We were so disappointed with this stay, the Airbnb was filthy. The pots and pans had old food on and we had to wash these before cooking. Both showers had excessive black mould on the doors and shower heads. There were what looked like blood stains on one of the pillow cases, someone’s hair in the bathroom drawer. There was a massive brown stain in the lounge on the carpet and a dark red stain on the carpet in one of the bedrooms and one of the bedside lights was missing a lightbulb. The garden was not kept well at all and was full of weeds and corks/decorations from previous stays and unfortunately our WiFi router box stopped working completely on our last night and despite checking the fuse box/sockets/restarting etc, we couldn’t fix it and were unable to watch tv as it was all connected to WiFi. We were so disappointed we have asked for a partial refund. The host was responsive when we reported this but not helpful in getting the wifi sorted, unfortunately the standard was so poor.

We arrived at the house and everything was spotlessly clean.Nice layout and bedrooms have everything you needed.We had 2 issues while we were there and both got sorted in rapid time.Infact I couldn't believe how quickly it was sorted.Excellant service.We had a lovely stay. Hot tub was lovely although we didn't really use it due to daughter being pregnant.Would definitely stay here again.

Overall we wouldn’t list this stay in particular as ‘premium or luxury’ but it was a comfortable stay. The lack of cleanliness was the most noticeable issue for us and this should have been more thorough as large stains were everywhere. This listing states it caters up to 7 guests but we felt the lack of some basic kitchen essentials meant we had to purchase household items. You’d need to bring dish cloths or sponges, bin liners, a saucepan etc. The location is great for accessing all that Whitby has to offer. We did find that the parking space isn’t sufficient for 2 cars but 1 car is fine (we were a group of 7). We did enjoy the hot tub but didn’t realise it is based at the front of the house however it is enclosed. Although the chemicals may need looking at as our eyes were sore after use so maybe leave the doors open? The size of the living room/kitchen area is great and super spacious and ideal for any celebrations. There was no hot water in the top shower but beds were cosy.

Great stay, lovely little hideaway for a relaxing girls weekend. Hot tub and space was clean and easy to use Host was very responsive and quick when approached with questions prior to check in Pillows could maybe use an update if possible, but nothing major I’m maybe a little fussy when it comes to pillows Would have maybe been nice to be able to use the hot tub on the morning of check out. Would recommend for close access to Whitby but for enough out for quiet and peace, sleights railway station practically on door step and we also walked into Whitby , took less than an hour! Was great

We recently stayed here and overall had a lovely visit. The home is in a great location and is a really nice property with plenty of space. It was tidy on arrival and well stocked — toilet rolls and toiletries were provided in each bathroom, the kitchen had everything we needed including coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, and there were plenty of towels in the bedrooms as well as extras near the hot tub, which was a nice touch. When we first arrived the heating wasn’t working, however after sending a message on Airbnb we received a very quick response and a solution straight away. The staff at Host & Stay were extremely helpful and responsive throughout. The only downside was a damp/musty smell as soon as we walked in. There appears to be an ongoing leak from the main bathroom into the living room ceiling — this area was wet when we arrived but did dry over the two days we stayed. Property was is in a short taxi or a decent walk away from Whitby, which we enjoyed. The area is set back from the busy Whitby and has a relaxed feeling, the area is stunning with nice cozy pubs near by: great service and food we'd recommend the plough in sleights. The property was spacious, clean and had everything we required to have a fun short break away.

Lovely home in a lovely location within easy reach of Whitby and the coast. Nice pub, bakery and shops nearby. Easy check-in and good communication throughout with quick responses. The house was well-equipped and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and nice furniture. A little bit weathered in areas - with locks or doors needing repair, a leaky gutter in the rain and the garden needed some love! But overall, we had a nice time.

Overall really good stay loved the area and surroundings really nice place to stay and visit. All rooms were and beds were great. Only a couple of small cosmetic things need sorting out ie the ceiling in the front room has had a leak at some point and has not been repainted the skirts look like they have been chewed in places and an the staircase could do with a paint.

The property space is ideal for socialising. Unfortunately the property requires a deep clean and is inundated with spiders and hair from previous guests. The bedding was clean, as were the towels, but that was about it. Such a shame as the space and location are great!

What an incredible spot just a short drive to Whitby but also not far from great hikes and flamingo land! Quiet area with only a stream and some sheep for background noise. Lots of communication before arriving and a handy app for other information when you arrive. We used the hot tub every night and made the most of the indoor space too. As a family of 6 we felt we had plenty of space and would stay again.

The house was perfect for our weekend of walking and the hot tub was a great addition! bedding and towels were clean and the house was well presented. A lovely stay, great location and such a good spot for walks and a venture into Whitby on the train(station just over the bridge). We would stay again!

Very lovely home to spend the weekend. Spacious, clean and lovely furnishings. The hot tub was a great added bonus. Just a couple things that could be improved but felt they were quite important … the home is pet friendly but asks dogs don’t go upstairs - no problem except the living room door doesn’t close (handle broken) and leads directly to the stairs. A stair gate or a fixed door would make it a bit easier to relax rather than having to constantly keep an eye on pets. A few extra cloths would be a bonus as with seven people in the house two don’t last very long. The hot tub was great but was freezing when we arrived. Despite putting it on when we got there we weren’t able to use it at all until the next day. This was a shame as we were only staying two nights. Finally three tvs but only one remote!

Excellent spot for a get away, spent my 20th birthday here with a few friends. Had a great time and there’s lots of activities in Whitby town which is only about a 10 minute car trip. The place was great, nice and spacious and the hot tub was a nice play to kick back and relax in at the end of the day. Overall, I’d recommend and will be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at littlebeck house overall, the size of the house was great for our family and the location was great. Really nice garden centre a few minutes walk away and a local pub over the bridge. We also made use of the bus and train in to Whitby. however on arrival we noticed that the house wasn’t as clean as you would expect with dirt on the floor in the entrance and the kitchen floor looked to need a good mop. In the bedrooms you could literally write your name in the dust on the bedside tables which my son actually did do! However the bathrooms were spotless and the beds themselves were very clean and comfy too. we also noticed the living room door doesn’t shut which is frustrating when you have a baby and a dog constantly trying to escape out of it. I did see an old review mention this but seems to have not being fixed. Overall the place is great, I think abit of TLC is needed to keep up to the property and a little more attention when cleaning is needed. 😊

Absolutely stunning location, the house is decorated nicely but needs a refresh now. Few snagging issues, downstairs toilet towel rail is hanging off and the lock doesn’t work. The door into longe does not close at all, there were a lot of cobwebs up high and a bin bag of rubbish left in the garden. There has been a leak from the main bathroom and the ceiling is stained and damaged. The main bathroom shower door does not close properly neither does the fridge as it doesn’t get cold enough. Our biggest bug bear was the oven, for two full size ovens there are only 2 shelves, no grill trays which makes it hard to even heat pizzas for a group of adults. The hot tub is a nice addition however I don’t think the chemicals were measured correctly as they burned our eyes, you must have the doors open fully on the hot tub shed as it’s not good to breathe in. Overall we would come back, the house really is a gem in a gorgeous location but it needs some TLC and attention 2make it even better

The cottage was like the pictures and was lovely and spacious. Rooms were a good size and the bathrooms were too. Kitchen was well equipped too which was great. Just a couple of negatives, when we entered the property, the kitchen table beside the patio doors was dirty and covered in crumbs and for a group of 5 adults, there was only 2 toilet rolls provided despite there being 3 toilets which meant we had to find a shop to buy some more. We understand that these didn’t have to be provided, however, we thought it would make sense for there to be at least one in each bathroom, especially when it is listed that these are provided. However, we still enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful clean home, the hot tub was out the front of the property which I wasnt expecting but it was private and well kept. There was a little stream running down the side of the property which was lovely to listen to on the mornings. There was places to walk near by and if we had been there longer would likely have ventured into Whitby or nearby villages. Great place to go for a few days peace

Lovely property set in a quiet corner of a cul de sac in middle of village. Parking is very close to house so easy to access and load/unload the car. Lovely and spacious property-nicely decorated. Beautiful big social kitchen diner lounge space. Bedrooms all a good size and very comfy beds. Very quiet so great nights sleep. Modern bathrooms with good pressure in showers. Hot tub set outside was one of the best tubs we’ve had - lovely and big with powerful jets and perfect temperature. Lots of towels in there too. A fab stay and highly recommend.

Beautiful property, so spacious downstairs for all the family to relax! All bedrooms were lovely and bathrooms very clean. Only downside was the lounge area door not shutting properly, just made it abit difficult trying to keep the dogs from going upstairs.

Our stay was pleasant, very modern house and the open plan kitchen & living room met our needs as a group. The house was cleaned but quite poorly as there were still signs on dirt on carpets, tried to hoover this ourselves but the bag needed a replacement and smelled extremely strong of pets due to it being full. Bedrooms very modern with plenty of storage for belongings. The only upset caused for us was the hot tub which was a huge selling point to why we chose this property. We were unable to use this on 2 out of our 3 nights stay due to it not heating up to temperature. We feel that something needs to be done to enable guests to use it on all 3 nights that are booked and paid for, as by day 2 the temperature had still only reached 27 degrees. We just feel on reflection the price we paid was due to having access to a hot tub as this is surely the selling point and we didn’t receive this for the majority of our stay which kind of spoilt it for us.

Hi good points , kitchen,bathrooms vervy clean, bedding very fresh and clean, carpets need a good clean. as mentioned in previous reviews the mattresses in the doublerooms are totally worn out ,and need replacing ASAP. none of us 4 adults got any proper sleep ,infact I decided to sleep in the single room , where the mattress was ok but not suitable for an adult. no wheelie bins , the hoover smelled absolutely horrible and didn't work properly living room door didn't shut properly. If these issues are not addressed I don't see how you can charge the current price per night for this property . on reflection I don't think we would use yours services in the future. sorry for negative review, if people aren't truthful about the review your less likely to address the problems highlighted. We really enjoyed our stay and overall the house was lovely, but there was some general upkeep needed to reflect the price we paid. There was a board loose below the oven that fell off every time I opened it, smashed glass left outside the hot tub and a bag of rubbish left in the back garden. Other than that, beds were really comfy and the house was very homely. The hosts were responsive and helpful too.

The open plan living area worked perfectly for us and the back garden was a secure space for our dog. The location was beautiful, and the hot tub was an added bonus. The house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The bed on the top floor was really comfy The two doubles on the first floor weren't quite as good, but overall we had a really good stay.

On arrival the views were spectacular! The Key safe was very easy to use which we kept using throughout our stay. Beautiful house and extremely spacious. The bedrooms were very cosy, modern and spacious. Kitchen and living area was very spacious and modern. Great surprise with the hot tub which we used when we had the chance. We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb just outside of Whitby! The location was perfect, and the space was incredibly spacious and modern. It was so peaceful and relaxing, making it ideal for a getaway. My dog loved it too! There were free tea bags, coffee & milk and toiletries, which were a great added bonus! We will definitely be returning. Five stars all the way!

We found Littlebeck House to be perfect for our needs. 4 adults and 3 children felt right at home as soon as we entered. It lacked nothing, was clean, and tidy with good attention to detail. The location is perfect, just minutes away from Whitby. we would highly recommend Littlebeck House.

We loved staying at this home and it would be perfect for a family holiday. We would stay again if it was just us but since we have a pet I doubt we will ever again. Unfortunately it is not as described i.e. dog friendly. The garden area is not enclosed as stated and our dog could easily run off from it if we had not blocked the pathway down the side of the house. Also the steps from patio to grass are not safe for anything other than a large dog being high and steep. The small grass area was new, therefore extremely sparsely seeded and very muddy, typical newbuild. A shame really as the house was nice but Definitely not dog friendly. ps the room door would not close properly so it was difficult to stop pets from running upstairs, needs sorting.

Everything with Littlebeck House is exactly as described. Welcoming, well equipped, clean, spacious and modern. Location is great in a quiet cul de sac in a quiet village yet within 5 miles of whitby center. Loads of positives, only 3 negatives... 1) for children and safety there really needs a gate along the side of house. 2) the bed in ensuite "attic" bedroom has the hardest most uncomfortable mattresses & 3) the kitchen needs some attention with over half the doors & door fronts loose or hanging off

Lovely place to stay. We stayed for new year as two families 4 adults, 3 kids an infant and a big bouncy chocolate lab and there’s plenty of room to be comfortable. Lovely place, couple of minor bits in need of repair but nothing to affect your stay. Highly recommend.

Great accommodation, it was great for our family get together. The place was clean, decor was lovely, spacious lounge and dining areas. Just a few little tweaks would make it perfect: One being not having WiFi, I just find it very surprising that such a modern house wouldn’t have internet access especially with the house being equipped with big smart TV’s in every bedroom, would’ve been nice to able to access streaming services on evenings. There was a nice garden in the back, some outdoor seating would have made it better. But all in all, it was a good stay and a great base to explore the East Coast.

Fantastic location. Was initially concerned due to previous review however we put a case to block the side passage and supervised the dog. House is brand new, there were a couple of snagging issues, but the host and stay team came out to attend very quickly.

Never have I ever wrote a bad review until this, milk left for us made us sick (3 weeks out of date) Dog friendly?? The back garden is NOT dog friendly as we had to chase our puppy who had escaped (no gate) open access to road! No WiFi! No signal! Showers leaking terrible! Dead flowers! No tea towels in kitchen, I could go on but I doubt anything will be done.
