The place was wonderful. The experience dealing with Host & Stay was really negative. Immediately after the booking I was charged for the full amount, later when they asked me for the deposit of 250GBP or 25GBP charge for insurance and later when we arrived to the property and we contacted Host and Stay it took a while until they identified our problem and resolved nothing. The day we were leaving the property I recived un email welcoming us to the property!!!

The flat was perfect for our holiday needs - clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. We loved the view of the sea from the lounge and the fact we were just a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. There is so much to do and see in the area. We hope to return to explore more places.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Gatherings, Northumberland. The accommodation is absolutely stunning, very spacious with beautiful views of the countryside and everything you need to make your stay easy & comfortable. The friendly owners live in the farmhouse and we’re on hand to answer any questions about the property, also delivered fresh farm eggs for breakfast! The Host & Stay team were in contact incase we needed anything. I highly recommend them and will definitely be visiting The Gatherings again.

The booking was easy, although there was a glitch with the software for the insurance waiver. A phone call sorted it out. The apartment was perfect for one person but two could easily manage. Lots of thoughtful extras were included. A little maintenance was required and reported. Also, although it was superficially clean, the fridge had bits of food in the corners and there were many crumbs and hairs under the sofa cushions. The location was superb - everything was within walking distance. It was quiet, peaceful and homely. The allocated parking is very helpful. Nearby Kirkleatham village is well worth a visit too. We just spent three great nights at South Cliff Apartment. It is on the quieter side of Scarborough, on a wide street. The flat overlooks a park, and is close to a Sainsbury's local for all our self-catering needs. The flat is beautiful. It's warm, light, airy, spotless. Its kitchen is very well appointed - large China mugs for a decent cuppa, and a small Nespresso machine. Shower was perfect. Living room has a huge, really comfy settee. Parking is free. It is a few steps to the cliff top from where you can walk into the town centre, enjoying wonderful views of the bay. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. It was close to perfection ❤.

This is a feedback for our recent stay at '82F Galgate, Barnard Castle, DL12 8BJ', 2 nights, from 10-12 Apr 2023. Location: - The house as such seemed to be nice, but it was not very practical - The beds were too short, only 180cm - No place to put clothes as wardrobes were missing - No ordinary TV, only Pluto TV with old series, or payed TV, e.g. Netflix - No printed user-guides in the house, to look how things work, e.g. heating, oven - One toilette was still dirty when we arrived - Cobwebs in every room - Heating problem, as described below Host & Stay service/hot-line: 1. We reported by email that the heating in one bed room was running full steam, so it was very hot, no one could sleep in that room, it seemed that the thermostat of that heating was not working & we asked for a third blanket (as we were 3 people) 2. We were told by email that we should use the thermostat in the kitchen and that they will inform the housekeeping team about the request for another blanket. 3. But there was no thermostat in the kitchen, so I called them by phone, but I was told that they have no people in our area who could help us, so, the problem would remain for the first night 4. Also next day, nobody showed up to fix the heating problem, instead we got another email in which Host & Stay asked us if the problem is still there ... I was speechless ... Also we got no third blanket 5. In the course of my complaint I was handed over from one Host & Stay employee to the other, in total 5, and nobody took action to send us somebody to help us directly locally 6. So, my personal summary for Host & Stay was: a) They sent a lot of 'I am sorry ..' emails (which also a chatbot could have done), but actually the problem was not solved b) They also pushed back a refund request that I asked for c) Their final email on this matter was that they '... will look this into [their] relevant department to address accordingly.' which did not help me and I could buy me nothing for My personal summary: - I cannot recommend to rent a location at Host & Stay - There are problems that cannot be solved remotely by phone and email only - I recommend that Host & Stay equips all locations with printed user guides (e.g. for heating, oven, etc) which contains also an ermergency phone number of someone who is available locally 24/7 Ending: - I am sorry that I need to write such a feedback, but it is what it is - Dear Host & Stay, if you want to become top providers of holiday home accommodation in the UK, I can only recommend to change your service as you will be judged how you behave in the case of problems (and not if everything is ok) Best regards

Ridiculous safety deposit amount of £250 required weeks before the trip and not returned for some time after and to take the p*&^ even more a £20 admin charge which isn't refunded. The £250 was even more than what we paid for the accommodation! Will NOT be using again.

First time staying with this company and the accommodation. Communication was great and replied with in 20 mins, house was very clean and spacious. It was well situated for our needs and will definitely stay again. Thank you Host and Stay Team

We had a fabulous break. Retreat by the sea. Was modern clean and very equipped everything we needed. We only had a 100 meter walk to the beach. We can highly recommend it and we would stay there again.

I recently stayed in a host and stay property in Knaresborough. The property was exactly as described and contained everything you could need for a self catering holiday. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Communication from host and stay from the time of booking to end of our break was very good. Highly recommended.

Princess Place is a lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights . right in the heart of Whitby, close to all amenities, shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and well equipped, it was so peaceful with no road noises or people walking past. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place. Super location this was our second visit in this property and we will return. With the price of energy at the moment I really think a toaster would be more efficient and ecomical than using the oven grill .

Disappointing response time and help whilst on our break. House we had booked for 20th wedding anniversary was dirty, house not maintained well, WiFi not working and dishwasher out of order. Sent someone next day to look at WiFi and dishwasher, had to chase them to see if anyone had been and where they were up to with repairs. Very poor service
