Although small, the flat is very comfortable for two people. It has two air conditioners, which are very important for the hot days we're having in Madrid. The location is very good, just a few blocks from Puerta del Sol. I recommend it.

Our experience was excellent. The reception was very pleasant. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and her recommendations helped us during our stay. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos: very clean, comfortable and fully equipped. What's more, the location is perfect, as it's within walking distance of many of Madrid's main tourist attractions. The service was excellent. They were always very friendly and helpful, and responded quickly. Our entire stay was comfortable and pleasant. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay in Madrid.

We had a wonderful stay! I travelled with my 80-year-old grandmother, and luckily everything was very accessible and comfortable for her too. The guy who welcomed us at check-in was very nice and helpful. The flat is very well equipped, it was clean, and the location was very convenient and comfortable for us. We were so happy here! Everything was impeccable and it's just like the photos. The shower is wonderful; the hot water comes out quickly and with a strong flow. The air conditioning works perfectly, and even though it's a single space without real walls, there's privacy (if you need it, like us, who use the sofa as a second bed) thanks to well-distributed lighting and the panel that divides the room from the living room. The hosts have a very useful document with recommendations for the city. We had a great meal at a couple of the restaurants listed. They're also very attentive. We arrived in Spain without mobile data because we were going to buy the eSIM once we were in Europe, and although it took us a long time to let them know that we were on our way to the Airbnb, they came to meet us very quickly. The apartment is in an unbeatable area. A few blocks from Sol station and close to all of Madrid's iconic landmarks. We walked to the Royal Palace and El Retiro Park.

This place was a fantastic location, so central and lots of restaurants in the area, the host gave us some great recommendations. The apartment itself self was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. Building has a lift which makes it easier with bags. Would definitely recommend staying here. The street could be a little noise at times and no blackout on the windows, but other than that I’d highly recommend. Hosts were really helpful and great to deal with.

They welcomed us personally and explained everything to us in the apartment. They were always looking out for us, both when we arrived and when we left. They always answered all our questions quickly. They also give you contact numbers for day and night in case something happens. We felt very accompanied. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything we need. What's more, the building has a small lift that makes it easier to arrive with suitcases. The location is unbeatable, with restaurants, shops and transport very close by. Plaza del Sol is a 6-minute walk away. There are lots of shops and places to visit. Very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!!

The apartment was impeccable and has everything promised in the listing. The kitchen is very well equipped, as are the bed linen and towels. The area is perfect as it's in the centre of all the places of interest, which you can reach on foot in around 15 minutes. There are car parks two minutes away. The little street is full of restaurants, but it still has the right balance between calm and bustle. In the parallel streets, the number of people around the bars and the evening buzz are impressive. The hosts were very attentive when we arrived, and the only drawback was that we couldn't leave our bags anywhere after check-out and our flight was at 11 pm. But I would definitely recommend the accommodation and would rent it again.

A really nice loft-like apartment in an excellent location. Near the Puerta del Sol. We were able to walk everywhere. We were a family of three with a teenage son and the space suites us. The sofa bed was a pull out. Washer was great to have. There was a bit of noise one or two nights but minimal and didn't bother us at all, part of being in such a great and lively neighborhood.

Small 2-person apartment in a great location in Las Lettras. Positive: very good location, not too busy a street but everything is close by and within walking distance. Nice neighborhood to stay in. Good bed, nice little balcony and good shower. Nicely decorated. Negative: it's really very small. It's just about manageable with 2 people. Open-plan bedroom, so no privacy or peace and quiet if you don't go to sleep at the same time. Although it didn't really bother us, the apartment needs maintenance: the sofa is broken, and everything in the bathroom is crooked and loose. There was also very little crockery, no wine glasses or coffee cups. All in all, a good stay, but too expensive for what was offered.

The owners were in touch with us at all times, before, during and after our stay, providing us with precise instructions and local recommendations. Unlike other automatic check-in processes, the keys are handed over by the owners, which was a bonus for us. As for the apartment, it has all the amenities listed. With brand-new furniture, an excellent layout, very tasteful decor, and all the amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. The location is on a street full of restaurants in the Barrio de Letras. We stayed for a Saturday night, and this in no way prevented us from resting. It's close to all the tourist attractions and metro stations. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The apartment is in a very good location, in the centre of all the attractions, so we can walk to the attractions in the direction of the Prado Museum, the attractions in the direction of the Royal Palace of Madrid, and the attractions in the direction of the Plaza de España.The apartment is very close to Sun Gate Square, where you can find the British Embassy and a Zara store.There were enough condiments in the apartment, and we made dinner in there. There are all kinds of restaurants nearby, so there's a lot of choice. Of course, it might be a bit noisy in the evening, but it didn't affect us much. The host is very nice, responds very quickly, and can resolve any issues in a timely manner.

It is a great place and right in the center. Because of this you should though also expect some noise like garbage pick up in the middle of the night and from bars and restaurants but nothing major at all. I was there for work and the place fit my needs very well. Clean and great location. Host was also very responsive. I would stay there again!

The flat is in a convenient location, within walking distance of all the most popular attractions such as the Prado, the Royal Palace, the Reina Sofía Museum, Plaza Mayor, etc. The flat is small but functional, tidy and clean, with an excellent shower and comfortable mattresses. The owners are very attentive to guests, even sending recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The only thing that left us a bit puzzled was the request for €30 to leave our suitcases in the flat until 1:00 p.m. (check-out is at 11:00 a.m.). Otherwise, I would definitely recommend the apartment.

We were given the wrong apartment number, so we rang the wrong doorbell and had to wait a while. When we entered, the cleaning had just finished, and it smelled strongly of bleach. One hand towel was stained and smelled bad; it was clear it had been used by the previous occupants. The pillows also smelled bad; when we looked inside the covers, we saw that they were yellowed from dirt and sweat. We made a pillow out of a clean towel and slept like that for two days. It gets very noisy on the street very early in the morning. The only good thing about the apartment was its central location and reasonable price. We also conveyed our complaint and suggestions regarding the cleanliness to the landlord; hopefully, improvements will be made after we leave.

We had the best stay at the apartment over Christmas. It was cozy, warm, clean, and the hosts were very responsive. A perfect stay for 2 people, maybe 3. You couldn’t pick a better spot to stay in Madrid - very close to metros, great food, shopping, museums, historical sites, everything! Loved our stay and would be back in a heartbeat.

So many amazing things to say about this place, and only a couple warnings, which we expected some of from the other reviews. Location is everything and this property is in the heart of where you want to be. Bars, restaurants, sites, everything within 15 minutes walking. The downside is the noisy street at night. Our solution was to place nature or thunder sounds on our phone so that screaming drunk people in the street outside wouldn’t wake us (haha). This property is exactly as described and we have it 5 stars because it deserves it! And the hosts were top notch. We just wish there was more than 2 small pillows in the bed and more than 2 towels. We would stay here again! Thank you!

The studio apartment was easy to find and very nice and clean. It was just a few minutes’ walk from the Sol metro station, which was perfect. There are many lovely restaurants and shops nearby, and supermarkets are close if you need them.

I stayed here with my adult son with the expectation that it was a bright one bedroom apartment. However, while the staff/hosts met us at the apartment and were very responsive and pleasant the apartment disappointed. Some things to consider when booking this place. It is NOT a 1BR, I looked at the listing again and see they call it a 1BR but in the description say it's partitioned. Due to the small size of the apartment and only a half wall between the "bedroom" and the living room and dining area it's basically a studio apartment. The furniture is the cheapest products from Ikea, bed and sofa were hard as rocks and pillows were stiff. Not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement. Then there is the frosted window in front of the toilet so everyone can see your silhouette while using it. Again privacy please! Then there was the nightclub down the street which was open till 6AM with street noise keeping us up all night! Bring earplugs. Location is good as advertised.

Very good location. Some things from the kitchen were missing but it was easily fixed. The apartment is a little bit smaller than it seems but to spend a few days as a couple is fine. The only downside is that the elevator doesn't work and the stairs are a little narrow. The rest was fine.

The airbnb was clean and beautiful, close to most attractions in Madrid and close to the main metro stations. It can get noisy at weekend nights as the airbnb is located nearby some great restaurants and bars, I'll recommend some ear plugs and you'll be ok. Great central location with many good restaurants, stores, grocery stores and 20-25 minute walk to The Prado Museum and Royal Palace. There was construction on the elevator from about 8 am to 6 pm, but not all the time and every day. The noise from that construction was not loud or disruptive. With windows facing the street below and bed not too far from those windows and on 2nd floor (3rd floor as we count in the States) we could hear street traffic and street talking & partying from below. As you may already know, or will find out, the younger Spaniards like to hang out, talk, laugh and party until the wee hours of the night/morning. Especially on Friday and Saturday. Other than that we recommend this place.

Worth every penny. Location is perfect as you can get to bars and restaurants within minutes and get to all the museums equally quickly. 15 mins in each direction gives you everything. The apartment is quiet, comfortable, clean and the street has plenty of bars and restaurants, with Plaza de Santa Ana only minutes away, home to 10 or so wonderful bars / restaurants. Marta and Enrique (also Francesca who checked us in) are good people and very helpful. We'll be back without question.

This is the perfect Airbnb in Madrid! It was so close to everything and on a street filled with restaurants and coffee shops. Everything was walking distance which was amazing for sight seeing. The place was clean, neat and felt super homey. The hosts were very responsive, gave recommendations and the check-in process was seamless. Marta’s place was one of the best airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Superb communication from the start, very accommodating and friendly. As 2 female travelers we felt as though she was a mother for us in a a foreign country and appreciated her care and concern. She checked in after we arrived and halfway through our stay to make sure everything was going well and to confirm we were happy. Check out details were easy, check in was a smooth process and the apartment is very well located, easy to find. Everything we could’ve needed was there, extremely clean and comfortable. Safe area and in the center of it all. I feel as though anyone who can give less than 5 stars has not tried airbnb in Europe before. We will be booking with Marta next time we are in Spain!

Great location. Clean new and functional. Marta is proactive and quick to respond. It’s true what others say about the street noise, especially late, but it’s what you should expect for a busy urban location. It didn’t bother us at all. Close the roll down shutters they work to lessen the noise. I highly recommend this suite!

Great place and as advertised. The host was very responsive and made check in quite easy. Questions were quickly answered and suggestions on where to eat were abundant. Just a few observations for those that care: The air conditioning worked quite well. Was quite happy. The windows looked new (still had the manufacturer stickers attached) and dampened the noise quite well. That said, we still heard a low level of carousing at the street level until 5 or 6 in the morning. We slept just fine, but if you’re extra sensitive it’s something to note. The place was very centrally located for the places we wanted to see, and could walk just about anywhere in the city center. Was also easy for taxis and Übers to access as it was not a pedestrianised street. There is an odd house rule that garbage must be removed the night before departure. This might be a building rule the owners need to comply with, but made things awkward the last day.

Although Marta and Enrique are excellent in communication, the house is managed by a company. Although the apartment is fine in general, the "super host" is a bit of a lot. But what about airbnb in Madrid is another story...

We stayed in the apartment 2 friends. The apartment met exactly our needs - located in an amazing location - everything is minutes to walk. The apartment looks as it is in the pictures and the hosts were wonderful, were waiting in the apartment at the time of arrival, responded quickly to any need - linens or help with recommendations or ordering a taxi. It's really a great feeling staying in a new city and getting help and friendly face for any need. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was a good size for us and the location was great. Check in was very easy and Marta was v communicative. We did have a few problems. The fridge was broken for our entire stay as was the bathroom door, it wouldn’t close. Marta and her team did try to fix these whilst we were there but didn’t manage to. Marta was very nice and left some chocolates as an apology but we feel that these things should have been checked before we arrived. It felt like we didn’t quite get what we paid for - the apartment wasn’t cheap! A little more attention to detail in the future would I’m sure be appreciated by guests. Thank you for having us, we had a good week despite the hiccups.

The apartment is great because it has a perfect location with respect to museums, retreat area, close to downtown walking. Good endowment, great heating. The host with availability... The only downside is that the street has a lot of life at night and the noise makes it difficult to rest at night.

Everything was amazing, and the host was perfect, the one you can only wish for. The only flaw was the noise in the street over the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights), but if you like to party you won't mind. It is not that bad if you have strong sleep, but if you are a light sleeper, you might get to hear it during the night, until 6 am usually. Recommendation for the place despite the noise, it is an excellent location.

I loved Marta’s place and it was perfect for a few nights in Madrid! I liked it so much that I wanted to extend my stay! It’s on a side street that is situated between great restaurants, stores and great vibes! It is in a perfect location that is right near the square and easy to walk to so many other pockets of Madrid. She is a great host and easy to communicate with as well :) *There is a bar/club below that stayed pretty noisy throughout the night/early morning that we could hear from the place. It didn’t happen on Thursday, only on Friday (so maybe just a weekend thing?) We didn’t mind because we were getting home very late each night, but it’s something to keep in mind!

We had a great stay! The apartment is well equipped and the location is super central - not far from the Gran Via and not far from the Retiro Park. Plenty of restaurants nearby (including downstairs). General notes: If you are staying over the weekends (Friday/Saturday) you will certainly be disturbed by the outside noise. We stayed for 5 nights and there was no problem at all on other days.

The apartment although quite small, is very well equipped and is in a great area. The bed is very comfy, the kitchen equipped. If you still don't go to Madrid for nightlife, it's maybe not the happiest choice, because almost every night, a club works downstairs and there's noise until morning.

Beautiful apartment and very comfortable pull out couch. Great location except on weekends. Extremely noisy due to clubs on the street but the noise level was much better on a weekday. If you are staying here you need to be aware that there is a light switch at the top and bottom of the steps you need to click to light up the 3 flights of stairs to/from the apartment, otherwise it is very dark. Also, only one set of keys are given and you need a key to leave the apartment. Lastly, you will need to provide yourself with most everything (coffee, shampoo, etc) but plenty of dishes are available. Nice place, great location just be aware of the aforementioned and you will enjoy your stay

Terrible stay, the shower was clogged, the bathroom flooded and consequently water ran into the apartment. The refrigerator stopped working and with a temperature above 38 degrees it was essential to have cold drinks... The size of the apartment is extremely small, the photos are misleading. It is a divided apartment and the noises of the neighbours are heard in addition to the slamming of the doors. It really is an ungrateful experience. There is no privacy because the technicians are always coming to fix the faults. There is no bedding such as sheets, only a mattress cover and a bedspread. It's a shame that guests are being deceived like this. I had read in reviews that they had already reported the shower being clogged and the floor being flooded, and nothing has been done. We do not recommend this place, renting an AirBnb is to have amenities and not to suffer. As a result, they made us cancel the reservation to move to another apartment of their property, increasing the price.

Great location and a lovely stay. The place has everything you need, very helpful hosts let us check in early too. The only downside is on Friday/Saturday night the club music down the street is going until 4am and is very loud. But during the day the location is great to walk everywhere, lots of great cafes and restaurants near by.

There are things that must be in place without unnecessary things. There are stories of external noise in other reviews, but it can't be helped because the location is so good. There's not much problem during the week, and there's a little noise on the weekend. The best way to deal with it is to wander around during the day and immediately fall asleep at night. Anyway, I'll give you two tips. Look carefully at the window frame. You'll find a strap by which you can lower and raise the outer shutter. It blocks some external sound and prevents light from coming in. There is a hallway light switch right after you open the front door of the building from the road. If you turn it on and come up, the stairs are not dark. These are the things I found out on day two. You should know and use it immediately. ^^

Great location, walking distance to everywhere. Apartment is a studio but there is good separation between the sleeping area and the living room/kitchen. It has all the amenities you might need. Overall apartment is clean-except for one of the hand towels which might have been an oversight. Being in the city center, bars and restaurants which go on till the morning on the weekend are at your doorstep so there is noise in the apartment. I would recommend earplugs definitely. You are expected to take out the trash, clean around the kitchen at the end of your stay which I found not ideal for an accommodation where a cleaning fee is already included. The host is very communicative and check in was very easy. There are really nice recommendations on where to go, where to eat at the apartment which is great.

Location, location, location! This is a great area and the cozy apartment was easy to enjoy. Wish we would have known about the outdoor window shutters earlier, as they helped to keep the outside noise down, the first couple of nights the noise went on until 6:00 am! Use the shutters!

Marta was an excellent host. She communicated very clearly and was extremely responsive. The unit was clean. The area was cool. We enjoyed the balcony and the laundry was convenient. The shower and the lighting in the bathroom were bad. The shower flooded outside the shower and onto the floor quickly and easily. The lighting in the apartment made getting ready and hygiene more difficult.

We had a wonderful stay at Marta y Enrique's apartment. It was smart, modern and well designed, in the centre of a lively area of bars and cafes, close to a metro stop and walking distance from the Prado and all the museums and galleries we wanted to visit. A huge amount of information about Madrid was available in the apartment and an up to date list of places to eat and drink was emailed to us. We were only in Madrid for the weekend but when we next come back we hope to stay in Marta y Enrique's place again.

The flat is ideally located so you can get everywhere on foot. It is charming and clean. On the other hand, noise is a real problem at weekends. As there is a nightclub right next door, even with the windows closed, it is very annoying if we don’t use earplugs. But we still had a lovely stay.

The location of the air b&b is very central and almost all locations we visited were within walking distance. There are some great bars and restaurants nearby too. The place itself is more than big enough for 2 people, clean and came with useful amenities. As the other reviews mentioned, the flat is on a busy street with bars/restaurants that are open late. There was some noise which woke us up a few times at night but that’s not unexpected of the location. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest taking some ear plugs! Overall, the air b&b was great and good value.

We loved our stay at Marta y Enrique’s - the location was great, the space itself was lovely, and the hosts were quick to respond. We’d stay here again if we were looking for a space in this neighborhood! A few notes - As other reviewers noted, it is on a lively street, so come prepared for the good (plenty to do and eat) and less good (overnight revelry). Also, the lights in the interior stairwell were still out when we stayed, which was inconvenient and a little creepy but ultimately fine. And while there are some kitchen basics (salt, pepper), you’ll need your own oil and other spices.

We were staying at Marta’s place for five days in early December and have to say that everything was perfect. Location of the apartment is great, walkable to all main atractions and the quart is beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars, and near plaza de Santa Ana which was our favorite place for drinks in those few days. Apartment is as in the pictures, so cozy and with the feeling that you are at home, also equiped with everything you could possible need. We are really super happy that we found such hosts and such a place and we would recommend it to everyone!😊

The apartment is exactly as described, spacious, in perfect condition, very comfortable and in a great location at the heart of Madrid's downtown. I had a really nice time staying there and would be back anytime. You only need to be prepared for the noisy neighborhood late at night which is part of Madrid busy night life in the area ... or you can just join the party downstairs !

The apartment was clean, as per the listing description and photos, the owners are fully available and attentive. Thanks again:) Only problem: the apartment is quite noisy on weekends as it overlooks a fairly busy street with a nightclub on the street. Garbage trucks are even passed several times per night (maybe not always the case but on our weekend yes...)! Think of the Quies balls (or go your way...) if it's rest you've come to pick up in Madrid...

We were very content with this apartment. It was definitely one of the best we've ever found on Airbnb. It was spacious, clean, sunny, had a new bathroom and very clean shower. If you wanted to cook there were adequate basic pans and utensils. There is a dining table, chairs, comfortable sofa and quite comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of space for clothing. We were met at the apartment on arrival . There were maps and books about the city there. The street where the apartment was located was less than a 10 minute walk from the Prado. There were many restaurants on this and surrounding streets. We have no problem with stairs but I want to mention that the stairs up to the third floor [American third] were very old and worn sloping wooden stairs. The bed linens and towels could be improved. The towels were thin and rather small. About the bed, there was a protective covering that was not completely smooth between the mattress and the fitted bottom sheet. There was no top sheet on the bed. I've never been anyplace where there was no top sheet. When I emailed the hosts to ask if we could have a top sheet, the answer was to remove the inner pad from the white coverlet and use that coverlet as a top sheet. There's a washer which we didn't use, a TV, electric kettle, hair dryer and other conveniences. Our interest was primarily in going to museums for which this location is ideal.

The apartment of Marta and Enrique was very nice, clean and well equipped with quite new furniture. It was also very well situated, in the middle of all down town activities of Madrid. On the other hand, this was also a drawback since windows facing the street, the apartment was very noisy in the evenings and late to the night. In brief, in my opinion the apartment is nice for a short visit, but for a longer one like mine (about 2 weeks) the street noise starts to bother.

Excellent solution for 2 adults and a little girl. The apartment, although a bit small, is equipped with everything you need and very clean. Marta was very kind to find a solution "on the fly" for our check-in since at 9:00 pm we were without the apartment previously booked (canceled due to lack of air conditioning) and she literally saved us. I would say the location is excellent for reaching Gran Via and the main museums. In the street of the apartment there are also several places if one does not want to move so much. We will recommend it, thank you.
