayor and a food market. Tons to do right outside. Our main issue was not having hot water for the majority of our stay, which made showering a pain because the water was freezing. They did allow us to shower at a nearby Airbnb they had to mitigate the inconvenience though.

The apartment was very spaciously furnished for 7 people and clean (the only flaw were the drains in the bathrooms, which were slowly draining). The location directly at Plaza Mayor is perfectly located, the Gran Via is a 5-minute walk away. The communication was very proactive and I always received a quick response. I would book it again:)

Location is perfect and the apartment was super convenient. The hosts were extremely available and responded within minutes in most cases. Since the apartment is at the heart of Madrid center, it can get quite loud at night, till early morning (specifically, just one of the bedrooms) but it didn’t bother our sleep. I just think the lack of elevators should be better warned . For me , who am elderly , it was very bad to go up and down 3 flights of stairs , carrying the bags . The garbage issue is also a problem because it needs to be put on the eve of the night , but I think this is a determination of the local town hall

Marta was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The location is great, with easy access to Plaza Mayor, Plaza Del Sol, the metro and key points in the city. The space is large for a city apartment, with a very large master suite, and having two bathrooms was helpful. 6 adults and an infant were able to spend a week together, without too much difficulty. No elevator, but the stairs are easily manageable. Literally at the entrance to Plaza Mayor, so it’s not “quiet and secluded” but given that you’re in the heart of the old city, the noise isn’t bad at all…and it’s part of the fun. Great option for exploring Madrid, with multiple metro stops within 5 min walk. Would visit again.

Unbeatable location and owners very responsive trying to help us w/the wifi connection problems we had. Provided us with a solution for our stay. However there were couple of things that could be improved (some of them very simple)… washer is not a combo so we had to dry the clothes on the chairs - not good at all. Very small TV (good option of channels though). No paper towels, no coffee, no DW pods, hangers of every style and quality (including several very flimsy store style). They should upgrade the coffee maker to a nespresso or give both options.

The accommodation is very central, to walk through the walking landmarks. The apartment is large and comfortable. Exactly as in the pictures. We were in 5 adults and it was a very quiet experience, spacious rooms with small closet, clean bathrooms, clean towels, hot shower and good flow, the kitchen had all the utensils needed for meals, a large table in the dining room and a comfortable living room space. Marta was extremely kind and helped us a lot. For the first access to the entrance of the building and apartment, you need to have internet on the phone (important information for those who do not usually buy international internet chip). We recommend your stay and we'll be back if we're traveling with family or friends.

If you want to be in the heart of Plaza Mayor, then look no further. A short walk to Sol metro and for those who enjoy walking approx 35 mins to El Retiro Park The photos of the apartment are accurate and comfortably housed 5 adults for 5 days. Make sure you have data roaming as you will need for e-entramce to apartment (something I have not seen/experienced). The hosts were excellent at communicating and providing local suggestions. If you are a light sleeper, then let your co travellers have the main bedroom as it can be a little noisy on weekends given several restaurants located in the street below. Would recommend/stay again.

The best feature is the location. Unbeatable. A short walk from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, full of restaurants, shops of all kinds and entertainment, this was a big plus. The house is equipped and very clean. Unfortunately, we had problems with the air conditioning that is only present in one bedroom, in the other two there is no and even in one room there is not even the possibility of opening the window because it is sealed (there is not even the handle), not even allowing us a healthy replacement of air in the morning. In the second room, on the other hand, the window is present, but it only opens to vasistas and overlooks the cave where there are some air conditioners and only produce hot air, so nothing fresh. There are fans, but I think this should be specified in the listing. For the rest, we are satisfied, the door opening with a key-free app is very convenient and we appreciated the fact that we didn't have to bring keys next

Marta was very helpful and very communicative and responsive. The apartment was as expected with only 3 little hiccups: first the AC that is not present in all the rooms which means that in summer you are very hot even with the fans on. The second was one of the bed that wasn't really clean (hair on the bed) and also very old sheets. Finally, we needed to iron our clothes for a wedding and the iron table was broken. Otherwise, all good especially the location that is great!

This is an amazing apartment in a very central location, just a 1-minute walk to Mayor’s Plaza. It's incredibly spacious, with three large bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a big living room, a large dining room, and a kitchen. The apartment has been upgraded to a modern appearance and is tastefully decorated. Marta and her team were very thoughtful, allowing us to check in early and always being responsive to our needs. The apartment uses an app/digital key for entry, but they also provide a physical key inside the apartment, which we found super convenient given our spotty cell phone connection in Spain. We are a family of five, and we will definitely stay in this apartment again when we visit Madrid in the future.

This apartment is right on Plaza Mayor and so central and walkable to everything in Madrid. It is great for families, particularly with the bedrooms and number of beds. It is in one of the oldest parts of Nadrid, so the apartment will give you the feeling of being part of the neighborhood. It has all the amenities plus next door to a place to buy bottled water and snacks. Two blocks d own is a supermarket. There is a lot of noise and bustle as you are in one of the most popular places in Madrid or tourists and locals. The two back bedrooms, one a queen, and the other 3 singles are very quiet. We found the Master bedroom quiet when we closed the windows with the air-conditioning on. Most of the time, we were out and about ourselves enjoying Madrid at night with everyone else. If four star hotels are your preference, this is not the place for you. If bring a Madrileno for your stay, this is a great place. This apartment is in one of the oldest parts of Madrid, so don't be put off by the outside. Inside is modern and beautifully decorated. It is smaller than pictures look but pristine with everything handily placed. It is literally a few steps from Plaza Mayor, restaurants, taxis, bars, anything you want to see and do. Entry is now super locks operated by technology. The owners will come to your rescue if you can't figure it out. If noise bothers you, probably not the best place for you since it is so close to a tourist hot spot. Two bedrooms are on the inside, and the front bedroom windows when closed, do shut out most of the noise. The fact we are holding our booking for our return trip to Madrid tells you how happy we were with the accommodation.

Pros: - Location, location, location. Literally a half block from Plaza Mayor and a short walk to Malasana, Chueca, Gran Via, Lavapies, etc. Could not ask for a better location. - Responsive host. Responded quickly via Airbnb app and through messaging. - Clean, roomy Cons: - Interesting master bedroom design, situated right next to living room so not much privacy if that is needed. - air conditioning units are extremely weak. Might be a concern during summer months. Place got stuffy at times - front door is extremely fidgety. Was at times tough to open both remotely and with key. Made check-in weird as there was about a five minute delay between the remote unlock and the door actually unlocking. Didn't know if we were at the right place. All in all though, would definitely stay again.

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 4-6-8). Super convenient location 30 meters from Plaza Mayor, the epicenter of Madrid. Neighborhood obviously a little noisy, but it's part of the bustling life in the center of Madrid. The noise didn't bother us or our kids. Contact with Marta very efficient, no problem, everything worked very well. We can only recommend this place, great in every way!

Marta's attention was excellent at all times, she was always attentive to every detail and we had a great time in the apartment, spacious and super well located a few steps from Plaza Mayor and tourist places, we were very comfortable and happy in the place. On a positive note, Marta was very responsive when we booked and leading up to check in. Unfortunately, we had problems finding the location, and Marta was hard to reach. More importantly, the apartment had bugs and suspected mold that we could not tolerate. We killed several flying insects within the first 10 minutes, and my son, who does not otherwise have allergies, started having an allergic reaction within the first few minutes. We could not stay in the apartment under those conditions and decided to leave. Although we told the host we were leaving the same night we checked in, she was not willing to return any portion of our payment. Fortunately, AirBNB offered us a refund. The host may describe the apartment as having character. The host will not tell you about the bugs or the suspected mold in the apartment. Also, the pictures of the apartment do not show the entry, which is dirty and kind of scary.

I recently stayed at Marta's place and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from Plaza Mayor and conveniently close to a non-stop Five Guys. The place itself is spacious and tidy, perfect for a big group of friends. Marta was incredibly accommodating and responsive, even helping us book a taxi to the airport. However, be prepared for some noise due to its proximity to a busy area and road. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a comfortable stay in a prime location, Marta's Airbnb is a great choice.

Marta was an amazing and responsive host. The location of the place was so much better than anticipated - it was only a few steps up to the Plaza Mayor, and with tons of restaurants and the food market nearby. We also had access to a convenience store. We didn't have any issues with noise from the streets below, despite being such a busy tourist area. The place itself was as described, and the only thing was that the room with 3 beds was a little stuffy at times depending on weather. Other things to note is that there were 7 of us staying together, but we only had 1 key to share as well as *just enough* toilet paper was provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, it was well worth its praises, and great for groups who are looking to stay somewhere close to tourist areas and for exploring Madrid. Marta also gave a lot of recommendations for places to eat, and was always quick to reply. She was flexible when we needed to leave our luggage at the Airbnb before check-in too.

Our group of 7 (adults and children) recently spent 2 weeks in Marta's lovely flat. The location is perfect, the space is well laid out and accommodates large groups well, and the kitchen is very well supplied! We really did love it! It might be helpful for others to know the following: 1) If you go in summer, it might be hot. Only 1 bedroom and the lounge have AC's. The 'red' bedroom has a window that you can crack open and the bedroom with 3 beds has no airflow as it opens directly into the red bedroom and has no functioning windows. There were 2 small fans and 1 large fan. Between the fans, windows, and the lounge AC, it was only a little stuffy, but we went in September. 2) It is difficult to find the flat from where you pick up keys as Maps takes you a long way and it was hard with hand luggage. A pdf map from Marta would be super helpful. 3) Instructions on operating the washer, how to return keys, etc, would be nice, but Marta was quick to respond either way.

If you are looking to spend a few days in Madrid, Marta and Enrique’s place is ideal. We are a family of five and we all felt very comfortable in the flat. Everything was nearby and it was lovely to be able to be a few steps away from Plaza Mayor and Cava Baja, where all the amazing tapas spots are. The AC was perfect for these hot summer days. This apartment was very nice, the rooms are spacious and the flat was clean. The location is unbeatable, right next to Plaza Mayor. The only issue was around midnight someone came around to the flat claiming we were making noise. We were actually ASLEEP (as we were in Madrid for work) and this person woke us up. The following evening we were bothered again by the same person claiming we were making noise again. This was untrue and uncalled for. Moreover, they actually bothered us as we were sleeping! I understand someone from the building was complaining of notice to the owner of the flat but to be accused TWICE of noise was unreasonable and untrue. This was a nuisance for us.

Excellent location, spacious, and good communication with the hosts. The hosts were very kind and attentive, which is very important for a family vacation. They even helped coordinate our pick-up from the airport. With regard to the property, there are a few things worth mentioning. The property lacks an elevator (not a big deal), and two of the rooms don't have air conditioning (since our stay was in July and the temperature was extremely high, that's something we would have liked to know beforehand). Also, the master bedroom shower had some issues. But overall it's a good property to consider if you're visiting Madrid and want to be in a comfortable apartment with an excellent location.

Marta was a great host and super responsive. This place is ALL about the location. You are literally steps from Plaza Mayor, several restaurants, and walkable to all the big sites or it's easy to get a taxi. The building is older, but the apartment is in great condition. Communicated with the host about a few things that they may want to check out to fix, but they were minor and didn't disrupt our stay at all. Would definitely go back. I also really appreciated that she let us in the apartment a few hours early via a locker key. We were a family of five travelling across Spain and it was tough to time everything to the check in times at some of the air bnbs, so we appreciated her flexibility!

A large apartment with 3 bedrooms, faithful to the photos. The locker to collect the keys is not within walking distance, but it allows you to discover the environment. There is an arrival procedure to be completed online with passport to be sent + photo/signature for each participant. We found it restrictive and not reassuring, and asked to show our passports when we arrived, which Marta agreed to, thank you, it was much simpler! In the end, we didn't have to communicate these documents when we arrived. The accommodation is ideally located 2 minutes' walk to Plaza Mayor! I recommend it. 👍🏼

We really liked the cleanliness of the apartment and the convenient location. There weren't enough locks on the bathroom doors, which was very uncomfortable because there were so many of us. Ideally, locks would be added to the interior doors. There is tableware and all kitchen utensils, DIA supermarket in two minutes. This is amazing! Very cozy apartment, even though two bedrooms have windows to the courtyard. But this is common in Spain. The main thing is that the apartment is clean and comfortable! I also liked the attention of the owners. They constantly wrote and offered help, if necessary, and explained the rules of the stay.

This is a easy, relaxed and spacious apartment, and the ideal base to explore the city. The apartment is so central that the Plaza Mayor is less than a minute away and the Palace only a few minutes further. We were delighted to be able to also walk to all the galleries including Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza and beyond to the El Retiro Park. As you would expect from such a central apartment the vibrancy and background sounds of the city are your soundtrack. Marta was an excellent host, always friendly, responsive, with easy, clear instructions and welcomed recommendations. If you are looking for a relaxed, vibrant and central apartment, I would definitely recommend this one. We had a great time!

The place is in a good location although it’s very noisy at night. We were warned so it wasn’t a surprise. We were frustrated by the shower curtain that constantly fell down in the master bedroom. We had a great trip. Marta was very helpful and always replied very quickly to any questions. She kindly organised a taxi to collect us from the airport which really made getting to the apartment easier. The apartment is in a great location. The front bedroom was a little noisy at night due to the nearby restaurant / bar, but that is really to be expected in a very central location. The other two bedrooms were much quieter. All in all a great trip and we'd be happy to stay there again. Marta was a great host, one of the most responsive Airbnb hosts we've come across.

The accommodation has two strengths: 1) It is right in the heart of Madrid. Step outside and you're in Plaza Major. 2) It is very large, ideal for two families, and the bedrooms are separated by a huge living room, which is also perfect for ensuring sufficient privacy. The directions to get there were perfect, and the keys were left in a locker 5 minutes from the accommodation. I didn't get to know Marta personally, but we corresponded daily, and she was always thoughtful in asking whether my stay was going well. The only advice I can give is to add a tablecloth for eating. Mostly so as not to dirty the table and not to ruin it. Highly recommended Host.

Thank you Marta and Enrique for a wonderful home away from away. My partner and I traveled back to our old home Madrid with family and stayed in the heart of La Latina. Plaza Mayor is less than 30 seconds from the front door! The apartment was spacious, full of books, basic kitchen necessities and great views for seeing everyday life for Madrileños. Check-in and check out was very easy and smooth and will definitely stay here again with a group of friends or family!

The spacious apartment is located literately right in front of Plaza Mayor and within walking distance to most known Madrid tourists attractions. We literately walked to the Royal Palace (10 min walk), Mercado San Miguel (4 mins walk), Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, Puerta de Acala, Retiro Park, etc. Plenty of great restaurants and markets near by, very conveniently located. Marta and Enrique were amazing super hosts, I would definitely recommend and come back again.

This accomodation is recommended. The down side is given the location there is a lot of noise both from the street and apartment , although double glazing helps. Despite this we slept well. Checkout required a 5 minute walk which was a bit of a pain but the coded locker system worked well and communication was good. The apartment is spacious with big rooms and a big lounge which we made good use of. It is well fitted out with everything we needed. The biggest plus is the location, it is just so central. We didn’t use the metro once you can walk everywhere. I would stay here again, and again and again.

The location is perfect, and the apartment is large. But that's all the positive that the site has. The check-in process is not too practical, you have a 10-15 minute journey with the suitcases from where you pick up the keys to the apartment. The main room is quite noisy and overall our experience was really bad, the apartment had a terrible leaking problem and we were inundated with an early morning room. We ended up canceling and changing the apartment. Acknowledge that at all times Marta was accessible and tried to help as much as possible.

My friend and I booked this flat last minute and were almost immediately contacted which made it nice knowing we had somewhere to stay. The place is awesome, and much larger than we anticipated. It is definitely a place that I would return to with my family. The only complaint that I had, was having to retrieve the key from a different location than where the flat is. The instructions were clear on how to get the keys but just a little bit inconvenient. Fortunately we had a vehicle so it wasn't that big of a deal, but I could see it being a bit inconvenient if you were walking with luggage. Leaving was easy because we were able to just leave the keys. Once you find the flat, and enter the place, it is beautiful, roomy, and felt like home. Marta was easy to contact. As I stated before, I would definitely stay here again.

Marta's apartment was perfect as a central spot for exploring Madrid. The location was excellent - you could see the Plaza Mayor from the street. It was very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed during the heat wave so the air conditioning and fans was especially appreciated. Even though the front room faced the street, noise was really only a minor inconvenience one night and not even noticed the rest of the nights. I recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a central location close to everything!

The location is amazing! You're literally a few steps from the Plaza Mayor and close to so many attractions. You have the worlds oldest restaurant next door and a famous shoe shop downstairs. You're surrounded by tons of restaurants and Mercado San Miguel is really close. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were a little nervous since the unit is on the 3rd floor and we had a lot of luggage and a baby. However, there aren't that many steps and we had no issues coming up and down with everything. My wife and two friends gave the unit a 10/10 and thanked me for my excellent choice.

Great location if you want to be close to tourist area. Lots of restaurants and cafes. The wifi works well and the apartment is clean and nicely decorated. Very easy instructions for checkin and host was communicative and helpful with airport transfer. It can be hot if staying during the summer as the ACs may not be powerful enough. There is a big fan that I used.

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I had a very enjoyable stay here for 4 nights. The location is very central to a lot of the main sights (Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, La Latina neighborhood and more) and the apartment is spacious, clean, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. I loved the little balconies looking down on the quaint street below. Communication with Marta was great…she was very responsive and helpful. One of the things I appreciated is that she offered to book a private taxi for us with a car seat for my daughter to take us to and from the airport. This was SO convenient and saved us a lot of time and effort. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending the apartment to our friends

Very nice, spacious and comfortable flat with all necessities. The location is perfect for central sightseeing. One bedroom on the streetside gets a little noise, but other inner bedrooms retain peace and quiet. Something to be expected with such a central location. Communication with hosts flowed without glitches. All in all, highly recommendable.

Clean, great location, and spacious for the cost. The host was not able to meet for check-in, so I had to pick up the keys at a locker about 500m away. One room seemed to be on top of a heater and was hotter than the rest. Noise levels after 10pm is strictly enforced as music playing from laptop speakers caused complaints. Otherwise, no issues and would recommend!

Marta Y Arturo is a perfect host, very watchful to every details. She ordered our cab between the airport and the appartement and gave us severals excellent adresses. The appartment is next side Piazza Major, very clean and not noisy. The two keys sets are inseguo. I hardly recommande this appartement for some days in Madrid

The location is really good, you can walk to most of the attractions in half an hour. Next time I stay here again, it is inconvenient to drive in the old city to find too many one-way streets, and the address above and the address given by the landlord are located on Google, but just ask the host in advance!

The apartment is amazing. Great check in experience, a lot of utensils on the kitchen, dishwasher and washer. Rooms are spacious and bright, and bathrooms are good with big closets on the rooms. Offers TV free and other channels. The location is just the best if you want to be around everything. Is just 100 meters from Plaza Mayor, easy to take taxi, Uber or just walk. You have great view to the street level, and don’t worry for the noice. Despite being around the city center, inside is very quiet and you don’t hear the outside wold craziness if any. Beds are comfortable and great pillows. About the stairs, if you read the description do not worry!, this is just like a second floor level, big stairs, and just a few steps. Nothing mayor or problematic. I would not change it for another with lift. Totally recommended.

Modern apartment in a great location!!!! It's all about walking!! (Gran via, plaza mayor, sol etc.). Well equipped! There is no elevator but the 3 floors are equivalent to one (or less). I recommend it if you are a group!

Very good accommodation, as is in the listing, very close to the Plaza Mayor, supermarkets, pharmacy and public transportation. The location of arriving via AirbNb is directing you to a number other than the accommodation, but as the hosts have the full address on arrival, it does not cause problems.

Wouldn't come back! The place is cute as the pictures show, but it has a strong musty smell, it's very hot and tomorrow light comes into the rooms. When you go up the stairs to get to the apartment (everything is very run down), then when you enter the apartment is nice, but the surroundings are ugly.Poor value for money.

A lovely spacious apartment with good facilities. The host provided local tips on our arrival which were very useful. She also checked up with us after our first night to make sure that everything was OK. The apartment is centrally located which means that all tourist sites are easily walkable. AC in the front bedroom and living room and also fans in the back two bedrooms meant that we were comfortable over night (August stay). The front bedroom was a little noisy at night with the cafes etc beneath but this is to be expected given the fantastic central location. Beds were very comfortable. I would definitely use this apartment again if we ever go back to Madrid.

Really could not pick a better place for this stylishly decorated, effortlessly cool apartment. It’s just off Plaza Mayor and although two windows open into the busling street below, they are both really well sound treated to keep out the sounds of needed. Three great sized bedrooms along with sofa and extendable seats, the flat also has a great dining table and two bathrooms. Lisi is a wonderful host; she provided a map and marked out around 10 tips of where to go, where to eat and even where to avoid. We loved Madrid and this place was the ideal base to see it from. We’ll be back.

It's probably one of the best places you can stay at in Madrid. It's right above Restaurant Botin, the oldest recorded restaurant in the world! It's very central to many locations in Madrid. Super clean. Very spacious. I'd totally stay here again on my next visit!!

Our stay with Laura was outstanding! She is very thoughtful and accommodating. Communication was easy and quick. The location is perfect, lots of little shops, markets, and resturants within walking distance. The only thing to take into consideration is the A/C is only in the living room and master bedroom. The furniture was comfortable but very low to the ground. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and very modern. It was a perfect fit for myself and my 3 teenage kids. I would definitely stay here again.

Can't recommend the apartment enough. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of the City within walking distance of everything but still quiet at night. The place itself has a lovely open plan feel and had more than enough room for the four of us friends staying. We all agreed we'd love to stay again whenever we're back in Madrid.

Location is great, you are literally next to Plaza Mayor. Apartment is spacious and has a washer which was a plus for us, we had been traveling for a week already. It was an easy check-in, Laura kept in touch with me and even arranged a taxi for our pick up. This was awesome! We loved all the local recommendations we received when we checked in. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

Very nice apartment, very large, with all the comforts needed both in the kitchen, and the quality of the mattresses, the organization of taxis that came to take us to the airport. We had a wonderful stay at Laura and Marta's place in Madrid. The apartment was large enough for our family of 7 and was very clean with comfortable beds. We appreciated the little extras: hand soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and the assortment of adapters for our electronics. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, pots, pans, and a coffee maker. There are plenty of towels along with a blow dryer, iron, and ironing board. The location is great at the Plaza Mayor, within walking distance to many attractions as well as the metro. As much as we loved the apartment, our interaction with our hosts was even better. Marta and Lisi were wonderful! They were responsive to our inquiries, helpful and accommodating during check-in and even arranged very early, front door transportation to the airport for our group at check-out. They gave us wonderful recommendations and tips for our visit. We truly had a fabulous time and would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Madrid.

Central location, lots of warnings from residents and police to be careful of pickpockets. The host initially set a minimum and maximum arrival time, but required a specific time. We were coming with a hired van from the south of Portugal (Algarve) that had mechanical problems on the road. We inform the Host of this situation, but she and her partner stayed at all times determining sub-clockwise where they might be available for checkin (key delivery). I was with my 14-year-old son, my father-in-law, 74, and my mother-in-law, 65, in addition to my wife and stepdaughter. The transport would just leave us on the street and go. Very stressful situation. After we threatened to make a comment about this here in the app, she sent her niece who waited for us. At the time of our arrival the girl was there, Stefany, who was very attentive. We arrived at 8:05 pm, within the check-in period stated in the app listing.

Everything went very well in the apartment. We went on a trip to Madrid for the second time with my family and my husband and everything was great.The location is excellent.
